I was pondering about the partner patterns in the natal chart. When the "partner pattern / relationship profile" has been analyzed, the question arises how do we know which constellations in the other`s chart are pieces of our puzzle?
And how do we know which one are stronger than others?

This led me to singling out the "identities" we have, but in different regards.
(of course this is just a general approach, and others will fit in as well, but for me it is a working approach, at least so far, and at least indicating certain tendencies).

1. g e n e r a l identity
------------------

Sun in sign (3 points)
conjunctions to Sun (3 pt)
oppositions, squares, trines to Sun (2 pt)
tight sextiles and inconjuncts to Sun (1 pt)

ASC in sign (3 points)
conj. to ASC (3 pts)

ruler of ASC in sign (3 points9
aspects to ruler of ASC (conj. 3 pts; opp, square, trine: 2 pt.)

planets in 1st house 3 points
(do not count a planet in 1st house conjunct the ASC twice though)

2. e m o t i o n a l identity
-----------------------

Moon in Sign: 3 pt
Moon-aspects (conj. 3 pt, opp, square, trine: 2 pt; others: 1 pt)

IC in sign: 3 pt
IC conjunctions 3 pt
ruler IC in sign: 3 points
ruler IC in aspects (conj. 3 pt, opp/ square/trine 2 pt)

planets in 4th house: 3 pts.

3. m e n t a l identity
-------------------

Mercury in sign
Mercury aspects

cusp of 3rd house and intercepted sign:
conjunctions to cusp

ruler of 3rd house in sign
aspects to 3rd house ruler

planets in 3rd house

4. s o c i a l identity (though these are things that could also come seemingly from the outside to us, especially in interaction with the public, in terms of career, authorities etc.
-----------------

Saturn in sign
Saturn aspects

MC in sign
conjunction to MC

ruler of MC in sign
aspects to ruler of MC

planets in 10th house

5. s e x u a l (genderrelated) identity
-------------------------------

Venus, Mars in sign
aspects to Venus, Mars

5th house in sign
conjunctions to its cusp

ruler of 5th house in sign
aspects to ruler of 5th house

planets in 5th house

- personally I think that most women still tend to express more strongly her Venus in sexual contexts, and men seem to express more strongly their Mars (unless the other gender-planet is being conjunct Sun, Moon, ASC or ASC-ruler or sometimes even just in 1st house - these are ALWAYS general identity-significators), but I am still gathering my datas on this one before I can come to a final conclusion about that question.

scoring system:

0 - 1 pt: only weakly present or missing characteristic/ negligible

2-3: present to an average / medium degree
4-5: somewhat stronger trait

6-7. emphasized trait
8-9: dominant

10 and more: very dominating, maybe even exaggerated trait.

For me the listing would be like that:

1. general identity:
------------------
Sun in Sagittarius (Jupiter): 3 pts
Sun conj. Mercury (Mercury): 3 pts

ASC in Sag (jupiter) 3 pts
ASC conj. Mars (Mars): 3 pts
asc conj. Neptune (Neptune) 3 pts

ruler of ASC in Pisces (Neptune) 3pts
ruler of ASC square Neptune: 2 pts
ruler of ASC inc. Pluto: 1 pt

Sun in 1 (Sun): 3 pts
Mercury in 1 (Mercury): 3 pt
Venus in 1 (Venus): 3 pt
Neptune in 1(Neptune) - not counted because it is also conj. ASC and therefore already counted

Neptune: 8 pt
Jupiter: 6 pts
Mercury: 6 pts.
-------------

Mars: 3 pts
Sun: 3 pt
venus: 3pt

---------------

Pluto: 1 pts (neglectable)

or another example:

Venus in Cap (Saturn) 3 pts
Venus square Pluto. 2 pts

5t house: Taurus (Venus: 3 pts
ruler 5 in Cap (Saturn) 3 pts
ruler 5 square Pluto : 2 pts

Saturn: 6 pts
Pluto: 4 pts

Venus: 3 pts.

No that one is just for filtering the dominant planets; I guess we know intuitively which one are important / dominant, but I am always trying to find methods of "objectification" to not overemphesize what I like and neglect what I dislike, even though it may be stronger.

For me it actually makes very much sense that Neptune, Mercury and Jupiter seem to be the most dominant planets of my general idenity.
I found myself nodding to myself and saying: "Yep, that`s me." lol

This looks very interesting but i cant stand it? Can you explain more, what's the idea? And why there is no scoring for every planet?

The scoring the same for any planet:

Planet in sign 3 points
aspects to planet (conj. 3 pts, opp. trine, square 2pts.)
associated house cusp in sign 3 pts
ruler of ass. house in sign 3 pts
aspects to ruler of the house (conj. 3pts, opp, trine, square 2 pts)
planet in the house 3 points

The idea behind it is that sometimes people can be very different in certain areas of their lives.

In my chart there is this dominance of Neptune, Jupiter and Mercury in terms of my general personality; but if I investigate my sexual profile or "my feminity", there is a dominance of Saturn, Pluto and Venus (Taurus).

Complete contrast, you see?

Let me give you an example for my "mental identity":

Mercury:
----------
in Sagittarius - Jupiter (3 pts)
conj. Sun - Sun (3 pts)

3rd house:
--------------
cusp 3 Aquarius - uranus (3)
Uranus in Scorpio - Pluto (3)

Pisces intercepted in 3 - Neptune (3)
Neptune as ruler of 3 in Sag - Jupiter (3)
Neptune conj. Mars - mars (3)
Neptune square Jupiter - Jupiter (2)
Neptune sextile Pluto - Pluto (1)

Jupiter in 3 - Jupiter (3)

results:

Jupiter (11)
Pluto (4)

Neptune (3)
Sun (3)
Uranus (3)
Mars (3)

The funny thing about it is that my Mercury is coincidentally also conjunct the Jupiter/Pluto-midpoint. lol

The ruler of your ASC is not conjunct Pluto.
Pluto IS the ruler of your ASC; it cannot conjunct itself (pluto conjunct Plutot hat is). Instead it conjuncts the ASC, but the ASC is not a planet, so it is not counted.

In modifying this scoring list I was wondering if to integrate the houseplacements.

For example: Ruler of ASC in 3rd house, often gives a mercurial vibe.

But I would attribute only 2 points for this, and maybe would give the planets in 1st house (if not conjunct ASC) only 2 points as well.
And for conjunctions of planets to ASC, but from 12th house, also only 2 points, as I think those on the ASC AND in 1st house might be stronger.

Just an alternative thought.

"i wonder what it means when there is no dominant in one area.."

I think it means that there is a certain balance; having a very dominant planet can sometimes cause troubles as it might get overbearing; maybe also affects your relastionship with other people in strong ways.
Let`s say you have an extraordinarily strong Pluto. Then IŽd say that people who have Pluto as partner pattern might be totally drawn to you, but at the same time other people, who do not like Pluto that much, might be very critical of these traits.

In a nutshell people with one or more very dominant planets might polarize a lot. Either people love them or the other thing.

BTW even a score of 4 or 5 points for a planet indicates that it is very present on that level of personality.

I assume that if a planet has more than 10 points, it is not necessarily a good thing.
I mean let`s take Neptune as an example.
A little bit Neptune (let`s say 5 or 6 points) might be nice, adding that dreamy magiclike quality.
But now imagine we`d have a Neptune with a score of 15 without any other planets being nearly as strong, this person might be so Neptunian, it could get difficult for them to get their feet on the ground, at least now and then. neptune in an extreme form makes it extremely hard to somehow "function" in the real world. And it would show, I think.

ic ic! my eyes hurt now from all these rulers hehe but i was just interested to try anyway.

2 points is huge in the scoring. if i do stuff wrong one planet can easily get ahead if you fail to give credit to an aspect.

so just looking at the first one i did general identity, would i like plutonic partners myself since i scored moderately high on that? even though i overscored..

Yes, I know.

" just looking at the first one i did general identity, would i like plutonic partners myself since i scored moderately high on that? even though i overscored.."
For your partnerpattern you would look towards the 5th and 7th house.

But of course if someone is Plutonic as well, you would "vibe" with them, there might be a sense of "I totally get you and you get me". A strong familiarity.
And it is of course helpful if you want to share your lives together.

Lol can this be possible when i got everything more than 20? so everything is very strong in me?

1. g e n e r a l identity was the most strongest (what that means?)

And 4. s o c i a l identity is the most lowest and the others are exactly same

It is more about the planets that are emphasized in EACH category.

I think that it is perfectly possible to have more than 20 points in a category (as the sum of ALL planets that appear in the category); that usually happens when a planet has several aspects, plus the ruler has many aspects plus there are several planets in the relevant house.

For example the score is high for my general and mental identity as well, because for general we are looking at 1st house and there are Neptune, Sun, Mercury and Venus in there plus the ruler of the 1st house is very much aspected.

for the mental category there are many points as well, just because I have an intercepted sign in 3rd house, which means that there are two rulers with their aspects, and one of these rulers is probably my most aspected planet.

I think it is more relevant how many point each single planet per category has.

For me it actually makes very much sense that Neptune, Mercury and Jupiter seem to be the most dominant planets of my general idenity.
I found myself nodding to myself and saying: "Yep, that`s me." lol

with the new scoring method i get the exact same three dominants like in the pullen software. pluto, venus, mars. except it's venus, pluto, mars there.

BTW what does the moon being tops in the social identity category mean? what about saturn being the highest in sexual identity?

off topic but is this kind of how you do ruler of houses with planets?

"went with sag (placidus) instead of cap (equal)."
To be honest, Placidus has always worked best for me when including houserulers.
From a philosophical / theoretical point of view I very much wanted to switch to equal, but the results just weren`t so much aligned with reality. I even analyzed a chart of soomeone born in Sweden with ASC 15 Cancer and IC 14 Leo with equal and Placidus, gave her both interpretations to read and let her decide which reflected her life and personality best. I was certain she would pick the one with equal system.
Well, I was wrong. Apparently the Placidus-interpretation did not only describe her the best, but also circumstances of her life, childhood, relationships etc.

Anyway if you want to use equal and Placidus, I would make two calculations, one for Placidus, one for equal and then compare, but not mixing up those two. This will distort results.

"with the new scoring method i get the exact same three dominants like in the pullen software. pluto, venus, mars. except it's venus, pluto, mars there. "
That`s interesting.

But Pullen gives you the overall score, and this method splits it into different categories.

"BTW what does the moon being tops in the social identity category mean?"
Probably that others (from a distance), especially when you are in some kind of social function, perceive you as lunar. Or that you exhibit caring on a public level.

Though it depends which planet comes next. Definitely a difference if that Moon is coupled with Venus and Jupiter or with Saturn and Pluto.

" what about saturn being the highest in sexual identity?"
That, no matter how lighthearted you may be in other areas, the area of sexuality is a serious one for you.
Saturn can have a lot of expressions of course.

But I have it myself Saturn mixed with Pluto there, and for me it means that I tend to control myself quite a bit in that regard, because I know that I cannot take these things lightheartedly.

It also means that I tend to be rather critical (to the point of selfdeprecation) towards my own feminity.
But that could be a speciality of mine.

Saturn there also gives a more focused, earthy sensuality. (But whereever Saturn is there often is an tendendy to either suppression or compensation; I tend to suppress and being extremly shy in this regard, to the point of being blocked, but for others it may be different).

"off topic but is this kind of how you do ruler of houses with planets?"
Yes.

Oh, how cool!!! Lemme try mine...

1. General Identity

Sun in Aries - Mars 3 pts
Sun in 2nd house - Venus 2 pts
Sun conjunct Mercury - Mercury 3 pts
Sun trine Jupiter - Jupiter 2 pts
Sun trine Uranus - Uranus 2 pts
Sun parallel Pluto - Pluto 1 pt (I feel it)

Asc in Capricorn - Saturn 3 pts
Well, I have no conjunctions to my Asc, BUT I have other aspects, which you didn't include in the score system. I'd like to score them as you listed for Sun. I think they're important too.
Asc trine Venus - Venus 2 pts
Asc square Mercury - Mercury 2 pts
Asc square Mars - Mars 2 pts
Asc square Pluto - Pluto 2 pts
Asc square Saturn (though wide, I feel it) - Saturn 2 pts

I also have Aqua intercepted in my 1st, so I'm gonna count that too - Uranus 2pts?

Asc-ruler Saturn
Saturn in Scorpio - Pluto 3 pts
Saturn in the 9th - Jupiter 2 pts
Saturn conj Pluto - Pluto 3 pts
Saturn opp Mars - Mars 2 pts
Saturn opp Mercury - Mercury 2 pts
Saturn sextile Moon - Moon 1 pt
Saturn sextile Neptune - Neptune 1 pt

Intercepted 1st house ruler - Uranus (should I count this too?)
Uranus in Sagittarius - Jupiter 2 pts?
Uranus in 10th house - Saturn 1 pt?
Uranus trine Sun - Sun 1pt?
Uranus conj Jupiter - Jupiter 2 pts?

Seems like my identity is a bit complex...
Pluto 9 pts
Jupiter 8 pts?
Mars 7 pts
Mercury 7 pts
Saturn 6 pts?
Venus 4 pts
Uranus 4 pts?
Sun 1 pt
Moon 1 pt
Neptune 1 pt

Sounds about right for the identity thing. I identify mostly with Cap/Scorpio types.

2. Emotional Identity

Moon in Sagittarius - Jupiter 3 pts
Moon on 11/12th house cusp, technically in the 11th - Uranus 2pts
Moon conj Neptune - Neptune 3 pts
Moon trine Mercury - Mercury 2 pts
Moon trine Mars - Mars 2 pts
Moon sextile Saturn - Saturn 1 pt
Moon sextile Pluto - Pluto 1 pt

IC in Taurus - Venus 3 pts
IC conj Venus from 3rd - Venus 2 pts
IC conj Chiron in 4th - Chiron 3 pts

IC ruler Venus
In Taurus - Venus 3 pts
In the 3rd house - Mercury 2 pts
Conj Chiron - Chiron 3 pts

Chiron in the 4th house - Chiron 2 pts

Venus 8 pts
Chiron 8 pts

Mercury 4pts
Jupiter 3 pts
Neptune 3 pts
Uranus 2 pts
Mars 2 pts
Saturn 1 pt
Pluto 1 pt

Weird finding, considering Venus and Chiron are a duet (two unaspected planets, aspecting only each other), but they rule my emotional life. It's accurate...

Mental Identity

Mercury in Aries - Mars 3 pts
Mercury in 2nd house - Venus 2 pts
Mercury conj Sun - Sun 3 pts
Mercury conj Mars - Mars 3 pts
Mercury trine Moon - Moon 2 pts
Mercury trine Neptune - Neptune 2 pts
Mercury opp Pluto - Pluto 2 pts
Mercury opp Saturn - Saturn 2 pts

3rd house in Aries - Mars 3 pts
3rd house cups conj Mercury from the 2nd but just by minutes - Mercury 2 pts

Ruler of the 3rd Mars
Mars in Aries - Mars 3 pts
Mars in 3rd house - Mercury 2 pts
Mars conjunct Mercury - Mercury 3 pts
Mars trine Moon - Moon 2 pts
Mars trine Neptune - Neptune 2 pts
Mars opposite Pluto - Pluto 2 pts
Mars opp Saturn - Saturn 2 pts

Planets in the 3rd
Mars 2 pts
Venus 2 pts

So the score looks like this...

Mars 14 pts
Mercury 7 pts
Venus 4 pts
Moon 4 pts
Neptune 4 pts
Pluto 4 pts
Saturn 4 pts
Sun 3 pts

Yup, my thinking is Martial alright...

4. Social identity

Saturn in Scorpio - Pluto 3 pts
Saturn in the 9th - Jupiter 2 pts
Saturn conj Pluto - Pluto 3 pts
Saturn opp Mars - Mars 2 pts
Saturn opp Mercury - Mercury 2 pts
Saturn sextile Moon - Moon 1 pt
Saturn sextile Neptune - Neptune 1 pt

MC in Scorpio - Pluto 3 pts
No conjunctions, but
MC opposite Venus - Venus 2 pts
MC opposite Chiron - Chiron 2 pts
MC quincunx Mercury - Mercury 1 pt

MC ruler Pluto
Pluto in Libra - Venus 3 pts
Pluto in the 9th - Jupiter 2 pts
Pluto conj Saturn - Saturn 3 pts
Pluto opp Mars - Mars 2 pts
Pluto opp Mercury - Mercury 2 pts
Pluto sextile Moon - Moon 1 pt
Pluto sextile Neptune - Neptune 1 pt

Planets in the 10th
Jupiter 2 pts
Uranus 2 pts

Score table:

Pluto 9 pts
Jupiter 6 pts
Venus 5 pts
Mercury 5 pts
Mars 4 pts
Saturn 3 pts
Uranus 2 pts
Moon 2 pts
Neptune 2 pts
Chiron 2 pts

Seems like my general identity is in agreement to my social identity, so I'm not a fake. Just very Plutonian, it seems.

5. Sexual identity

Venus in taurus - Venus 3 pts
Venus in the 3rd - Mercury 2 pts
Venus conj Chiron - Chiron 3 pts

5th house in Gemini - Mercury 3 pts

Ruler of 5H Mercury
Mercury in Aries - Mars 3 pts
Mercury in 2nd house - Venus 2 pts
Mercury conj Sun - Sun 3 pts
Mercury conj Mars - Mars 3 pts
Mercury trine Moon - Moon 2 pts
Mercury trine Neptune - Neptune 2 pts
Mercury opp Pluto - Pluto 2 pts
Mercury opp Saturn - Saturn 2 pts

Score sheet:

Mars 6 pts
Venus 5 pts
Mercury 5 pts
Chiron 3 pts
Sun 3 pts
Moon 2 pts
Neptune 2 pts
Saturn 2 pts
Pluto 2 pts

That's just great! I'm a woman and my sexual identity is Mars. Yeah. My boyfriend criticized me on this, he said I want to wear the pants in the relationship. Pfff. Unfortunately, also true. Weird though that my Mental and my Sexual Identity are both Martial. Always thought the two were connected.

------------------
Whatever you give to a woman, she will make it GREATER. Give her SPERM, she will give you a BABY. Give her a HOUSE, she will give you a HOME. Give her GROCERIES, she will give you a MEAL. Give her LOVE, and she will give you her HEART! She multiplies and enlarges what she is given. So, if you give her CR@P, be prepared to receive a ton of SH!T!
