I'm a picky eater from birth. It's something I've learned to tone down through the years, but its still definitely there. I'm wondering what natal indicators could predispose someone to being a picky eater? I'm guessing lots of virgo could do the trick?

I'm very watery, sun, venus and mercury in cancer with a pisces moon and a scorpio ascendant. Lots of eighth house stuff going too. No virgo actually. If you want to take a look at my chart I can post it.

So interested in your thoughts on this subject

I have a watery chart too. I'm a Scorpio w/ Pisces moon, Pisces Ascendant, Scorpio Mars, & Scorpio Pluto. All the Scorpio placements are in the 8H.

I'm definitely a picker eater :]

I have a Virgo Moon and I'm not picky, but I am meticulous. I can't stand certain foods put together, and I prefer foods served in a certain way. I have a watery chart too, and my Virgo Moon actually falls in the 8th.

I don't think its the moon. Based on your placements and mine (Pisces asc and Scorpio/8th house influence is secondary to Virgo in my chart) that it has something to evolutionary survival and food. If the food doesn't give you the right "feeling" (watery placements/influence) when eating it, you feel that things can go haywire in your body.

It doesn't have anything to do with nutritional facts (all things Virgo). Are you instinctively repulsed right now that you are eating this, though a while back, you were gobbling it up like a monster...it's all based on feelings.

My 2 cents...

Yes I do try to stay away from foods that aren't good for me.

But the majority have stated that they have 8th house stuff going on = more scorpio than cancer. Even Cecilia said that she has 8th house stuff going on in her chart.

Picky to me is someone who will barely touch anything. That is not me. I just take issue with certain combinations of foods put together (like rice with sweet things, for example).

Hi everyone,
I am a picky eater and have a virgo moon in 4th house (5th house placidus) and cancer asc.
I wish i did but I don't like many vegetables, the ones i do like are tomatoes, courgettes, aubergines/eggplant, peppers and mushrooms. Pretty much all the other vegetables I don't eat even though nutritionally they are really good for me (virgo moon speaking)!
I am so picky that at 8 years old I got my mother to go into primary school and speak to the Head about the way they were serving food. They were forcing me to eat and after that they no longer did.
I have had eating problems most of my life (Princess Diana also a cancer did too).

I was a picky eater as a child. But that was more due to..things not related to food. (like baby sitter force feeding food that was not that great to begin with turned me off from a lot of things for longer than need be)

Now, I am very open to trying almost anything. Not picky. In fact, adult picky eaters, to the point where they won't try something new they have never seen are kind of a pet peeve (like a friend who had never had Indian and would not even try..how can you know until you at least see it, smell, etc. ugh) and I don't think I could be friends with someone like that..

scorp sun in 9, moon aries in 3, cap asc. In fact besides moon in 3 and mars in 1, everything in 9/10/11/12 house placements.

I was (already in high chair)/am and will always be an extremely picky eater. I don't eat meat and fish for about 23 years now but NOT out of principle. As time passes by it's only getting worse.. for about five years I can't even eat cheese just-like-that anymore... simply because of the animal rennet in it, so yes.. I have to look for cheese with vegetable rennet .. etc. Just the THOUGHT of eating the abomasum of a calf (rennet)... is absolutely disgusting to me, same as eating fish & meat.

I'm sure it's due to my Mercury-Virgo right on my Ascendant-Virgo.. (square to Saturn/Neptune opp. ??)

I have an empty 8th house and Sun in the 12th, Venus-Cancer, Moon-Scorp, Jupiter-Scorp conj. IC...

I was a picky eater as a kid,not so much now.Strange things like I always had to have a 'plain' hamburger,no mustard,no ketchup.Certain foods I wouldn't touch no matter what.Green beans! I am a Cancer Sun with Virgo rising.I think Cancer and Virgo play into being a picky eater, they are sensitive types overall and Virgo can just be so anal about things! I also think a lot of Virgo risers are picky eaters with Aqua on the sixth---strange quirks about food.

Pluto in the 6th house.
I eat everything.
I have a particular palate but I'm not fussy at all.
If its edible I'll consume it ahhaa
I think its childish when people are picky eaters.
They're people starving just freaking eat it you baby.

I`m an extremely picky eater: I stopped eating read meat and chicken at the age of twelwe and few years later I dropped fish and not ethical reasons. I don`t eat rice or pasta unless I´m super hungry. Canned fruits are disgusting and so are freezed vegetables I prefer them fresh. And this is just for starters I could go on and on. I´m not allercic to anything, just picky.

I have taurus moon (in sixth) like few other picky eaters. However I have empty eight house and no planets in virgo or cancer and only thing in scorpio is generational pluto. But i do have also sixth house Mars so maybe sixth house stuff has something to do with pickiness too?

mm....
seems that some posters are confusing picky eating with abstaining from certain foods or vegetarianism.

i think the op is referring to people who are/were just difficult when it comes to eating..

like, i was a huge picky eater, and i wouldnt eat certain things if they were prepared in a certain way. cooked tomatoes...no thank you.
raw tomatoes...delicious...
as in, just..being complicated.
a dish prepared by the family...no thank you.
prepared by a neighbor..delicious.
i have a lot of water, btw.

I feel like picky eating could be from Moon-Saturn [discriminatory about what you eat, picky]. I also feel Saturn in the 6th house of Virgo, Venus in Virgo [maybe] and the Moon in Virgo could make one more conscious of what one eats. It might mean being very careful about food prep [avoiding germs] or it might mean being highly allergic to certain foods... or just hating foods that other people like. Eating foods uniquely and in a certain order.
