We are capable of knowing exactly what our partners need emotionally, mentally, and sexually. If we are able to shed the insecure nature of Scorpio, we are gentle, and value the process of just being with and getting to know others. One of the best features is the ability to deal with traumatic experiences in a cool and calculated way. We often if not always know when others are happy or sad, and are interested in facing issues honestly when they arise. We certainly have our negative sides too, but I think it's nice to point out that is Venus in Scorpio is like a dragon's hidden treasure, an exotic and dark aphrodisiac that demands an acquired taste.

I think it is the Neptune conj Sun which does that.
It makes you poetic and full of beautiful imagery

I never had a relationship with a Scorpio Venus but I did with a Scorpio Mars.
It spoiled me for men who do not have Scorpio Mars lol
It takes you in to a world, different,unknown, like a path that your heart always wanted to follow but never knew was there but it is the most natural thing in the world.

You can see this working best in terms of attraction, in a man's chart, or in terms of how a woman makes herself attractive, in a woman's chart.
For instance, I've noticed that men with Venus aspecting Mars in their charts, especially the hard aspects, like Aries types of women.

In my chart, Venus is in Pisces, tightest aspect it makes is a trine to Pluto, followed by sextiles to Saturn and Neptune, a quintile to Uranus, and a 5 degree orb conjunction to my Sun.

Venus shows a lot of things, apart from the role it plays in attraction issues.
It shows what you love, your values, your attitude towards socializing, diplomacy, but also partnerships.
It may also show your ability to express yourself artistically, the type of art you love etc etc, so on, and so forth.
I'd say, overall, the Pisces influence on my Venus is felt the strongest..I just love "magic".
But I also like the grim realities and practical details that go into making that magic(one of my new favorite films is "The Prestige", those who have seen it will know what I mean), which I suspect comes from the trine to Pluto, and sextile to Saturn.
I also like glamour, to a certain extent(conjunction to Sun).
I like the Marilyn Monroe type of beauty-fragile, vulnerable, yet very sexy, and very glamorous/glowing.

I love that you mentioned this. I have heard it referred to as x-ray feelings. Scorpio's energy is constantly spiraling inward like a turbine, asking, "Who am I, who am I, who am I?". When they turn their consciousness toward others, that energy penetrates the depths of the person they are focusing on. To some this can be unsettling, especially if they are private people or have something to hide.

It's hard not to notice when a Venus in Scorpio is scanning you. Those who don't understand what is happening can become uneasy. Those who understand can either become offended (though an untrained or unconscious Venus in Scorpio person is not intentionally invading the person's personal space), or open up to it and realize the Venus in Scorpio person is just as exposed as they are. In a way, the scorpion is rolling on its back and exposing it's tender little death-lobster parts.

I'm very difficult in relationships and it's like I'm on autopilot - I honestly can't help how I behave, this overwhelming fear of vulnerability and affection... and I guess there's a fear of being in love and being weak. The whole idea of letting your guard down, showing someone the true you... it makes me anxious.

Wit, humor and intelligence are an absolute MUST in a romantic partner.

When I got divorced, I dated a rock-climber for a couple months. He was the perfect physical human specimen. I mean WOW perfect body, tall, lean but muscular and not an ounce of fat on him. He was also a knuckle dragger. I broke it off because no amount of physical beauty can make up for no humor and wit. Attraction just dwindles down to nothing without those elements.
