I’m a Capricorn Sun with Saturn my ruling planet at zero degrees Virgo… trineing my Venus at 29 degrees of Sagittarius… as it happens I also have and Sag rising, and Venus falls into my 1st house… yeah I do tend to focus quite a bit on improving my health and appearance…

Looking good isn’t everything… but it sure is nice.

It sounds like you care about health a lot and have a healthy concern for your appearance. You don't sound obsessed with looking good ALL the TIME.

I am sure you look pretty even when you are not looking perfect.

My wife wants me to look good all the time. I like it most of the time, but sometimes I just like dressing down and relaxing. Of course, looking good is her profession. She was a designer. She has a Leo Sun and Leo Mars, Gemini Moon and Virgo Venus.

I'm like the original post.
I'm a sun sign (and Mercury) Libra. Venus in Scorpio. ZERO Virgo placements and an empty sixth house. Cap Mars.

I try to exercise at least 5 hours a week; hasn't been that much lately, though. I am VERY strict about what I eat; if it's a holiday, I go lighter for a few days before and afterwards to balance that. Exercise makes me feel good as well as look nice. It's a great stress reliever.

I don't leave the house without makeup. I LOVE dressing up. I feel MUCH better when I know that I look nice.

I'm also determined to stay healthy and take care of myself. I don't want to end up in a home or rotting away somewhere. As I've said many times, Catherine Deneuve is my inspiration (among others too who aged well--I've noticed that Cap-influenced people tend to age well so since I have two planets there, I'm holding out hope!)

My goal is to age very gracefully and to be absolutely beautiful. I want to just keep getting better and better as I age. I've been stressed out and busy lately, but, now that the busy is over for now, looking forward to getting back into my beauty routines.

I don't feel that age determines beauty by any means.

A lot of the people that I've known who have hated their bodies/have had body issues have been women with Virgo prominent. I've also known a lot of Virgos who are very health-conscious and fitness-conscious--some in healthy ways, others to extremes.

Wow, I feel the same way. And I am a guy.

At times, however,I do feel that if I stress too much about how I look like, I might be missing the point-enjoying life.

I gym twice a week for about 2 hours. I am also strict about what I eat but suffer cravings at times, and then I indulge-but it never goes overboard.

I think generally I have a good self-image but yeah, I do get what you mean about Capricorn placemnets and aging well...

My mom and Dad are Saturn-Venus conj Cap, Moon-Saturn conj Cap respectively.

I'm broke too but I walk every day outside, it's free, and my diet consists of water, grapefruits, water, boiled eggs, water, bananas, water, raw vegetables, water, fish and water. You don't need to spend money on expensive health therapies! Think Adam & Eve! They (if they existed) were healthy and didn't have any gyms or health food stores. The earth provides everything you need and you have legs!!! It's 5am right now in Australia and raining and cold and I'm about to go for a long walk. :-D

What i have noticed about people who are caps or people who have cap in venus is that they eat super healthy. They have the discipline needed to maintain on a daily basis a healthy diet and take it seriously. These cap placements result in a very long life span. I think this is so bc caps value longevity and want to leave a long life and have the discipline to make this possible and they care about appearances bc this sign rules the 10th house. My mom is a cap with virgo rising and she is obsessed with everyone been in shape LOL.

Interesting stuff it seems that Saturn influencing Venus results in discipline with diet and consciousness about eating healthy as well as virgo influencing venus even more is saturn is influencing the venus in virgo (virgo worries about health and saturn provides the discipline).

Very good thread.

Funny Iv'e never liked my Mars in Taurus much until you pointed this out. But I guess earth signs are practical, one thing going for them. When someone talks about money preventing them from doing things it always hits a nerve with me. I'm now coming out the other side of a very serious financial situation, and being the sole provider of 2 children I didn't want my situation to impinge on their well being so I was forced to look around and find alternative ways to provide the best for them with VERY little money. I'm no tree hugging hippy but the fact is this planet DOES have everything we need on it whether you have money or not. There's a way around everything if you just look. The only thing it doesn't provide is the motivation or common sense to find other ways of doing things, that's up to us. That combined with the Sag philosophy I think my hardship was destined to happen so that I could learn this stuff and teach it to my kids. No self pity allowed in our house!

I've got virgo, libra, aries in me + cap outer planets and I think I'm quite *semi obsessed (in a healthy kind of way though) with looking well put together.

These days I'm going powerwalking/jogging for 2 hours daily. I also do yoga, used to do pilates, cardio etc. Have toned up my whole body atm, so that's good!

I eat alot but watch what I eat, and I have a whole skin care regime I do lol.
Atm, trying to get more noticeable abs (am very nearly there! Yay)

In terms of dressing and grooming, I'm pretty meticulous at times. But at the same time, my aries side tones it down (thank god! Lol)
