I found this article today and while reading it, my Capricorn Moon screamed, "Yes!!! Finally someone explained it so it makes sense!!" So I thought I'd share it with you all. http://www.ericfrancis.com/issues/0307/capmoon_essay.html I've pulled a few quotes from the article that I thought were especially pertinent: "they will be the first people to tell you that what doesn't kill you makes you strong. Pain has turned them into survivors. When it works to the common good, they become unusually adept, practical humanitarians. When it works to everyone's detriment, they can retreat into themselves, putting up active defenses that seem aggressive. They may pass along the notion that pain builds character, by their actions. They may even convince you they have no heart. Nothing could be further from reality: these are some of the most sensitive people alive; it's just that they hide their pain so well. Part of how this can be done is by compartmentalizing their feelings. Cap moons are among the best feeling compartmentalizers in the business. This is one way they can avoid necessary change, or set aside their sensitivity when they need to." "They often have an unusual effect on men, who may feel: "I want you. I need you. I know I'll never have you. But I'm honored to be in your service. Please tell me what to do, and I'll do it." This power is often sexual: I have rarely seen sexual prowess, or depth of sexual yearning, rival this moon's -- if so, only in the most dyed-in-the-wool Scorpio types, and then in very different ways. With the Cap moon, sexual power is often secured by denying themselves and others gratification; with Scorpio, power is created through sexual involvement. But in surveying the many Capricorn moon women I have know, both personally and as clients, some of them, it is clear, just don't get it: they don't feel, see or understand their power over men, even though it may be glaringly obvious to everyone else. Often this is a good thing, and often these are the ones who wear their doubts on their sleeves." Thoughts anyone? IP: Logged |

I'm not so sure about the sexual allure of the Cap Moon ladies though. I have been told a number of times that I'm very sexy, but I laugh it off because in my mind it couldn't possibly be true (all I see when I look in the mirror is my awkwardness). Maybe I'm one of those that just doesn't see it. Not only that, but men usually run as fast as they can from me. LOL IP: Logged |

Now are you talking about men or BOYS, lol. Cap Moons give looks that they are unaware of sometimes, maybe evil sometimes seductive, but it's all natural (Earth). But you're not the only Cap Moon lady I've heard that from, so yes you may be in there, but one variety currently and not the other. All you need is to love living in your body, get back in touch and that is it. Maybe take tips from a Taurus. Cap Moon women are sexy, you may have internalized the media's msg that sexy is only one way and that's it? Just a possibility. Here's one I remember, Liv Tyler, she is quite earthy who in the beginning acted unaware, she reminds me of the quiet type strongly. IP: Logged |

Thanks for posting this JoJo! quote: Pain has turned them into survivors.
This is true for me. I've been through a lot of shiat lol But I'm such a happy person overall. I surprise myself. I'm genuinely thick skinned though, in the sense that - in any circumstances I find it easy to focus on the people I care about, the positive things that truly matter to me, and God. So I don't get down easily. quote: Part of how this can be done is by compartmentalizing their feelings.
Yes I absolutely always do this.
quote: these are some of the most sensitive people alive; it's just that they hide their pain
Honestly - this is the one thing that does not suit me. I'm a little bit sensitive but it lasts for such brief periods. In this regard I relate more to the Aries Sun interp.. because it can last minutes literally lol I'll be hurt by something, cry for 10 min - and then it feels as though it never happened. I'm moving on. quote: just don't get it: they don't feel, see or understand their power over men
lol Not -all- men.. You get the odd rebel. Usually he's a Pisces IP: Logged |

Thanks for the article! I am a Cap moon, Scorpio Sun...I wonder how my unconscious sexuality wars with my conscious one, haha... Lots of little ol' me? Gasp! (I know.)haha for real though, I am always looking for GOOD articles and feelings on this Capricorn Moon placement. I feel as if it gives a touch of cool class and style and a sort of hauty attitude, without the snobbery...just a natural, quiet charisma. IP: Logged |

Capricorn Moons in my generation (Scorpio Plutos) are always hot and cold. I usually hate dealing with them because I don't know which side I'll get. They're either completely delightful or all attitude. ):But yes, they do have an intense gaze. Not piercing like Scorpios, but it's strong a strong one. IP: Logged |

I am soooo glaaaad I have Aries Mars,Cadinal Mars,I think it gives me fearlessness that Cappy Moon, apparently, needs. Every Cappy Moon, men especially,r rocks. No- hiding their insecurities- ... However,I never enjoyed memories from my childhood-regarding responsability. I hated taking care of my brothers, just because I am the oldest. So I created a world of my own- I became secretive,scheming... Always protecting my sanctuary. I have seen many sexy Cappies;and indeed, men adore them. If there is group of different Moons, men will treat Cappy Moon initially with respect, even boorish ones. Something in Cappy Moon ladies begins with distant demanour demanding recognition, and end in loyality...and steamy sex I liked the article!IP: Logged |

LOL That's only because they instinctively know what happens to those who don't. But not Pisces men (Sun/Moon/Ac in Pisces *all* count). They're not scared of me. It's really interesting. They're the only ones it doesn't work with. I think it's because the Capricorn power lies in the boundaries they impose, and they can get almost everyone to respect these boundaries... Pisces being a water sign (and fellow transpersonal) finds it easy to infiltrate in the rock-like surface of Cappy. This can be an awesome experience, as it is with my best friend... or it can be horrible, as it was with my ex. :edit: I finally got a chance to read the whole article. Some parts are accurate for me, while others are way off. There was something about being afraid of 'love' offered by a dog. I love my dog very much and there's nothing painful about that. Some of the things there sound like a badly afflicted Capricorn Moon. Also - inspiration, joy, amazing things that catch my interest - are healing for me (when I have problems). Compassion doesn't mean much and it doesn't make me feel better. But I can understand that from the perspective of a watery person (a water Moon.. perhaps the author has this placement?) it would seem like we all need compassion at such times. It's a faulty impression though. There was something else.. I'm not a big fan of blaming everything on parents.. and I find this sooo common these days. The fact that people who have such psychological beliefs - say things like "Those with a bad childhood/problems will not admit to it" is even more silly.. because it leads to a circular argument: 1. I'm correct. 2. If anyone says I am not correct, it is only because they do not want to admit it. 3. Hence, I'm always correct. Period. IP: Logged |

My ex hubby has a 12h cappy moon and venus conjunct. We had opposing moons. Since the divorce he doesn't show his feelings often, but I could always feel them..like they were a smell that would take over the entire room. I could always tell when he was happy or when he was ****** . On and off since our divorce, he has had this amazing emotional explosion at me. He always treated me like the overly emotional person, which I am fine with, being mostly cancerian..but he denies his own emotions constantly and doesn't know how to process them. It made living with him very difficult since I was never upset about me being emotional, feelings just came and went..but with him..the come, they just never go. Is this a cappy thing or a 12h thing or both?

Was Venus in the 12th house, too? ------------------ Enlightenment doesn't result from sitting around visualizing images of light, but from integrating the darker aspects of the self into the conscious personality Jung I am my Beloved's.My Beloved is mine. My closest friend(male) has a Cap moon.I think it makes for a very loyal friend. They take values and character very seriously. You need to also if you are to be their friend. They let you in slowly and they let few people in,ime. ------------------ Enlightenment doesn't result from sitting around visualizing images of light, but from integrating the darker aspects of the self into the conscious personality Jung I am my Beloved's.My Beloved is mine. Kate Moss has the reverse placement, that's who I can think of right now..the scorp/cap is a v.potent combo.

Bahh, he does nothing for me. But Cap Moon men routinely make sexiest men lists, Jonny Depp, Brad Pitt, Ryan Gosling, Matt Damon. The only one I like celeb wise is David Beckham, ommmgggg, lol. He is beautiful. And of course Abraham Lincoln (except he is not living) I have a bit of a crush on him when I see the pic, lol.One fun fact is Tim Burton and Johnny Depp have collaborated on many films, and when interviewed together they remarked on how close they felt as if they were at home while together. Awwwww! Of course they both share the Capricorn Moon. They are so sweet together..

ETA: Astrodatabank doesn't have her chart, but astrotheme has the time at 2:30 with the asc in late Virgo. I love late Virgo rising looks, from what I see, but maybe cos they're trine my Venus. http://www.astrotheme.com/portraits/DRMH5mEfXJRm.htm Wow this gal isn't just any Scorp, Sun/Merc/Venus/Neptune, wow, can't go wrong with the major players there. And with this asc, it's conj Mars, Pluto, and Uranus. She is a powerhouse either way you cut it. IP: Logged |
