Are there any indicators in the chart that might point out that the person has an affinity towards older partners and vice versa?I'm new to astrology, so forgive me if my question is a bit ridiculous IP: Logged |

My Venus is in Leo. But Saturn has a lot of aspects, I think. It is in the IX house (in Sag) and conjuncts Moon and Uranus, and trines Sun, Venus, Mars and Asc :PIP: Logged |

I don't think there is an accurate indicator of any kind in astrology, it seems simply like personal preference. One of my friends who is a Taurus Sun, Pisces Moon, Mars in Gemini, only dates older men. She's 24 and these men range from around 50 - 55 years old. Most of them are very wealthy, Broadcast network executives, Art Gallery dealers, the works. She doesn't have dominant Saturn or Capricorn in her chart. But she does have dominant Taurus! Saturn in the 7th house, your 7th house being ruled by Capricorn, or Venus in Capricorn. You might also attract a lot of Capricorns if you're a Gemini 'cause Geminis turn them on in a dirty old man kind of way. Also Venus in Cap like everyone has said, the only reason I think Capricorn is because I have Sat, Ur, and Neptune all in my 7th in Capricorn and older men always tell me how beautiful and attractive I am. It used to creep me out but I found comfort in knowing maybe my Saturn in the 7th is why.IP: Logged |

Sun/Saturn Moon/Saturn Merc/Saturn Venus/Saturn^ I have those aspects and I find older men attractive, and older women good company. Saturn in 7th/Cap DC (like previously mentioned by knowflakes!) Also lots of Cap placements. I've noticed that when young they can sometimes go for older partners, and when older they go for younger partners. It really just seems like your preference leans towards older men, which I think is great as long as they make you happy . Leo's look for quality and regal appeal maybe that's older men for you. Sagittarius is the philosopher and is always on the hunt for wisdom. That's my guess I don't know, I like men my own age. There's just something sexy about a man who's just as goofy and silly as myself and I'm in my 20s. I've met goofy older men but my preference leans towards men my age, I feel like I can be myself with them. I've dated older men, 20 years older than me but I never felt very comfortable with them or myself in that situation. I'm a serious person but I enjoy making oodles of jokes and just being silly. I'm not trying to impress anyone, and with older men it feels like I have to put on a show. I have Venus in Leo too but I HATE putting on a show, it feels dishonest. I like goofballs my age and I'm a Libra Sun, dominant Libra and Aries. BTW WELCOME! IP: Logged |

If anybody said it already then scratch this out, but Venus-Saturn, Mars-Saturn, Saturn in the 7th or 5th houses...*babbles incoherently* IP: Logged |

Me and the last guy I was involved with are exceptions to the Saturn aspects liking older partners. I strongly prefer my age or slightly younger (always have) and he likes 'em younger. I have: 4th House Cap Sun & Mars trine 12th House Virgo Saturn. He has: Taurus Moon (4th House) trine Virgo Saturn (1 degree orb separating) as well as a well-aspected Venus in Capricorn (in 12th...so maybe he doesn't realize he subconsciously wants an older woman?). Go figure! We both have strong Virgo influence, maybe that explains it. Oh, and get this...another guy I dated has Gemini Moon and Venus in Aquarius sextile Aries Mercury, but he can't stand younger girls. Always been with older ones or born during the same year. So based on my experience I'm gonna agree with whoever said that age preference is not necessarily reflected in astrology. It's probably got more to do with one's environment while growing up. The guy who likes older girls had only his mom as a prominent female presence at home. The other guy had a younger sister, so is more comfortable with a younger girl, probably.

I have Mars in Capricorn in the 12th house, and Ascendant in Capricorn. I do like older men for the maturity aspect of it, and they respect me more as a person. My personal planets include:Sun: Virgo Moon: Pisces Mercury: Libra Venus: Scorpio Mars: Capricorn (as stated) IP: Logged |

I don't think I have an affinity towards older partners in general. But the man I fell in love with is 19 yrs older lol It was completely unexpected. I didn't think I could like someone that much older.. but he doesn't even seem older. We just click. Sun - Aries (trine Saturn) Moon - Capricorn AC - Gem/Cancer (My DC might be Capricorn.. but I'm not 100%) Mercury - Pisces Venus - Taurus Mars - Capricorn IP: Logged |

Sounds like the attraction has nothing to do with the man himself but the comfort and financial security that this type of partner can provide... interesting... IP: Logged |

That reminds me ^ My friend is a Pisces with Taurus Moon - Aries Venus&Mars. She dated a man who was middle aged when she was 20. But since then she's dated guys who are around 5-10 yrs older (so not a huge age gap). quote: the comfort and financial security that this type of partner can provide
This is important to her. She assesses guys based on what they provide her. It's not that she's materialistic... but this is the way affection is expressed for earth Moons. If a guy is stingy - it is interpreted as - "He just doesn't like me enough or care enough". IP: Logged |

Insightful... I often date younger men, much younger at times, and now I am seeing that they have Mars in Capricorn and they all seem to fit better with older women This question is making me wonder what is in my chart that is making me only want to date younger men. And younger men are so attracted to me... some as much as 18 have asked me out on dates! Older men don't usually bother me... they show their attraction but are very hesitant to ask (I'm not interested in men over about 32 anyway)... but younger guys don't hold back with me... Actually.. I know a Virgo guy with Cap Mars and he seems more attracted to older women. Even though his Mars is conjunct my Moon in Cap - and also, my own Mars is in Cap... he seems 'less' attracted.. purely because I'm young (we're the same age). This is the vibe I get from him sometimes.. IP: Logged |

I agree but my Taurus friend really was interested in their whole image, but I guess their assets helped sweeten the cake. She came from money and the men she dated were creative people and so was she even though there was a 25 year age difference. I guess it's just preference. IP: Logged |

You know, when you said there's no prominent Saturn/Cap activity in her chart, then mentioned a lot of Taurus, I immediately thought 'gold-digger' lmao. But it might just be some kind of transit activity involving her Venus or Mars. I actually spent most of my life up til now, primarily interested in guys way older than I am; my first love was 23 years older than me; the second guy I was really interested in, about the same; the third, at about 16 years older than me, was the youngest. Astrologically I have no indicators for this type of thing other than Mars squaring Saturn, and Mercury sextiling Saturn, neither of which I think is really enough to cause that. I kind of wonder if it wasn't some sort of longstanding transit that was responsible for it instead, because that's pretty much over with. Now I prefer guys right around my own age; the guy I like now is a year younger than me, a few other guys I've been interested in have been right around my age or a few years younger and I briefly got involved romantically with a Scorpio only a few months younger than me... and honestly I don't think I'll ever go back to how I was then, because there's something cool about dating someone from your own generation, who grew up in a similar era, exposed to the same pop culture and sensibilities. Whenever I got mixed up with guys older than me on some level it never felt like a good fit, no matter how eternally-young they thought they were, it always felt like there was an imbalance and like on a very fundamental level they would never understand me and I would never understand them. I think there's a lot to be said regarding importance of the outer planets in terms of synastry. IP: Logged |

My older sister has Mars in Capricorn and Venus in Virgo and Capricorn on the 5th. She has only dated one man older who was 4 years older than her. She prefers and is attracted too men around her age. That's my two cents on Mars in Capricorn, I really do think attraction is based on preference.
