Could someone give me clearer definitions of the axes. I have some knowledge but both keep seeming to say ur real deeper inner self; and this seems too contradictory. I know IC is to do with home, roots etc and the DC partners and relationships and both are the private sides of their opposite axis etc. This site explains it a little... http://thezodiac.com/notworth.htm and here's a previous thread on LL that goes into some detail http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/018685.html They both helped but i still feel i would like more understanding especially when it comes to house overlays... I have knowledge of the axis but want more info on this true clear definitions. In synastry my bfs asc is on my MC and his DC on my IC; both exactly. My own knowledge helps me understand this to an extent but i would like to know really how this aids out attraction more thoroughly. Anyone in the know? IP: Logged |

I'll take a stab at it. Your MC being on his ASC symbolizes benefits for your status from your partner. I believe that could mean marriage. You look good together -at a minimum. Remember that both ASC and MC is about what *seems* or *looks* on the outside. Your IC and his DC is a good indication of joined family and social life. He could broaden your home life - are you a bit of a homebody? For him to have your IC opposite his ASC (since it's on his DC it's also opp his ASC) it indicates challenges for him to blend in a home life with you. You can take "home" broadly. For instance, in an interracial couple, "home" is the "roots", the culture each came from, etc. Hope this helps a bit. A IP: Logged |

Hi A,Thanks for ur response. Well its his asc thats on my mc and his dc thats on my ic. His is the outer wheel. But it would still kind of operate the same kind of wouldn't it? Our ic/dc is in the 4th and mc/asc in the 10th position. IP: Logged |

As long as it's a conjunction, it doesn't matter who is on top of whom (lol). ;-p IP: Logged |

The IC isn't you; it's your roots, your family and your home environment.IP: Logged |

Everything in your chart is you.The IC is that which has "formed" you from the earliest beginning on, that is why it is connected to roots and family. Because usually that is the earliest influence we experience.

This has helped, i wouldn't say im a homebody, i have always enjoyed home comforts and love the home but i am also a sag sun and love adventure, new experiences; which can kinda clash with my cancer moon. Could u elaborate further, that i take my home broadly? That i take my home in a broad sense; like wherever i am i take the home with me and ppl feel that homely-ness with me? Also, i never really thought about the fact that his asc is opposing my ic and his dc my mc and mine vice versa, i was too preoccupied with thinkin what the conjunctions could mean. IP: Logged |

I experience the IC very personally as my private space both in a physical sense (my home and family) and in a psychological sense (my inner core/world, internal experiences, psychological roots, feelings of belonging and inner security). To me the psychological element is more important. In synastry, if there was an overlay on the IC, I would be very sensitive and aware of the profound and personal impact the person had on me on a deep level. The DC is the place where I gain awareness about myself through significant personal relationships (both positive and negative). The characteristics of the 7th house are a little different from normal experiences as they seem to be the part of you that you can't understand directly, you only get to know/access them when they are mirrored back to you through your relationships. Obviously, in synastry, a contact there would result in me experiencing the other person as the mirror who reveals myself to me. (Sorry, very clumsy grammar!). Anyway, it would make that person very special. IP: Logged |
