Even though I have an air sign venus, I wouldn't want sb else with an air sign venus unless it's libra too. Aquarius is too detached and cold, gem is much too flighty.
I need a fire venus or an earth. Don't really want a water. They're kind of prone to manipulation.

love venus in libra too. it's probably my fave in others. i think it is a better venus than mine coz mine can get materialistic and selfish at times.

good link myvirgomask!

this seems spot on for me.

Venus in Earth and the Moon in Fire is a very extreme situation. Fire needs drama and excitement while the Earth is just the opposite. External calm and practicality can be expected of the Venus in Earth person. But what does s/he do with that inner need for risk, for excitement? Earth is bound up in social rules which the Moon in Fire barely understands. The law of Fire is a divine law, above that of earthly constraints. This combination can produce relationships which work practically on the outside while allowing emotional autonomy on the inside. This is excellent for productivity, but not the easiest for intimacy. There is not much space for dialogue here, nor for abstraction. There is matter, and there is activity. Expectations of proper social behavior may have masked deeper emotional needs for freedom of expression. We may feel that we were given mixed messages about relationships because of this contradiction. Choosing the right circumstances to express one's more "wild" side might be appropriate here.

also i think my mars in scorpio embarasses the hell out of my venus in taurus.

quote:
For those with Venus and the Moon in conflict, whether astrologically by aspect or simply by knowing that your tastes do not match your needs, the source might be seen in the family. Were social behaviors at odds with deeper feelings?

quote:
Oppositions between planets are also frequently indicative of projection; we tend to identify with one of the planets in the opposition and project the other. Normally, we will project the planet that is most difficult to integrate in ourselves. We tend to project outer planets in opposition to inner ones. Males tend to project "female" planets and vice versa. We will project planets that do not fit into the value systems of our families or cultures--those that do not easily integrate with our Sun, Moon or Ascendant.

One of the common examples is that of Venus in Aquarius opposite Pluto in Leo. The individual will tend to identify with Venus, the personal planet. Venus in Aquarius may see itself as friendly, open, idealistic, non-possessive and without guile. Often, however, very Pluto-type partners are attracted. That is to say, strong-willed, jealous, manipulative or dishonest individuals often come into the life. The person can feel that s/he is an innocent victim of this unpleasant Pluto character.Obviously, if the pattern continues, it should remind the person that Pluto is an important part of her/his relationship picture. S/he is not the victim, but rather a participant in a story of the balance between coolness and intensity, freedom and possessiveness. When the individual withdraws the projection and can see her/his Pluto needs (i.e., power, intensity, struggle), it is less likely that these qualities will have to be brought in unpleasantly by others. Pluto with Venus implies relationships which go to the depths and transform old patterns about love, beauty and self-worth. The pain comes from attachment and is alleviated when one can consciously and willingly participate in change.

The 7th and 8th Houses and oppositions are all indicators of who we can be in relationships. Playing the parts of our signs and planets enables us to choose our place and to participate from a position of power, not from that of the victim. Saturn in your natal 7th House does not mean that you must be disappointed in relation ships. It means that you need to develop integrity, authority and clarity to build relationships that will serve you. Every dilemma in the horoscope includes its own resolution. The very planets that appear to present problems also point the way to fulfill your needs and succeed in your life. The challenge is to be open enough to find ways to bring in the creativity to do this.

Oooh , Sand, I have the same thing but in opposite wish Mars in Taurus and Venus Scorp, and opposition is compounded with a Tsqaure. Complicated indeed

And yeah the moon in fire can be hard for intimacy. Fire moons are external in giving too, we're good at at it, but accepting it feels more like a Earth or Water strength to me. I can give well...but my acceptance of it sucks. And it totally goes againsy my water/earth Mars and Venus which is set up for it.

blecch lol

No one's perfect :/

hey we'd have mars-venus opposition-y thingy!

mars in scorpio/ venus in taurus for me.

our moons might conjunct tho.

which sign do you identify with in the opposition?

i think i identify with venus in taurus more than pluto in scorpio. i don't think i project pluto tho. i don't attract scorpionic partners at all.

I think this post would have been more interesting if people had stuck to the subject at hand; rather than argiung whether or not "Venus" is an indication of how you show love:

It would have been nice to see how two Venus in Pisces express their affection in differing ways(albeit they both being in the same sign). And this would hjave been interesting to dissect; to discern whether the house placements play a role or whether the planets aspecting Venus filter the nature etc.

I think it may be hard for most people to strongly identify with their Venus sign(unless it aspects the sun, moon or mercury very closely).

Even then, one has a feint grasp of how their Venus sign interacts when with others because, according to me, Venus represents your "shadow side"; how you attract what you attract in life is not always clear and definitive and Venus plays a role in this(in a big way).

Why some people are "drawn" to us and not others is not always clear. Venus then represents what we just can't help but be[without conscious action] and thus the vibrations we omitt once in a certain atmospehere(that is not consciously within our control).

I have my Venus in Scorpio and am more interested in intellectual connections.

mintgirl123

The way to my heart is intellectual connection, so in a way I guess that's how I love. I'm a venus in libra and I love witty banter, conversation. I listen, I am very compromising, understanding. I do alot of little things, and big things and I show my feelings through actions and words. I can be a total romantic (but not in a trite way) I am great at knowing what my boyfriend wants without him saying much. Comes intuitively.

I guess I can be pretty charming when I need to be. I am really into an honest understated type of person. I don't like grandiose exclamations of love. I don't do it either. I say things I mean and you'll just see it through my actions. I keep my promises.I like intensity without the drama, the ups and downs. I like a harmonious relationship so I'm not one to really rock the boat

This totally resonates with me and I couldn't have put it better even if I tried.
I am really impressed by someone who knows how to express themselves and find intellectual stimulation far more attracting in intimate relationships then emotional drama. Perhaps Scorpio is an intellectual sign too and not all emotions??

That is why I am emphasizing how really interesting this post would have been if people just stated their Venus signs and what they like/show their feelings. I have Venus in Scorpio in 7th(in Sidereal chart I am Venus in Libra).

In high school, I was the one looking at the teachers rather than my peers.
I act witty when I want to attract someone. My style is to have a way with words. Talk my way into someone's heart.. and brain.

I like this too !

Sand, I definitely relate more to my Venus but my Mars is also right on my asc too so it makes it hard.

It isn't argument , just an observation and an opinion.
