Additionally the ASC is the opposite of the DSC. It represents our relationship with our self, how we see our self, and how we think others see us. It's what we would notice if we met us, or what we would like people to notice. The Sun represents one's individuality, and the dynamics which fuel what we do and why we do it, but the ASC is our imagined self. The insubstantial or "mask" part comes from the fact that our self image is (just like the way we view others in our DSC) an image. That doesn't make it any less important than anything else. In fact, like the 1st House's association with Mars, the ASC is the champion which fights to represent your whole. He or she faces the world alone every day, with bravery. The ASC is just as much what we expect of our self as the DSC represents what we expect of others. As time goes on, we must face more than what we see our self or others to be, we must face the person's individuality, thoughts, values, emotions, desires, etc... IP: Logged |

I've also found my asc becoming more prominent as I grow older. When I was a kid, I was pretty introverted and showed that side of virgo, as well as my libra side (bc I was very creative (in every sense), but now, I'm alot more assertive, and just different? IP: Logged | |
