How do you gel with people who have Cancer Mars? If you have any close friends/family or SOs(exes) with this placement.. Could you tell me more about it? You can post all your experiences good&bad.. I'm just trying to learn more about this placement... their likes/their dislikes... basically anything and everything you can think of! Thanks IP: Logged |

My bf has Cancer Mars. Note: he has Cancer Sun, so I'm not sure how helpful all this will be.Sexually, he tries to act macho but secretly he seeks comfort and familiarity. OMG, and when he's drunk he likes to wake me up at 3am and ask if I want to make a baby. He's being serious, too. It's what he thinks of when he's turned on and drunk. I guess I'm the only one who thinks it's sort of cute, lol. He's very defensive when I start to question him. You've gotta approach him indirectly. When we're debating about anything, I say I feel much more than I think. He understands the movement of emotions better than the movement of thought. Sometimes he's a bit manipulative and uses my emotions against me, knowing that I'll react a certain way if I'm feeling annoyed vs defeated. When we're in a fight, he likes to corner me, and he won't give up until I talk to him. It's a very tenacious placement. He's very protective, but never jealous. He'll do little things to make sure all the guys know I'm his territory. For example, he's very affectionate in public. Gives me hugs and kisses and puts his arm around my waist for everyone to see. Dated a Pisces sun, Aries asc, Moon and Venus, with a Cancer Mars...All I can say is that Cancer dulled his Mars...took away his balls...Aries often over rode the lack of ahmmm, something, but it was a faked, forced over ride. He went through life forcing himself to be happy via his Aries asc, but was miserable, stuck in his failed past. Definately not a good placement for this man! IP: Logged |

Mars in Cancer in males...my experience is they're Boring, Whiny, Passive-aggressive, cheap, unable to discuss a issue that arises, they rather hide than face the issue, which in turn makes the issue bigger than it really was, says they didnt say things they said, not reliable, basically what im trying to say is they tend to be liars who have difficulty with facing reality. Birdy I am a Cancer Mars. Mars only deals with your drive. The moon would be more of a character issue. I have a Cancer Moon, too. Back to Cancer Mars. It has a very hard time with anything direct. I suppose people could get "lying" from that, but you can't go there just based on the Mars, imo. Cancer Mars will make it hard for you to express anger, feelings, needs or wants directly. You are afraid of rejection or that you don't deserve what you are asking for. It is an insecure Mars, as the sign of Cancer does not do well with assertion. That is why it is in it's fall. The Cancer energy is a wonderful nurturer, but a bad fighter for itself. It will fight for it's loved ones as a valiant warrior though ------------------ Passion,Lust, Desire. Roger Federer, quite possibly the greatest tennis player of all time, has a Cancer Mars. I don't think he "doesn't have balls," is a bad fighter "for himself" (what is a tennis match all about? you have to fight for every point), or avoids issues/confrontation like a lot of you are saying. You have to look at aspects and house placements, the overall chart, to really make a good guess about how this guy's Mars acts/effects him. IP: Logged |

One of my siblings has Cancer Mars. She's really moody and sort of mean. She has a major problem with letting go of the past. She holds on to mistakes she's made then projects them onto everyone around her. She'll be angry at you for something you did in your life that had nothing to do with her because she had experienced something similar and hadn't come to terms with it. She also has a Leo sun and a lot of pride an never wants to admit she's wrong even to herself. It's kind of sad. Growing up we both went through a great deal with my father and in life in general. I've come to terms with the nutty things I've done and experienced in my life, but she hasn't come to terms with hers. So she projects her disappointment on to specifically me, I'm the black sheep/scapegoat in my family. And she'll act passive aggressive and gets emotionally volatile around me. It's frustrating because it'll be a nice family get together, for example the week of my college graduation. Family from different parts of the country came and it was WWIII. My Aries mom even got emotional because she couldn't understand why my sister was so angry with me and why we just couldn't get along. It was my graduation and she was attacking ME. That week surprised me because I'd thought we had reached a point in our relationship where we were friends. But every other minute she was snapping at me (we're actually the two most opinionated people in my family). I actually haven't spoken to her in about 6 months. If we weren't siblings I wouldn't want to be friends with her. I've learned to just accept her and take my space. I've got Mars in Aries and I like to leave the past in the past. I also have a Libra Sun and I need harmony and peace in my relationships. It's unfortunate because she's my older sister but yeah, Mars in Cancer is a headache. I'm still trying to figure out that position of Mars so great thread Betty Boop. IP: Logged |

I have a Cancer Mars, I think it's hard to express my "NICE" emotions, so I usually just express the negative inside of me.
I'm short tempered and I hold lots of grudges on people. I don't think I can ever learn to forgive and forget. lol.

I agree with you on all counts, but just to illustrate a slight difference in Mars energy, take Serena Williams. She's got Mars in Leo and is a bit more explosive with her temper. Roger is known as a class act because he rarely lets his emotions get the better of him on the court. As far as playing ball, they're two of the greatest ever, but I think Roger's Mars in Cancer makes him more hesitant to get into arguments on the court, or at least create a huge scene. Personally, I have Mars in Cancer and I'm a huuuuuuge tennis nerd. When I play, I really get into it and try my damndest to win. I have my Mars conjunct my Sun, though, which I think adds an Aries flavor. I'd never pull a McEnroe out there (YOU CANNOT BE SERIOUS!!!)-- instead I'd just tell myself, "It's okay, that call was sh1t but I'll just play harder to win this damn thing." IP: Logged |

My younger bro has it. (Cancer Mars,Aries Venus, mine are vice versa) He also has good Pluto,Saturn action,so there is no room for Cancer Mars to develop its infamous qualities of perpetual whiney-ness.He very mature.(Virgo Moon) But,the other Cancer Mars (especially those conj my Mc/Venus) are,in my Aries Mars opinion, gutsless. I hate their ways of avoiding the problem, not facing it face ahead. However, they have long fuse and are fierce when it comes to protecting their territory and loved ones.

That's another thing, I'm really not whiney at all for a Cancer Mars. I don't see the point in complaining about things that you have control over -- DO something to change it. Waste of damn energy. IP: Logged |

I think a lot of the anti-Cancerian Mars ranting in this thread boils down to synastry - just because you and a Cancer Mars, didn't get along doesn't mean all Cancer Mars people suck. It's just something that was off in the synastry between you and that particular person that made you not click with one another. *shrug* Too bad, so sad. As long as you aren't an @$$hole to a Cancer Mars or someone that matters to us, we won't have a problem with you so if you experienced some sort of negativity with one it's probably something you did that provoked it. We don't attack unless we've been provoked.And...ElizabethO...the thing about your boyfriend waking you up when he's drunk to make babies made me laugh out loud. I think that's a classic Mars in Cancer type of thing, and the rest of your description sounds alot like me, barring the public displays of affection (I do have an Aqua ascendant, after all). Mars in Cancer is haunting me :/I know 2 guys.. one Taurus Sun, Virgo ASC & Cancer Mars 10th house; and another Libra Sun, Virgo ASC & Cancer Mars 10th house (AGAIN :O) The Taurean guy likes me a lot..and is very openly affectionate about it. We've been friends for a long time now, and just recently he's discovered his feelings for me, although I still consider him a good pal and nothing more. The Libra guy is a recent connection..very instantaneous. It's obvious he likes me, but he won't admit it. I am very attracted to him, but he refuses to speak up about his feelings. So yeah that is a bit of a hinderance. Although he seems very family oriented. He also seems to dwell upon past mistakes. Oh, one other thing I noticed..both of them respect their fathers but are very much attached to their respective mothers. Closest to their hearts & only one that seems to understand them I'm wondering why I'm attracting such SPECIFIC people :O It's scary. but yes, in my opinion, Cancer Mars people are very loving, & not shy of public displays of affection. I don't mind that ------------------ Capricorn Sun, Venus, Mars, Mercury and Ascendant Libra Moon

Mars in Cancer : and well-aspected gives a bold, independent and fearless nature with a tendency to rebel against restraint, a home-loving disposition, very industrious and ambitious to gather and protect all things which make for comfort and luxury, so that he is a good provider for the home in every respect. Some people I know on an aquaintaince level have mars in cancer and the above description rings true for them. IP: Logged |
