Thee north node can show which direction you need to head towards in this life for your life lesson. For me, using WHOLE SIGN, my nn is in my 7th house. This means I need to be heading towards being in a relationship and move away from being single. I've been single all my life, so this tells me that I comfortable being single (sn in 1st house) and very much heading in the wrong direction. To make myself feel more spiritually good, I need to move into a relationship.

After the bad few years I've had with women, I won't be doing that anytime soon. Looks like I'll be staying with my sn in the 1st.

NN in 2nd (unless you use equal). Self-esteem and what-not. It also correlates to the thread I started earlier on, about losing all interest in relationships.

NN libra here. I'm not crazy about this placement. I like the Aries SN. I dont have libra or Aries in any planets. How does the nodes manifest themselves? What do they influence?

Interesting. I didn't see this last night, sorry - otherwise I would have responded. I'm not so sad about it anymore; I'm more sad that I expended so much energy worrying over anything related to it all, but maybe that's my Aries and Gemini shining through. (You know how we Venus in Gemini are supposed to be shifty little buggers. I think people mistake the lightness of Gemini for superficiality - well, I don't think it, I know it.)

I just wanted to say - Thank you girls - for the positive feedback on what I initially said about the Nodes! I really appreciate it

I keep meaning to post more on this thread... but I'm kind of busy and I end up doing something else. I come on LL sometimes as I'm getting work done... for short breaks (I think LL is like my drug.. the way some people go out and have a cigarette - I come on here! lol)
But if I start posting about this - I'll still be typing an hour later.. because I have so much to say.
So I'd rather contribute on a day when I have more time!

my north node is in sagi in 6th house.
Do i crave virgo NO
Do i crave sagi NO
however sometimes i wish I was more jovial or funny traits of a sagi or had my socks etc more organised traits of a virgo
however with my nep also in 6th house you could say i am addicted to work and nep is in sag too so I have some virgo and sag even if it is very low percentage. Overall i feel there are traits that could be nice but no i don't crave either of these signs, i know people with these signs emphasised though.
sometimes pisces south node really isn't that bad if you are addicted to work!

Nordicsoul,

I agree that some of my loner tendencies may come from Capricorn…. But my Aries South Node takes it to a whole other level. The shopping thing was just an example. Sometimes I find dealing with people too bothersome and time consuming, and I become impatient to be free to do stuff of my own accord, how I see fit… I’d rather just do things myself then count on other people for cooperation, and then have to deal with all the negotiations and details that go along this it…. To me this feels like a very Aries-like tendency, plus I have the Sun and Venus in the 1st making me rather self-focused. However, I do realize that this ‘go-it-alone’ tendency of mine can be too extreme and that I do need the balance offered by the sign Libra…. More openness and sharing is needed in my life…

Also, I think that different people experience their South Node in different ways… one Aries South Node might be too independent, while another may be to aggressive and feisty, or to too impulsive, or even too innocent and naive… one way or another, some part of the sign Aries (but maybe not all of it) will be exaggerated in that person…

As a Capricorn Sun I’m definitely not too spontaneous, or too naïve, or too aggressive…. but the loner/independence thing is there, and it’s something I feel I need to work on.

Nordic Said…

.“beh, but i dont crave to be more social, i avoid being social because i just dont see the point on it. it does not fulfill my needs.

probably is the aries node calling?”

I would agree on this point too… not that you are meant to embrace life as a recluse outsider because of your Aries North Node…The North Node calls us toward balance, not imbalance in the opposite direction…. Us people with Aries/Libra Nodes are ultimately meant to balance independence with relationships in our lives… as well as diplomacy/aggression, spontaneity/thinking things through, naivety/social understanding, and selfishness/pushover type scenarios…

I have my north node in Leo in the 11th house, loosely conjunct my sun.

Nope, I can't feel the urge towards fulfilling my north node yet. Still love being alone instead of shinning in a crowd. Prob still struck in my south node themes - moon loosely conjunct south node in 5th house.

Interesting topic...

I have a Gemini NN in the 7th house, with Neptune conjuncting my SN in Sagittarius.

Overall, I have been realizing more and more that I have a really really hard time communicating my true deeper feelings in relationships (of all types but ESPECIALLY romantic partnerships). I have close friends that would say: "I love you," and the best I could manage to spit out was: "Uhhh... Thanks." (I've gotten better).

Also with regards to partnerships, for the longest time my policy was to be as independent as possible, and heaven forbid ANYONE knew that I had a romantic interest in someone (I always assumed that they had no interest in me whatsoever even when they did- afflicted Venus retro ) and so I was always passed by in the end. I always felt like communicating my romantic feelings was showing weakness/vulnerability (thank you 1st house SN) and so it scared the crap out of me. I've gotten better over the years, and I'm starting to realize what true communication in relationships entails, but it can still be scary as sh*t for me sometimes.

Enchantress: me, too! Except I have the gemini SN, conjunct Moon/Venus, square Mars (and other aspects). I still don't say it easily, although it's easier than it used to be.
