My x husband hated his mother because she had abused him as a child. He had a moon in cancer closely square pluto. I know cancer suns can sometimes have problems with mom also. The abuse came from the square to pluto tho and man was she scary, for real.IP: Logged |

Pisces Moon! - Every guy I know with it has mother issues. Also -- Moon in hard aspect to Mars (oppositions, conjunctions & squares... but mainly squares) :edit: Actually Venus might be important as well.. When a man has a problematic Venus he seems to have issues with women that might stem from mother-issues: Venus detriment or in fall (Aries/Scorpio/Virgo) Venus Retrograde Venus square Mars Venus very badly aspected overall IP: Logged |

I know many Cancer Sun and/or Moon women who have mother issues, but I don't know any Cancer Moon men with this problem - or maybe they don't talk about it?Cancer Sun men.... do often bad mouth their mothers behind their back, but they still seem to have an OK relationship overall. IP: Logged |

I'm a Cancer sun male and have mother issues. My Venus is also part of a t-square; opposite Saturn and square Jupiter. Moon is fairly well-aspected, though. Moon sextile Mars, no aspect to Pluto.IP: Logged |

I wouldn't say that about Venus sq. Saturn on its own. What else is going on with his Venus? What sign/house - other aspects? IP: Logged |

I mean Venus sq. Saturn is not an easy aspect.. so he can be cold when it comes to showing affection and he can be critical of women who are too emotionally expressive. He wants his GF to be Saturnian (self-contained).But it's nowhere near as bad as Venus square Mars - These guys can outright hate women (misogyny galore). IP: Logged |

hmmm Sag isn't extra positive or extra negative. It can be a very honest Venus... so you should know where you stand with him. Whether he likes you or dislikes you - he will probably make it clear. Does he have any easy aspects with Venus -- or is the square to Saturn his only aspect? IP: Logged |

I just remembered - there was something else I read about Venus sq. Saturn which could be accurate... They sometimes put their career before a love life.. and they will sacrifice a lot for their career. This can be upsetting for them later in life when they might feel lonely, with nothing but their achievements to keep them warm in bed at night. Saturn can be representative of both parents & possibly also the grandparents (not just the mother).. So it could be that his family instilled in him the idea that he has to make a choice between his love-life and his career.. and his career should always come first. He somehow got the idea that he can't have *both*. When he indulges in one... he loses the other... unless he learns to balance the square. IP: Logged |

Ok ex scorpio has moon in pisces, 0 mother issues. The strongest planet in his chart is venus so maybe that is why. He loves his mom a lot and gets along with her fine. His mom is a cancer. As for venus square mars my husband has this and yesssssssss he does have mommy issues but he doesnt hate women but actually has been the type of guy to get along well with women throughout his life. He said he feels more comfortable with women and he does...it shows in his interactions, he feels more comfortable with women and he is not a player at all. He could just be friends with a girl and is upfront and honest. He also gets along very well with guys. He doesn't handle well anger when he is frustrated but I am already seeing a huge improvement in this area in the last month. IP: Logged |

I think squares or oppositions involving the moon can mean mommy issues. I have moon square neptune and moon opposition sun and mercury. I always felt my mom and I are completely opposites and that she had poor boundaries and didnt respect my individuality and wanted me to be just like her. Our relationship dynamics are better now. Aspects to the moon I feel definitely can describe relationship with mother. IP: Logged |

Also ex has moon square mars and My husband has moon sesquisquare mars. They both have mothers who divorced their dads and this impacted negatively their relationship with dad resulting in father figure been absent most of their life and probably there is a resentment towards the mother for divorcing dad as a result. My conclusion is that moon square or sesquisquare to mars has to do with mommy and daddy issues, not just mommy issues since mars is a masculine planet. Both guys have abandonment issues that is tied to their dad. Hubby also has moon square saturn and his dad died a few years after his mother divorced him. In the case of ex dad is still alive but in another country far away. IP: Logged |

Self is 1st house. Mother is 10th house. Both in whole sign house system. I guess a negative aspect between the two should do it. Opposition, quincunx, trine etc.IP: Logged |

You really need the TOB, as the placement of the Moon can make a huge difference. I've noticed time and again that Moon in the 4th (or conj the 4th house cusp) is an indicator of issues with mother. IP: Logged |

Moon conjunct IC: I have moon in pisces conjunct the 4th house and home is SACRED to me. Is were I escape, recharge and work on myself and reflect. I am very attached to my childhood and is a place of comfort and good feelings for me. I have a lot of good memories from my childhood even though there were some struggles usually connected with school one way or another. My mom issues had to do with us been complete opposites and she having poor boundaries with me and wanting me to be just like her which is better explained with my natal moon square neptune and moon opposition sun. My ex has moon square neptune and is 31 years old and idolizes his mother and still lives with her. She doesn't control him and they get along well. His sun in scorpio and his moon square mars does not like to be controlled by women but his venus in libra tries to be fair and just so he treats women in his life with respect and love but doesnt let them control him either. If it wasnt for my mars in leo and saturn in scorpio my mom would have probably over powered me and I would have caved and the poor boundaries would have resulted in me been just like her but my ascendent conjunct uranus, mars in leo and saturn in scorpio were like hell no! I am me and you are you and you are not going to win this. I will come out of this strong, finding my own voice and following my path/heart/intuition not what you want for me out of life. I adore my mom and she adores me but I was always aware that our dynamics were a bit unhealthy and resisted it and fought for my self and won. This forced her to have a transformation of her own. Moon conjunct IC I read means that you had everything you needed growing up which I did: my parents adore me and always have, always had healthy food to eat, a comfortable home to live in were I felt safe, clothe, and good education and nice friends in my neighborhood and nice extended family. yes my mom and I have had our share of struggles with each other but I never doubted she loved me and never gave up on our relationship and she means well. I always spoke my mind with her and tried to make her grow and she spoke her mind with me just as much. Her parenting style did affect me negatively but her influence has also been very positive as well and I have overcome the negative that she caused with time slowly and turned it into to positive. I know a man who loves his mother so much and puts her on a pedestal but his girlfriends, eh, who cares. He also wants women who have a similar body type to his mother (curvy, big boobs, hips, thighs) and a similar career (his mom is a teacher and he likes women who are teachers, nurses, the caring "female" professions - he doesn't like hard edged career women at all)...Moon in Scorpio trine Mars in Cancer (his mom is a Scorpio, I don't know her dob though) Moon trine Jupiter in Pisces Moon trine Saturn in Cancer Moon conjunct Uranus in Scorpio Moon-Jupiter-Mars grand trine As for Venus... Venus in Aries Venus inconjunct Moon Venus square Mars Venus square Saturn Venus opp Pluto Venus-Saturn-Pluto t-square Yeah, no woman compares to his mother! IP: Logged |

^ How does his Moon conj Uranus manifest, then, cos all his other Moon affinities are pretty traditional? Does he have outbursts? Need a lot of time alone?IP: Logged |

He does need a lot of time alone/away to, in his words,"recharge his batteries"... ETA: Oh yeah, and he is quite odd and has some strange habits, quirky mannerisms. When we first got to know each other he said "I'm just glad that you don't think I am too weird"... IP: Logged |

Venus IS NOT Mother issues. That is the Moon and it is the Moon no matter if it is in a Mans chart or a womans chart. Astrology doesn't discriminate. IP: Logged |
