HI So what are the signs for the addictions? Neptune is a marker so neptune in aspect to planets and particularly stressful aspects. Also perhaps strong 12 house activity. However Richard Burton the actor who married Elizabeth Taylor battled alcohol and while she a pisces/scorp/aries blend also did, the above signifiers don't show up in his chart. So what else could show addictions? IP: Logged |

I would agree about Neptune in the 12th house. Have known addicts with this placement.IP: Logged |

I know Neptune conj the Sun.What other Neptune placements? I did not know 12th house but that makes sense. The 12th house person with any planet there is not of this world lol I have Neptune there which is the easiest planet to have there cuz it is it's homeIP: Logged |

Thanks for the insight. Well am not addicted to anything except food (virgo and cancer placements responsible me thinks) and astrology (um not sure maybe air signs?) but both am addicted to in a big way. Guess I thought they were less dangerous than drink, drugs or smoking. How wrong can you get. And that astrofix website author has only had it up and running 18 months and look how much stuff is on it, either she has superhuman energy or she is as addicted as she jokes she is!!only got mars in 12th and venus trine neptune in prog, so not sure what causing it. neptune not that strong in my chart. Also - Sun conjunct Pluto in some cases (continual need to self-annihilate). I have heard somewhere - Chiron opposite Uranus and/or Pluto - but this sounds like it could be generational. IP: Logged |

I don't have sun conjunct pluto and my aspect with sun pluto wouldn't even be considered by some astrologers (although astrofix is willing to extend the orb to 10 degrees) so it's not that, although I have pisces in natal and that takes on other peoples problems (2 people close to me have tight sun conjunct plutos) so maybe you are onto something there. And Michael jackson (ok hes a celeb and lives in a different world but is still a useful example) had sun pluto and got addicted. Wonder if it is pluto then as richard burton was very plutonic. Or chiron, do have a very tight sun eris chiron conjunction in aries (I didn't count eris chiron in aries in other post as they are asteroids). The eating/astrology; its not out of hand yet but am aware it could get that way.

For eating addictions, maybe hard aspects to Ceres. eg. Ceres/Moon for emotional eating; Ceres/Jupiter for voracious appetite etc??IP: Logged |

Drug and alcohol addiction can sometimes be seen with a Water Moon (susceptible) and/or the Moon in hard aspect to Neptune. Also hard aspects to a 12th house personal planet, especially from Neptune.Have you ever noticed that the hard aspects that show addiction can also show incredible creativity? IP: Logged |

OMG Lonake you are spot on AGAIN! Neptune in 6th (natal) yes I have this and venus progressed to pisces like when I was about 4 through to 2002 roughly. Plus clairvision says I have a strong 12th house even thouugh I only have 2 planets in there! Going to read the thread properly as just glanced at it. Thank you. IP: Logged |

House 12 is the area for addiction, so a negative or exact aspect from 12th to 1st ruler should be taken into account.IP: Logged |

saturn conj asc tightest aspect think it is 1 degree orb but shouldn't saturn reign in cancer rising? Also still cancer rising at the moment and saturn about to go into 5th house so could that explain why saturn is no longer restraining the eating (plus saturn is much weaker in the progressed). Thanks for your response coffee the other one in 12th is mars and that too is conj asc but very loosely. Both saturn and mars well aspected in natal except for saturn on the moon. Loose mars saturn conj in 12th in gemini but that is focused work ethic to me?! Could be wrong. IP: Logged |
