Ok so i am wondering this;
I don't know why but I was always under the impression that someone's ASC or rising sign is 'stronger' than their moon - what I mean by that is that they are more likely to recognise themselves by their asc rather than their moon....Well I hardly recognise myself in my asc...but in my moon, it's exactly me. When I look at a friend's asc and moon, I can see him in the asc perfectly but not much in his moon.... So I guess what I'm asking is this; is there something in one's chart that determines whether the moon is steronger than the asc? Or does it just depend on the sign? Sorry, if this seems dumb... i think mine is coz pluto is in the same degree. my moon though is in the 10th conjunct mc. they square. you's kinda see both if u hang with me. it's my taurus sun in 7th nobody guesses..IP: Logged |

I found it in other thread,Cappy Asc and Scorp Moon; These two have much in common,maybe cuz u r new to astrology,u can differentiate them. Many girls r more intuned with their Moon,one of two femle principles,than anything else. Maybe ur Moon has many aspects,which makes it prominent; Moon in Scorpio is strong placement,it could easily overshadow the rest of chart. Asc is very important,it orchestrates ur entire chart; It beings the story. Maybe u should look at the mirror closely,u r bound to find Cappy.IP: Logged |

What you probably mean is that you identify more with your moon, but I'm sure if others were polled they would give you qualities associated with your ASC--->the exterior you present to the world. The fact that you see more of the ASC than the moon in your friend is a perfect example of this. IP: Logged |

Capricorn seems to serious for me. I can be serious but I think I'm way to emotional to be able to relate to the cappy rising..... maybe it is because I'm new? Even what I read about appearance doesn't fit me at all!IP: Logged |

Well yeah, that's one reason (being a Cancer). But most people would naturally identify more with their moon than their Asc anyways, because the moon is more of the internal "you", where the Ascendant is alot more external. Outsiders, however, may only see your ASC...especially if its at odds with either your Moon or Sun. *I myself don't identify with alot of Capricorn traits, way too emotional (Cancer Sun) and mutable for alot of those traits. The ASC is what we show to the world. The Moon is ourselves underneath our Ego (Sun). Of course you would recognize your Moon sign over your ASC because you know yourself best and the ASC is just our outermost, superficial layer. You would see your friend's ASC over his Moon because you are probably more acquainted with his ASC, since that is his "mask."I have a Libra Moon and Gem ASC. (continue to my earlier post)i just looked some person's chart who i met quite lately and i remember that first i looked that "wow" how good looking that person was (venus ASC) and the next thing what i got to know about that person was musical talents, musical hobbies (sun MC) and actually i think that "artist type" was showing through that person even when we were just walking.. and it was about life's goals too, when we were talking about those; firstly there bumps up having family etc. which was quite sun/leo/5th house things also IP: Logged |

You'd never guess my Moon is Capricorn the way I act around people. I have a Libra rising and I'm talkative, friendly, boisterous, love to joke around and make people laugh. I'm nice to everyone and will be quick to claim you as my bud.So much so that one of my closest friends ever just doesn't see the Capricorn in me (though she sees the Scorpio sun). My Ascendant is probably really strong because Venus, the ruler of Libra, conjuncts with my Sun, so I have a lot of Venusian traits. The same goes for Jupiter which, factoring everything else in like other aspects and house position, turns out to be my strongest planet. So I dunno, I guess it could depend on how strong the moon is compared to the ascendant? IP: Logged |
