Knowflakes, let's do a survey! When you have a free moment...1.) Take this test and report your result, preferably in the form of a screenshot. http://www.gosugamers.net/warcraft/thread/410286/start/0 (Got that IQ test from here: http://www.techspot.com/vb/topic129261.html Per the results reported in the above thread, it appears that this is a culturally unbiased IQ test that doesn't give everyone on the Interwebz an IQ of 130+.) 2. Report your Mercury Sign/House Placement/Aspects IP: Logged |

Kinda rushed through it, but I think I did okay. I got a 32 on my ACT in high school, which is equivalent to 2130 on the SAT. Gemini Mercury/9th House/Conj. Gemini Venus IP: Logged |

Standardized testing is gamed and rigged. In my day, I scored perfect on my SATs (it was out of 1,600 points at that time). It proved nothing, and has nothing to do with intelligence. Neither are school grades or GPA, etc. I scored perfect on those too.IP: Logged |

I hear ya. My friend in high school is way smarter than I am when it comes to math and physics, but I scored higher than he did on the test. He also only scored a 25 on the ACT. Very bizarre. IP: Logged |

IQ-118 according to this test. Not too bad. I'll be honest though I did not enjoy this test at all. Reminds me of sudokos (which I HATE). I don't get enjoyment out of logic pattern puzzles very much. I'm alright at them, but I don't like them very much. This goes against my thinking style anyway. I think in a very non-linear manner, and most iq tests are quite linear. Also I am TERRIBLE at things that require me to figure out rule systems (like this). Different iq tests that I have taken vary in scoring, but it's consistently above average. Some sections I go off the chart, others I am below average. In the end things even out. As far as aspects: Mercury - Gemini - 8th house Mercury conjunct sun (out of sign) Mercury conjunct venus Mercury quincunx uranus Those are the major ones And with ALL of this being said. I don't put much stock into IQ tests for intelligence.
Oh, and since we're on the subject of standardized tests, here's something interesting. I got a 1290/2400 on my SAT, and a 22/36 on my ACT. Yet, I have a BS in Chemistry, and I am now currently in a PhD program studying organic chemistry, and I'm 22 years old. Clearly there is something wrong with standarized tests . ------------------ It's All Elemental IP: Logged |

My college classmate was one of the founders of the Princeton Review. To demonstrate what a joke standardized testing was, he took the LSAT, GMAT, GRE and MCAT (yes, medical school exam) as a college sophmore, and he scored perfect in all of them. The irony is that he never went to graduate school. He sold his ownership interest in the company for over $30 million. School in general, including MD and PhD programs, prove nothing. My college girlfriend does heart bypasses and heart transplants for a living. She does stuff that soldiers would quake in their boots. IP: Logged |

Tautomer4314, *high five*! We're IQ twins. This test was really visual....nice, ElizabethO....because from your posts you strike me as more of a verbal person, which is what Gemini rules. Uploaded with ImageShack.us Mercury in Sag/3rd House/sextile Moon, conjunct Neptune, sextile Pluto All the orbs are less than 1 degree. I thought I had a Mercury-Saturn square with a 6-degree orb, but it's actually separating so it probably doesn't count. IP: Logged |

...In the form of a screenshot? What, a list of demands? lmao I'm not taking the test, I've taken them before. That said, I'm pretty sure my IQ is around 140. Mercury in Leo 7th house, conjunct sun, pallas, sextile Jupiter-Saturn, quntile Pluto and contraparallel Uranus, opposing Ascendant. IP: Logged |

I didn't like this test much, either. After #32 or so, I started to just guess because I couldn't find any patterns. I'm much better at reading and writing. I actually did really well in algebra and statistics when I was in high school because I'm good at formulas. I didn't do so well in Geometry. I suppose a Virgo Mercury would do best with a visual test, considering Virgo Mercury would notice details and visual patterns more adeptly. IP: Logged |

No, I was referring to the tests that are "easier" and take into account language skills for example. IP: Logged |

Maybe someone will feel compelled to create a thread for a more linguistics-based test. Not I though. I've had enough of this board. Adios, amigo.

I scored 110. Mercury in the Libra (8th) Mercury opposite Moon (Aries) Mercury trine Ascendant (Aquarius Mercury sextile Uranus (Saggitarius) Mercury sextile Saturn (Saggitarius) I like to mentally weigh complex equations, ponder universal unknowns, and visually synthesize images, not methodically organize patterns based on conventional logic. I should have gotten a zero because my thinking bends no where near conventional rationality. Logic tests are based on our subjective understanding of what we'd classify to be intelligence. I'll take a free thinker over a logical thinker any day of the week.
Sidenote: thanks for sharing this exam, I'm always interested in the various methodologies used to measure intelligence. IP: Logged |

Ah, but you have stated that you've taken an IQ test before. Just sayin' - no proof, didn't happen! Jk... You should intelligent enough, so I'm sure you scored high. :P IP: Logged |
