I haven't heard of it or read anything on it, but I do know someone who has this natal aspect. He also has North Node conjunct Vertex/Mars, all in the 7th house. He says he puts a lot of energy into his one-to-one relationships, gives them his all. He has Venus trine Mars. Mars is in Virgo so he's careful.I suppose a square or opposition to Mars/Vertex from Uranus in the 8th might signify a violent death, in theory? I'm not sure. Dont go trekking over the mountains and avoid adventure sports at all costs.
It sounded like that to me...Life changing coups as in the case of an accident and becoming handicapped.IP: Logged |

Someone I'm close to, has his Mars conj vertex (2 deg orb)also conjunct his NN
all in his eighth house squaring Uranus.He has met with 3 accidents and one almost fatal snake bite and he is just 31 yrs old.I I think he was saved by Jupiter which is also in his 8th with wider 4 deg conj to all these planets. What's interesting is that my Uranus and NN is in tight conjunction with his Vertex,Mars and NN in our synastry.I dont know how to read this.Does it mean we had violent death in our past lives?

Interesting, Marilyn Monroe had Uranus & Mars in the 8th squaring her Vertex, each with a 5 degree orb. So they have the square from 8th house Uranus in common. Her death wasn't really violent though, just untimely and unexpected. IP: Logged |

Did'nt mean to scare you...Though the sentence in your post seems to imply that as a probability.All im trying to say is be careful not to indulge in any kind of risky behaviour as a caution.
You have to take other aspects into consideration before arriving at a conclusion.

Just to be clear, Vertex = a turning point in your life, an event that is forever life-altering

Are u into adventure sports or have a passion for driving vehicals at a high speed? Or is your career oriented towards manual jobs involving machinery and such?just curious...In which house is your mars?IP: Logged |

Oh weird, I have this in Pisces in the 6th house. I've always wondered about it. I don't know what I can pin point it on - whenever I use my defenses (Mars) in conversations with other people, I have been able to softly and almost psychically (the sign of Pisces) talk them into a calmer resolution - aka getting my own way through diplomacy (Virgo asc talking). But it almost seems magical, which is where I'm getting the Vertex comes in. I really have no idea though, just a theory. The 6th does rule health too, don't know if I'll die a fated death or not in those regards. IP: Logged |

I read this topic last night and was really interested to see what people would say because I have a somewhat similar thing going on in my own chart - not mars though. Venus is in a conjunction with my Vertex (although the orb is REALLY wide). My sun-moon midpoint is over in that area too, so...IP: Logged |

rorr now that feels really scary to me!I remember during my adolescence my mom wanted me to become a pilot..and I flatly denied it answering her-OH SO YOU WANT ME TO DIE SOON?? Now I really dont see any purpose behind living my life though...I really wish that you could change your job.
But on second thought Im more into sidereal astro than tropical so there again it could make a difference of opinion...since vedic astro does not use vertex.
I dont know what I would do if I knew before hand about someone close to me..who would be in danger of having to endure such a fateful event. I guess in this case we have to consider transits and progressions of planets to the natal vertex..for any significant events. IP: Logged |

Since you mentioned that your mars conjunct vertex in the sixth house is a natal aspect!Sixth house implies- energy directed towards work,health,employment and household chores.
You should be careful of cuts and burns as in Libra it has to do with the kidneys and, cosmetically speaking, the skin . Mars in Libra is in detriment stimulating a tendency to fight, battle, and argue with an opponent or adversary. One usually attempts to refine and harmonize in balance impulsive and passionate desires which are often directed toward the partner or spouse. One is often zealous for justice and what one considers fair, though one may compromise, conciliate, and cooperate. What is the orb of your mars and aspects?
Are the rulers of 6th and 12th exchanging if not where are they in 8th or something? Rorr please put up your chart as well and keep bumping it so that other good ones will be able to give some sound advice.

transit mars passed over my vertex about a month ago. that was the night i cheated on my boyfriend with someone i didnt really like that much anyway and ruined our relationship. the relationship wasnt entirely making me happy anyway, and the act was totally out of character for me. i've been suffering quite a bit since then.IP: Logged |

I have this Natally; in Libra, and the Nodes are currently Triggering the Axis.What I notice; not as a Transit, but as an everyday effect: It seems to be a catalyst of sorts. I'm usually a pretty mellow person, but sometimes it seems to set those around me off in an almost unbelievable fashion. I've never been accident-prone in any way. It just seems to affect others into quizzical oddities of personal reaction. I just shake my head inside myself and think "did that really just happen?" and go on about my normal everyday business (Sixth House.) Maybe it's the other side of the Axis in the Twelfth that sets off the irrational subconscious effects in others, I don't know. Guess it just sets off the looneys... IP: Logged |

Hmm I have the Mars square Vertex aspect. At a 0 degree orb. Uranus in my 8th in Sag too (yes, I'm a Taurus ascendant as well). But I'm a pretty laidback person although I can be impulsive. And I don't like being fatalistic, it serves no purpose but worrying and creating anxiety.IP: Logged |
