Actually I don't find much truth in my rising being in Cancer, because I have no Leo in my chart & just today I talked to a group of women about "star signs", they all tried to guess my sign, which they unanimously decided had to be either Leo or Sagittarius, they were totally shocked to find out I was a Capricorn. Anyways, ascendant rules how you come across to the outside world & public persona & if I come across as a Leo even though I have a Cancer rising then the chart is off & it won't matter much anyway since they would still perceive me as a Leo, regardless.

P.S. How do you put pics up? Maybe my appearance could clear things up?

If you were a Leo Rising, your Sun in Capricorn would be pretty evident since the Sun would be your chart ruler. Just like I said, as a Cancer Rising, Moon in Gemini in the 10th would be evident since the Moon is your chart ruler.

Don't put your picture up, it's hard to guess since planets augment the expression of your ASC/looks. As a Leo ASC you would have Saturn opposite your ASC, which would make you shy away from the spot light (another clue that I don't think you're a Leo Rising).

Saturn is the most dominant planet in my chart regardless of which ascendant I fall into, I checked that too. I feel Saurn's duty binding influences but none of Saturn's restrictive energies. It is in Aqua which does indeed put it opposite my Asc but there is no aspect. Also I just noticed the only aspects to my Asc are a moon sextile, Venus(Pisces) quincunx & a pluto(Scorpio) trine.

Also my Capricorn is very dominant but I have a Neptune & Uranus in strong conjuction with my sun & each other(Stellium). So either way I'm a pretty wacky Cappy, & Caps are usually described as... well the opposite of eccentric. Some people describe me as wildly erratic or "that hippy dude", on first impression, which makes sense if my rising was indeed in sun ruled Leo.

Apparently, I have Aries on my Asc(which I find challenging to relate to).

Am more "mellowed out" than Aries asc descriptions say.But that could also be because, according to astro.com,my Mars in Libra opposes my Asc exactly.

That is why I suggested the whole Mars-sun opposition could be why you feel so insecure at times.

If my asc is correct, the asc-mars opposition in my chart could have a similar effect. I am painfully shy. So shy, in fact, that I have to talk myself out of it(even do some public speaking to keep it all in check).

That is why I believed I was Taurus Asc from the get go; turns out I could have been born up to an hour earlier than I thought. :-( :-(

My dominant signs are Scorpio, Sag and Libra respectively.But I relate a lot more with Sag-I am a geek in every sense of the word and Sag's ,to me, always have that goofy,dorky, clowny thing going on.

Honestly, if you come across as mellow then there isn't much chance of you being an Aries ascendant. I have a strongly dominant Aries sister, & two strongly dominant Taurus parents who define the word mellow & chilled out. If you are a Sagg plus an Aries ascendant you'd be anything but that.

Hahah I totally agree, they're so much fun, the three closest people to me all have strongly aspected Sag moons, & boy are these kids some fun. Goofy, brainy, adventurous, & reflective all rolled into one.

Mind you I too was pretty shy at one stage, don't bet on the shyness hanging around for long. I don't belive shy is a trait, only a phase. Some people are introverted(sefl directed, loners) others are extroverted(need extrenal stimulation, more social) but shyness has nothing to do with either & is just a bad habit. ;D

Astro is appallingly, incredibly accurate. If your birth time is right and you entered it right, then you're a Cancer ascendant, not a Leo one.

And Amowls explained perfectly why you are more outgoing - again the chart ruler is a very important planet in a chart. Yours is in the tenth, again a very public house, and people with planets tenanted there do tend to be very public in terms of wanting to be 'seen'. Again, it's also the house of career and the spotlight. And being that it's your MOON that's in that house - that means emotionally that's what you desire, want and need.

It doesn't matter what a website thinks anyway because people still percieve me as a Leo in my walking life. I got Leo's grace & splendour, I'm a natural performer & I've got a natural flair for extarvegance & glamour.If that wasn't enough evidence I've got Uranus & Neptune strongly conjunct my Capricorn sun accounting for all the "dude you're such a hippy"(Neptune) & "you're just too wild & eccentric for life"(Uranus) type compliments. Cancer just doesn't weigh up, the whole 10th house rulership thing just seems to much of a stretch to prove astology's accuracy.

If I wanted the recognition & career that 10th house would bestow on me I'd chase stardom with my guitar, amazing voice & natural knack for the spotlight. However I'd rather just have the simple life of a traveler & meet all the wonderful everyday people around the world, see all the exotic wonders of this planet & enjoy all the kicks inbetween. The Gemini moon thing adds a little more weight to the opposing arguement, but in the end it is still my persona & public self we're talking about here which is far from a Cancer/Gemini mixup. xD

I'm only 16 minutes off being a Leo ascendant, I'll just assume that the doctor lost 16 minutes somewhere in delivery time. I mean I was born in Africa afterall haha.
