i would look at your venus plus aspects to it and 11th house for more social matters.

my venus is trine jupiter supposedly making me popular. and my venus is also in the 7th house, plus my risings is in taurus and my suns in libra, so im suppose to be charming but who really knows?

also positive moon aspects like moon trine ascendent can give popularity becuase of feeling what others feel making people feel comfortable around you, haha. also moon in the 1st house gives a likeable nature that can make you popular.

with the 11th house id say if the sun, mercury, mars, venus are in it it can give a very social dimension to the personality. especially venus and the sun. ive heard that suns in the 11th are social animals for the most part, unless of course other factors change that. my 11th house is empty but my cusp ruler is aquarius and i think that contributes to me knowing a lot of people but not being too close or anything, i think uranus does that too. uranus in the 11th can also make it difficult to get close to anyone though becuase possibly at some given time their was a sudden break in a relationship that makes you hold yourself back, also just sudden breaks in relationships in general. neptune in the 11th can attract deceptful people as well

10th house i think gives a more status social seeking aspect. especially with personal planets

oh yeah and i think that jupiter can be a good indicater of popularity, like positive aspects to the ascendent and personal planets. mines in the 3rd but idont know if that makes me popular or just want to talk a lot. jupiter in the 7th, 5th, 11th.

as far as being a loner, i think my virgo moon and my sun/merc/mars in the 6th house contributes to that a lot. im very shy at times, probably with some help from my taurus rising too and i usually feel really uncomfortable in large groups. generally when im talking to people i dont know its like a nervious chitter jitter. my sun/mars/marc conjunction is also apart of a t-sqaure sqauring my saturn/uranus/neptune conjunction in the 9th/8th cusp with uranus which is opposing my jupiter in the 3rd. i think all that tension contributes greatly to my loner tendencies. ive also read that saturn in the 9th house, if it has harsh aspects can be extremely shy, which is so true in my case ha.

maybe its your 8th house that makes you feel like an outcast. i know that merc in the 8th can make you somewhat quiet and hold in what you say, so maybe it has similar effects with other planets in their giving that scorpio tint. .. maybe with 8th house matters makes you mistrustful or suspicious of peoples motives? i dunno if thats true or not haha. but it would be better to see the whole chart too cause maybe their other indicators too!

i think that pluto,uranus,mars can give loner tendencies and harsh aspects with uranus can make you feel like an outcast or alien. also, shy house placements or moon placements, since its a more solitude area in the chart can give a feeling of being an outcast since theres no desire to socialize.

awwww, my little brother has neptune in the 11th and he seriously is always attracting the most deceptful friends! it drives me crazy. hes a cancer and a total sweety, and i think kids can see that and totally use him, and if they get in trouble they rat him out or make up something about him so he gets in trouble, ugh... if we were closer in age.. id be putting some serious smackdowns on some 10 year olds haha

When I am at my best, in a good mood and feeling confident..I am popular in a good way..I know how to talk to anyone and I am genuinely interested in people and their stories, so I think I have somewhat of a social charm. Venus in 1st.

There are a lot of people who like me, but I have few close friends, and I tend to keep to myself and go off and do things alone because I like my own company and to be with my own thoughts.. I am definitely a loner and I avoid even my close friends.

i have merc sqaure uranus too, i dont realize how goofy half the stuff i say is until people tell me or they just start busting out laughing. some people dont get it though haha

-Sun conjunct Venus
-Venus/Jupiter
-Moon/Jupiter(especially quincunx)
-Venus in 3rd/11th or on ascendant
Venus on angular house cups may be as well
-A lot of planets in 11th house(even included saturn -> me for example)
-My many libra friends are very popular generally and i dont know the reason

I do hang out with the 'popular' kids at my school and have a long hours of chit chats and stuff but I wouldn't call myself as 'popular' either because I also have those other friends that I hang out with that doesn't hang out with the 'popular' ones. I'm kinda like in the middle....I guess? I don't really know..cos sometimes I'll just find myself being around with different people! I don't see why some of the 'popular' ones in my school ignore some of my 'not-so-popular' friends when they don't even ignore me, they would talk to me like how they would usually talk to the other 'popular' kids but then they would talk to my other friends as if they're 'losers'...sometimes I think to myself, I'd rather be with my 'not-so-popular' friends when my other 'popular' friends don't treat them equally as to how they treat me..it is so unfair.

I can be a loner only if I chose to. Like for example, if I want to focus in one of my class, I'll find a seat where I can sit and concentrate without too many people around me otherwise I just end up chatting with others...one moment I'll be like a little ms. chatter-box and then one moment I'll be like totally quiet hehehe

I don't think I'm cool but then again I don't think I'm a loser...don't know what I am lol

as I was reading other people's post I noticed that some that (might) consider themselves 'outgoing' has their venus in 1st, which I also have in my chart, prolly my Sagittarius moon added to this 'outgoing' personality i have and also my sun in the 11th, as what BeholdAstarte mentioned..?
