I have been trying extremely extremely hard, and it has been a huge struggle, nothing yet. I can not even sleep, awake at 7 to start the process and sometimes do not get back till dark. This has been going on for nearly two weeks (since i have recovered from sickness).

Honestly, any day that might turn out to be the day I get a job? What am I even supposed to do (career wise)?

I am really losing hope. I give myself another week before shi+ goes real south.

If you have a degree, there's no reason you can't be a substitute teacher or you may be able to get hired at the last second in a place that has a high need for teachers. I know it may seem like a debasing job, but I actually really liked bus driving, and it's one of the jobs that has a really low rate of depression. Bus drivers in DC make a good amount of money.

I know you're asking for astrological advice, but in case you hadn't thought of it, as a means of filling the gap.

How do I post current transits?

A friend told me merc in retro could be the culprit.

As for a bus driver, I would not be able to do that but would consider it if I could.

Have you done follow up calls on your applications? That's what I used to do and I got many interviews (and jobs) that way.

Just keep at it, and something will come your way.

I know of a guy that kept calling one place every day for two months and finally landed a job.

There should be a show transits button on the astro screen right above "back to chart selection".

ahh, I got a part time job but that means I still gotta look. I think I am in an impersonal city compared to how I like to do things. I am a face to face kinda guy career wise (even though i am shy in many other ways..

A lot of older people keep telling me I am in too much of a hurry and I need to slow down. Ugh, I just did the laundry and did not check the pockets and I am now down a cell phone. d'oh. Don't rush so much!

I need to learn how to slow down. (though you might not be able to tell on first glance..I guess when I am cooking I am always moving along, pacing, stiring the rice every 30 seconds...)

I also decided I will be happy to be single, which is a momentous decision within my head but one I feel will lead to long term stability. I think some of this anarchy (like leaving cell in pockets) has roots in my confusion with the idea of relationships (like I was thinking of a fight with an ex when I did the laundry), so focus away from that. Like alcohol it just poisons the mind (another thing I wanna cut out to be a pure minded soul.

Hei Carl. You not need slow down. You need sink into your self. Thats different. You have your feelings on the outside.Your NN conj algol and transit sedna just now in midpoint to your NN and ceres in trine to your mars...

Ive transit sedna conj my jupiter and I feel quick suddenly events coming . When jupiter was exactly in conj sedna in may also events out of control came in to life.

Your life looks like be in change...and someone with sun and saturn on MC like you not need to be afraid to be out of job. Your chart are gold for someone who want a good carrer.

Why is everyone telling you to slow down? You have mars right on the ascendant? You're not supposed to slow down.

Keep trying Carl, it'll get so much easier once saturn has finished opposing your moon in october although it will continue to cause problems for your mars until august 2012.

Transiting mars is still in your 6th house for another 2 weeks or so which should help on the work front...you could see more action

It will get easier again when merc turns direct on the 26th and we have a new moon on the 29th which is always a favourable time for job hunting etc. It could be a tough week ahead but I'm a big fan of new moons where new jobs are concerned. They always seem to make you more lucky.

Hang in there.

I do set a pretty frentic pace for a lot of things I do and feel everyone around me is too slow, slow in that they get in my way when I am simply trying to efficiently get from A to B. Not to be rude.

I know I need to designate some time to relax (slow down) and have always saw it as important, and have been pretty good at chilling. I think they mean, slow down in that I should be careful (like check my dang pockets before doing the wash). For some of the things I do, I agree, there is NO reason to be in a hurry..I should not be acting as if I am rushed just to get a load into the wash on a Sunday. So, in that sense I can see why they tell me to lessen the pace. Maybe better direct this energy cause maybe it is aimless? a little?

I have mars opp asc and sextile sun/uranus/midheaven. There are benefits to slowing down. Our western way of doing isn't very healthy, not to mention a frayed overworked stressed human being just doesn't work as well and they make more mistakes.

I'm guessing you have a lot of muscle tension. I just hope you don't have any accidents or falls. You're predisposed for more chronic pain conditions being that way. It's not about the accident it's about how you react to it that causes the chronic pain. Then you'll have to slow down.

Congrats on the part time job btw

well, I got a second job, that equals about 25 hours total. That is the good news.

The bad. I have 6 dollars to my name. I still owe 240 dollars of rent and have no food in the fridge. My first paycheck does not come for over a week and will likely be less than 200 dollars. What can I do??

Anyone have any info on..
plasma donations?
blood donations?
(in the dc area)

I might check out the soup kitchens, if I can even afford to get to one (metro in dc is expensive and I have 6 dollars on my metro card).

I am running out of ideas and hope. I even went into mcdonalds to inquire about work....
..Not hiring.

I'll do anything!

I read this then laughed when I saw in your chart your H7 ruler squares the ruler of your H3 that is placed in the 1st, and it's Moon sq Mars of all aspects.
Also pure minded v.Mars in Cap on ASC, clear and driven.

What would H7 squaring my H3 and being placed in my H1 mean?

Often times churches are great about giving food to the needy and working with whatever problems they have (your transit issue?). You might call some and see what kind of food assistance is available. It's horrible, but dumpster diving grocery stores. I took a homeless guy to do it a few times, and you'd be surprised at the quality of food. Maybe you could explain your scenario to the bakery of some grocery store and get an employee to give you something that's about to be thrown away.. say you come back at the right time. I worked at a highly recognized artisan bakery and we gave our bread away to the homeless at the end of the day. There's also emergency food stamps.. http://www.dchunger.org/fedfoodprogs/foodstamps/food_stamps.htm

Maybe you can find one that you can walk to (within 4 miles). If the DC bus system is still run by MV transportation (it was back in 2005) they have a policy that if someone refuses to pay they let them ride as to avoid driver assaults and harassments. Some locales will not allow that.. mine didn't, but it is a company policy. I wouldn't make a habit of it, but it's worth a try.

"What would H7 squaring my H3 and being placed in my H1 mean?"
---H7 is others H3 your mind so there is a disconnect there for you like you said with other people having sometimes too much influence and Cap Mars is v.clear energy, needs to set it's own path, on ASC emphasized, Cancer rules houses that have in the natal many changes as it's ruled by the Moon. Plus it's really the only planet-planet square in your chart, so it stands out. Ruler of the 7th in the 3rd says that you'd like others to be along your same train of thought to cement for you the value your ideas hold, the fact that it's the Moon means that you're emotionally nourished when this happens, when it doesn't then the square kicks in, excitable sometimes or irritable, strong reactions with Aries Moon, but Moon is disposited by Mars Cap exalted on Asc so it retains some control, more than another who has Mars in another sign sq Moon in Aries. Ruler of the 3rd in the 1st you need to be free to express ideas no matter what, this is strong part of identity. You also have Merc in 10th, and Mars/Asc dispositor Saturn conj MC, strong Mercury emphasis here, you need a lot of people to hear what you have to say. To top it off there's unaspected Mercury so it operates alone, forging its own path, at 0 degree Sadge it's wild with new ideas and philosophies, mutable so the mind changes often, incorporates new info and changes what it thought it knew with no ego attached (this is isolating the unaspected merc, not incorporating the mars attachment), the thirst for knowledge there is v.strong as is the need to make sense of the info being thrown at it and quickly form it into a working philosophy. Everything in your chart has as final dispositor the Scorp Pluto in the 9th house of higher ed/publishing/foreign travel, etc.

On violet's sabian symbol thread sand mentioned incorporating the symbol for unaspected planets which I really like the idea of and here is the one for your merc,

quote:
FIRST LEVEL: ACTIONAL
PHASE 241 (SAGITTARIUS 1°): RETIRED ARMY VETERANS GATHER TO REAWAKEN OLD MEMORIES.

KEYNOTE: The will to reaffirm the value of the struggle upon which civilization and group-achievements are founded.

Two important factors are revealed in this symbol: the men who have come together are Army men, and they are linked by actions and a type of consciousness that have roots in a common past. What we call “civilization” is built by constant struggles against nature, for it seeks to wrench power from nature. This element of power is seen in its most obvious aspect in the military consciousness. Moreover, all civilization is built upon the accumulated products of the experiences of past generations of dedicated men who agree to follow rather rigid procedures of work. Veterans’ groups in all countries seek to rekindle in their members the old fire of well-fought battles; but the type of abstract or religious thinking normally related to the zodiacal sign, Sagittarius, also implies a special kind of “fire.” It is a fire that burns the “now” of natural living in order to build a greater “tomorrow.” It is future-oriented It aspires to produce a greater, wider civilization, even though it finds its roots in the harvest of mankind’s past. Comradeship and group activities are implied, but the togetherness is one of fighting spirits.

This is the first stage of the forty-ninth five-fold sequence of cyclic phases. The symbol should be understood in its widest and most basic meaning, not merely as the reunion of old comrades, but as referring to the very power implied in the process of civilization, as opposed to culture — thus to the PERPETUATION of the spirit of struggle for power.

Merc is strong in your chart so this should resonate somehow. I don't particularly understand it but then 0 Sadge isn't strong for me. If you're not familiar with sabians you interpret for the next rounded off degree so 0'17 turns to 1. I don't really use them but her thread and esp. the site interps intrigued me and mine make sense.

-I searched this one under basic needs, food, maybe use google maps to orient yourself if not familiar w/area

I hope I got the right area, hopefully you can call around and/or one of these will be within walking distance, also not all social services serve all types of people, some spec. for disabled, or elderly, it depends, that's why I think it's better to call around. If you don't have phone but you have a microphone on your comp you can get a Gmail account and it will let you place calls, if you're not too concerned with other people hearing your convos since it's broadcast over the net. It it's not available in all locations but it may be in your area. http://www.google.com/chat/voice/
Here are some other links that came up in a search, http://icall.com/free-phone-calls/ --- http://www.evaphone.com/locale/en --- http://www3.goober.com/ --- http://freebies.about.com/od/computerfreebies/tp/free-internet-phone-calls.htm
I've never tried calling anyone over the net but it's possible.

1st ruler SATURN, 6th ruler MERCURY. Saturn will be exact in semi-sextile for a decent period, to natal Mercury, showing an important milestone in your working life. I'd imagine that when transit Mercury joins transit Saturn in Libra, you will be in the best position to get a job. Nothing is guaranteed with astrology though. Next 3 months are excellent! Good luck.
