This is an enlightening thread. I'm not sure about particulars related to issues with the law but I've always had problems with authority. Sun square Saturn and Uranus, and Aquarius Rising. I don't tend to attract trouble per say however people do tend to get aggressive with me and it sometimes feels like their out to get me (Mars in the 1st). I've had numerous instances with authority, it never ends. But only one or so related to the law. Once I was pulled over by a cop after going under a green light turning yellow. Scouts honor it was NOT red. The police officer yards in front of me in another lane to boot had already driven through the traffic light (meaning he wasn't behind me and therefore couldn't even see the actual light change). When I pulled up next to him at the next light, he looked at me and I looked ahead and when the light changed for me to go he turned on his police car siren and had me pull over. It was nuts. The first time I'd ever been any where near a police officer in my life and I was 17. He claimed I went through a red light yet he had no proof because he was driving in another lane cars in front of me. He asked me if the car was stolen or if I owned it. After proving it was mine, through providing my license and registration (it was a gift from my parents) he got nice with me and gave me a reduced amount ticket. I was infuriated, I'm multicultural and I don't know if it's the Uranian energy I send out to the world or just plan prejudices however there was no plausible reason in my mind for being randomly pulled over. It was the beginning of my strong dislike for the corruption of the system. I hate authority, restrictive systems and hierarchical social constructs. I'd love nothing more then to see all these rigid laws crumble. Rant over. Libra Sun, Aquarius Rising IP: Logged |

It does make sense. However, I don't know too many '88ers and am now wondering if half of y'all have this dynamic with authority, or whether your Sun-Saturn opposition plays into it as well. I arrived at the Sun-Saturn opp conclusion based on what I've seen happen during this transit and on someone who has this aspect natally: he definitely has issues with authority and authority hasn't responded well to him, especially when he was young. Fortunately, Saturn relaxes with time and conscious effort.IP: Logged |

I'm sure it's a combination of both. Even when I was little, I was always up to mischief. My mom would lock rooms, and I would find ways to unlock them. Fiddle with the locks... find the keys. My father's favorite story of me as a little girl was when I unscrewed my entire playpen. He came home one day to find all four walls dismantled and me crawling around the house.Even now, I love to break rules that I think are silly, like making an illegal U-turn or jay-walking. I've always had this urge to test authority's limits. IP: Logged |

Interesting..... His 1st house ruler is saturn which squares jupiter natally and his saturn conjuncts venus in his natal which is the ruler of his 9th house. Transit Saturn is transiting his 9th house in Libra right now. He is on probation right now but hasn't done the requirements yet and I believe he should have by now so he is procrastinating with this. Do you think he will get it together and do what he has to get the requirements met even though this is clearly a scam to create revenue and he really shouldn't' be on probation?? I wan him to face what he has to so can move on with his life. This is kind of causing him a lot of stress and putting things on hold for him. Will he face it and overcome this legal stuff? What do you think? Let me know if you need me to post his natal/transit chart. Thanks! IP: Logged |

I have been pulled over a bunch in my life and gotten a bunch of tickets. I dont drive bad but I speed sometimes because I am in a good mood and enjoying the sense of freedom while driving responsibly and maintaining a safe distance from cars around me ect...but I get pulled over and get speeding tickets. I think anyone can get pulled over these days, it has become a form to generate revenue for the state more than a safety thing! Hence more and more people are getting pulled over. By trouble with the law I mean more like arrests, probation, and jail time even if for something stupid and very briefly. I am looking for astrological indicators that makes some people get caught over and over again for stupid things and then end up paying more than its fair bc the court system is super strict. The USA is the country with the most people in jail in the world! IP: Logged |

i have mars and aries as dominants. never really done anything illegal enough to warrant jail time.. i think. if i did i am hoping my sun and venus trine jupiter will bail me out. IP: Logged |

I hear what your saying Amelia, however I think anything in relation to the law is relative to the law itself. We can't compartmentalize everything based on our subjective understanding or preferences. According to restrictive laws imposed by the state and federal government, simple actions such as jaywalking, tickets from unlawful driving, indecent exposure, minor actions classifiable to misdemeanors in a court are considered just as unlawful as felonies. Therefore breaking a law any law is considered unlawful, even getting tickets or being fined for littering. The problem I see in relation to the assessment of whom is prone to conflict with the law is relative to our understanding of human nature. We limit who we are and our instincts in response to the restrictive laws that have been imposed in our societies. Therefore it would seem as though individuals who are more in touch with their human instincts or willing to express those instincts are more likely to continuously come into conflict with the law itself, because the laws in fact are meant to suppress our human instinctual nature. Even those given power to uphold the law, continuously break it, it's in our nature. In order to fully understand why the United States as a nation has a heightened capacity for inmates in prison, we'd have to interpret our laws in relation to human nature and/or societal norms, history in relation to crime and law and the ideologies and symbols of the American culture. I don't think natal aspects alone can simply point out why some are more prone to incarceration nor the problem of overcapacity with prisons in the United States. A qualitative study would need to be done that takes into consideration, the history of crime and law in this nation, human behavior in the United States and our cultural ideas and shared ideologies. I hear what you are saying but there are definitely astrological indicators of people that get caught versus people who don't get caught as Lonaka pointed out jupiter square saturn means poor judgement and most criminals that she has researched that are in jail have this aspect. Lets face it poor judgement is a huge reason why people get caught and end up jail. There are a loooooot of people who break the law and do not get caught and that is bc they are super cautious and exercise good judgement on how they go about their business. This thread is dedicated more to people who end up in probation or arrested..attract getting caught. Not for people who get tickets while driving bc that is a lot of people these days with cops giving out tickets to create revenue for their respective states. If you got a DUI which resulted in you getting arrested or probation, that would be material for this thread. But a ticket which lead to a mere fine and that is it, not material for this thread.

If its any consolation, when my wife was in college, she was caught doing 110 mph in a 45 mph zone. I guess being a pretty young girl helps because I couldn't believe my ears when she told me she got off with a $65 fine and defensive driving school. BTW, that was in a Mustang 5.0 V8. Now, even that's tame compared to her 6.3 liter AMG. For me, I'm perpetually charged with the crime of Driving While Asian!IP: Logged |

The jupiter square/oppose saturn thing really rings true, they definately have bad judgement and tend to "clash" with the law. Even a girl I know has the opp with her moon in a t square and she is always going to jail, her judgement is terrible. One time she picked a fight with someone and hit him and then she called the police on him. Well there were multiple witnesses so the police took her to jail, so stupid, she basically called the police on herself.IP: Logged |

A grand trine tends to be lucky in general and attract blessings and breaks in life, im not sure if the planets/signs its in make this more or less so. But I do know that mine has been extremely lucky. I lived a very wild life for over 10 years and when everyone was caught/punished I always walked away unscathed. My grand trine is in earth and its connected to my asc(environment) im wondering if this is why.IP: Logged |

ElizabethO, for that chart you posted, you had transiting Saturn in 12th approaching ascendant... I've had that same transit for the past few years and I spent them in fear of going to jail because people seem to have taken a habit of accusing me of strangest things, things I never even thought about or noticed. Things others got away with, I was just constantly cornered for. It wasn't anything illegal either, just that people seemed to misunderstand my actions or blow things out of proportion. I heard it's difficult to get away with anything when Saturn approaches Asc, and 12H is disturbing for all the fears and "ties with institutions" it brings. =\ Legal trouble seems expected...IP: Logged |

Interesting theory Fuzzy about the transiting saturn through the first house. This makes me think of people in Jail who are innocent and its a case of set up and been at a specific place at the wrong time. I imagine that this cases is a result of natal aspects such as jupiter/saturn stressful aspects combined with transits such as saturn transiting the first or jupiter/saturn transit (kind of like a double whammy). You are lucky .
Husband has a grand trine between his ascendent, pluto and mercury! He drove with suspended license for 5 years bc he didn't pay for a ticket and didn't get caught once. He got a ticket the other day which the cop followed him for 5 minutes waiting for him to do something wrong and pulled him over for not signalling right to get in a right lane that leads up a hill. He ended up giving him a ticket for driving without insurance for which the day after I enrolled him to mine and come court date provided proof to DA that insurance was acquired quickly after incident and his ticket was dismissed and he didn't have to pay a fine. He usually doesn't get caught for things and when he does it typically gets resolved very quickly to his favor. Hi has: Jupiter semisextile venus Jupiter sextile Mars Jupiter conjunct Saturn Jupiter sextile Uranus Jupiter square neptune Thanks for sharing....I think there is definitely something to you grand trine theory involving rising sign!
