I have gained like 20 pounds since Jupiter began it's super amazing huge buoyant transit into Taurus.

I've got it in my fourth house, with my moon there too.

How do I get off this ride?

All I want to do is senselessly eat, in a grand way.

HELP!!!

You need to not eat the same meals over and over. Variety as well as rich flavorful ingredients. No cheap things to satisfy Taurus. Or if you hafta hafta have the simple comfort foods that Taurus loves research recipes that remake them lowfat by way of substitution. Or you can have the super rich stuff but just a bit, not overkill. Like a few spoonfuls of some fancy ice cream vs. a pint of another cheaper brand. Things like that.

um...I disagree with the lowfat hon...ive lost 65 pounds over the past two years and not gained any of it back..the question is..what kind of food are you eating now? I am much more into eating food that is more inline with what our bodies are MADE for...and I have tried everything..what are you attracted to in food right now? examples?

What's wrong with remaking recipes to be lowfat? You're gonna stack on the butter that's 100 cal a tbsp? lmao

Attracted to sugar. In the form of cake, candy, jellies, Nutella, cookies...

I just eat this stuff like it's alright.

Food, not so much. Give me a bag of Oreo cookies and a glass of milk.

Ugh,I'm embarrassed to even admit to this.

I would jam pack myself with junk and get so sick of it that my body started to crave real food.
'Cept my weakness is salt.

so seelah, what did you do to lose the 65 pounds?

And yes, it's emotional eating.

My Cap Asc is on fire with Pluto transiting.

all that sugar sounds like something happening with venus and libra.. taurus can eat but taurus isn't a sucka for sweets..

i agree with whoever lost the 65 lbs.. though it's true that calorie counting counts, what u eat according to what you physically exert (listen to me being all sun in virgo.. yeesh) anyway, it works itself out.. going for 'lowfat' doesn't mean the product is low in sugar.. going for 'lowfat' would then deprive your body of the fat it needs... it's ok to be on a strict diet and then have a day off or 2 out of the entire week, so long as it's done with moderation!

I have some advice on here.. http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum3/HTML/002854.html

I was going to school briefly for personal training, I had untreated hypothyroidism for many years (severely slows metabolism), and helped my mother lose 85 lbs. You may be emotional eating. Try to eat more high fiber whole grain wheat to off-set the sugar craving. I forget how that works but it does..

Also, make sure you forgive yourself when you overeat. Sometimes it just happens, and if you're too harsh on yourself you get stuck in a cycle.

Okay...im the 65lb loser here

sweets..okay here is what I have learned as someone recovering from eating disorders and have done a ton of alternative healing work around my weight issue, and now it is just sliding off....

issues around sugar from an emotional standpoint have to do with you losing the "sweetness of life" therefore trying to get it through your food...depressed? emotionally up and down? harder to find joy?

from a physical standpoint, you are screwing up your insulin levels and if you keep this up, it will lead to diabetes over many years of abuse..you need to stablize your sugar levels. you can Low fat it all you like but low fat crap usually replaces stuff with carbs, which go into sugar and sugar which raises your insulin levels. This is bad..very bad..natural butter is way better than margine, maragine is like one molecule away from plastic! our body isn't made to break down food that is that far removed from natural sources....btw, any dairy is bad for you..we are the only animals that still intake dairy..and from another animal to boot..kinda sick if you think about it. *shrugs*

stick to foods that our bodies are made to break down...veggies, fruits, nuts and LEAN meats..organic if you can do it the pounds will slide right off. keep it natural as possible and raw if you can makes it easier on the body.

I wrote in low fat substitutions. If you cook then you know what it means. Substituting lower fat foods, as in different foods, not the same food with a low fat label.

I too lost weight (165 now 130) and have kept it off and have been my ideal weight for 3 yrs now.

Anyways,
sheepie, if you think it's just Jupiter then it is a transit and will pass.
Mine wasn't a transit, unless you wanna count a Jupiter return in the 4th.

Pluto Aspecting Venus: Stressful aspects of Pluto to Venus gives a tendency to lowered blood sugar (hypoglycemia). The other aspects that can do this are stressful ones from Venus to Saturn or Uranus. Doris Hebel first pointed this out in a 1976 lecture.
http://www.bobmarksastrologer.com/aspectspluto.htm

It is true Jupiter transits can make you fat as can jupiter aspecting the ascendant. However in the case that it is not Jupiter I have posted something above on venus/pluto/saturn.

Sugar--Sugar cravings are also caused by a lack of Tryptophan as well as chromium, phosphorus and carbon. This deficiency can be corrected by eating fresh fruits, vegetables like broccoli and cabbage, cheese and lean proteins.

Sugar cravings are also related to the release of dopamine, which is produced when you eat sugar. While this chemical produces a "feel good" response in your brain, it also is what causes you to become addicted to sugar. Sugar addiction can contribute to blood sugar imbalances which causes more cravings.

Carbohydrates--This kind of craving could indicate low levels of serotonin in your brain. Serotonin is processed by the amino acid Tryptophan. Increase Tryptophan by eating complex carbohydrates like whole grains and legumes.

^ Don't know how useful that may be with regard to your levels but there ya go.

lol that's the point you brought up.

Yikes lol t. Jup is almost exact opp n. Jup.
Was told last wknd by family how fit i looked so i'm still all right. I had a feeling I had some kind of Jupiter aspect going on.

Avoidance of meat. Fast oxidizers normally crave and require meat in their diet. If, for some reason, a fast oxidizer does not eat sufficient animal protein, his craving for salt may increase.

This is me, vegetarian, no fish, etc. and I overdo the salt at times.
So if you're gonna cut back on meat like someone said watch out for that.

The Sugar Addiction/Craving
The Metaphysical Meaning
You are missing the sweetness in life. You probably do not have much joy in your life and you probably do not deal with stress too well. Focus on what activity can you do right now that doesn't cost any money or require a lot of time that would feed your joy right NOW. It could be watching a funny movie, talking to a funny friend, watching a goofy YouTube video, or hula hooping with a child.

Food substitutions - agave nectar, maple syrup, honey, stevia, yacon syrup, lucuma powder, and sweet fruits

Ooh, sheepie, I just found this number,

June 7, 2011 Jupiter in Taurus

quote:
There is always another side to any astrological story. The generosity of Jupiter can turn to excess, especially in sensual Taurus. Over-stuffing ourselves with food, drink and smoke will diminish wisdom, as will greed of any kind. That’s because Taurus is a simple sign (I’m one) that can at times allow us to get so lost in ourselves that we forget how to share with others. We place quantity over quality, which isn’t healthy for the Earth or for ourselves. Fulfilling physical desires by appreciating smaller amounts of finer things slows down the rate of consumption, which is good for the Earth and us.

The bold part is exactly what I was talking about.
Taurus has a taste for the finer things in life.

interesting. i'm vegan (on and off for 14 years- though been vegetarian all this time) and i get massive salt cravings. only use redmond's 'real salt' though and my blood pressure is low 'normal' so i'm not concerned.

agreed on all points regarding sugar and complex carbohydrates! sugar is way too addicting. i'm so used to not eating it that when i do i feel EXTREMELY aggitated after a very brief and uncomfortable high.

oh and the jupiter effect is real! my daughter eats the same diet as me- very healthily, no sugar, vegan, minimal simple carbs and she is chubby even despite having tremendous energy (rarely sits still). not obese or anything. but yeah. her chart ruler is jupiter in the decan of sag. so. i am also jupiter ruled and though i'm constantly active and eat very well i tend to always hold onto an extra ten pounds. and i only overeat maybe one day a month at most (i'm never all that hungry), same for junk food. also my moon is taurus (but no sweet tooth) and i hear we are prone to retaining a bit of extra weight. so yeah, astrological implications are to be factored. then again, supposedly progressed cancer moon causes weight gain (it was unanimous on elsa elsa i believe), but i'm at 24 degs and it hasn't happened to me, nor the sweet tooth acquisition.

Hi there,
have you checked out ceres pallas juno and vesta? mine are above
someone mentioned ceres or vesta on a recent thread i was asking about food eating and additctions. i have since learnt that a strong jupiter (love of the good life) can lead to fat issues too, def true in my case, jupiter in pisces and report printout says jupiter fairly strong.

And for all the virgos out there, I am far from lazy, I have a virgo moon!!

i love the support here! my diet is unbelievably clean, in terms of what i eat, idk so much about it's nutritional content (such as chicken with insane amts of cholesterol).. but, these last two days i've been eating like the taurus rising that i am.

no joke about it.. i've eaten 3 bananas today, 2 bowls of oatmeal, two other boals of grilled veggies with about 3 scoops of cottage cheese melted on top of it to boot, i think i finished the last of the yogurt, i started the day off with yogurt, nilla wafers and a banana and i feel like the fattest wh0re in town.

i really wanna cut back on a lot of it tomorrow because i know this'll just lead to a whole lot of bloat.. and i don't like bloat.. i've been saying that i'm gonna go for a run these last few days but i never do.. i just lay back down after i wake up and get on the internet.. uff.. i'm trying to work that out.. but i've found that if i've had like wine or something with dinner, i'm game to work out.. courtesy of that mars square neptune of mine, it's how i used to do my workouts while i was going to high school.

i've gotta say that yes, these last few day's, i've been a little down which is what i probably attribute to the eating.. i had some milk today but it was almond milk (that silk stuff).. i cut off the soy once i found out it had estrogen and it could make make me develop boobs that i don't want.

i gave myself a mani today and usually after i pamper i always get back on the wagon.. it's gross how stupid relationship things can just kinda take u away huh?

has anyone seen how fat christina aguilera has gotten? she's going through her divorce.. she's been called fat by kelly osborne on tv for being such a ***** to her when SHE used to be fat...

i don't know how many people will feel sympathy for her because almost everyone that has said something about christina aguilera, has been that she's one big ***** ..

but i digress...

britney got a little chunky herself, too when she was going through it with federline

just thinking of those cases really makes me feel and think that being single should be the way to go and stay!!!!!!!! i look at britney now and then i look at her slave 4 u video........... you can't help but try to think about what the hell happened!!!!!!!?

then there's whitney... the all-star..

there's a case for u, isn't there? think i looked at her and bobby's chart.. his venus in capricorn conjoined her south node.

anybody else look into it before?

im freaking myself out here.

i'm gonna find the inspiration to not let myself get down by stupid dating games and remembering to stay beautiful so that life's wonderful door's can fully open for me.

yes, that's what i'll do...

Romance can really alter your looks. I was really pretty/attractive whereas now I am overweight and whereas men used to watch me etc now they don't bother. I put it down to root cause of an ex boyfriend who found it necessary to put others down to big himself up. So over him now.

So it is really important to watch your looks they are important, agree on the Britney past and present.
