This is something I often do to tell the difference between my BIG 3(Sun, Moon, Asc)The Sun dominates.....in my case...no exception.
The Sun is my view of life. What I think the essence of life is all about and that for me is ....Growth, discovery, adventure etc. All Sagittarian-like traits.
The Sun always wants to grow, live outside, open up ,take chances and is drawn to things that'll inspire zest.
How do you view life? What do you think is the essence of living? This may offer you some clues as to what sign dominates.
The Moon is the subjective experience of life.
The moon absorbs, feels, draws inwards, calms down, explores inner feelings, responds from within.
My moon sign is in Cancer and so the above qualities describe exactly the experience of this watery sign on my moon.
My moon is sometimes fearfull of what my sun sign wants to do and often my sun-sign is bored with the restrictions that my ,more safe-conscious, moon erects.
What life experiences do you draw inwards?
What are you most likely to recall about yesterday?
The Ascendant is the way you relate to others. I know that most people will say that this is the domain of Venus, but in my experience, the ascedant is your relationship with others on earth(all realtions)
Are you slow to get to know someone? Polite? Conscious of your apperance? Hesitant? Thorough? Private? Self-sufficient?
How do you respond when you are in a group of people that you don't know? Can you speak to people casualy even if meeting them for the first time?
Taurus is my Ascendant. I am very polite but can be rude and impossible if I feel like I am being disrespected. I also take time to really open up to people and make friends. Although I am very friendly and accommodating, I keep to myself a lot.
Imagine being lost in a forest;
The Sun "knows" that there is a way that leads outward ( your will)
The moon "feels" that it is getting hungry and that it'll be dark soon(subjective experience)
The Ascendant walks the path and makes adjustments where necessary (physical action)
