It is. And it probably is 'cause I'm making it that way and not controlling my feelings. I just don't know why else he's messaging her and not texting me, so I automatically process it as "Okay cut this one loose, he likes her." which ****** me off 'cause I'd like a guy to pick me over her for once. The first thing that pops out to me, is that her natal H12 stellium of Scorp Sun/Merc/Pluto is falling into your 5th house of fun/games/romance. While you see it as a quick laugh the gal sees it as something to keep hidden and only shared on an as-needed basis.
Just a thought.
Her 12th in your 5th could also be why you don't trust her re: h5 matters (this one sounds romance-related, since it's about a potential partner's affections). You say she has a big pull over men, and it's largely in part to the Scorpio energy, and Venus on Asc. If her Sun/Pluto is focused in the 12th in that sign she may look like a good person for a fling, h12 ruling secret affairs, the Sun related to men who are attracted/types of relationships a woman tends to enter into.

'Cause everyone and every relationship I've ever heard about the guy pursued the girl relentlessly 'til she gave in. So to me if I try to do that, it makes me feel desperate, and it makes me feel like "the man." And I don't want to be sloppy seconds if he's actually interested in her.

I could see that. Plus that kind of behavior would be comfortable for her Capricorn moon, you know? That's conflicting for me though as a triple Aries AND to have it magnified with my Gemini placements I'm very detailed and thorough about what I share. It drives my Aries mom who has Mercury in Pisces nuts. She only wants the beginning and the end of my stories, no middle.
