Lol cw, how can mercury conj sag?! jk, you probably meant mercury in sag.

I think Taurus would have a good voice, since it is ruled by Venus, goddess of beauty, and rules the throat.

Edit:
http://www.astrotheme.com/portraits/TLnwEv27WLQU.htm

That's Xtina Aguilera's chart. She has Taurus Moon but also has Mercury in Sagittarius. But I'm sure she's the voice of a generation due to years of hard work more than anything else. I have the same Mercury-Neptune conjunction in Sag that she does but can't sing whatsoever lol

Taurus, rules the throat, voice. aspected planets modify it and make it unique/interesting.
2nd house planets would also modify/color it.

Planets in the 2nd house can also indicate vocal talent even if their not in Taurus.

No it doesn't. The throat and voice is ruled by Gemini. Look to aspects from 3rd ruler (whole sign) to whatever planet. A good aspect to Neptune can make the voice more soulful, whereas conjunction to Mercury would likely make the person better at rap.

http://www.funtrivia.com/en/subtopics/Astrological-Signs-and-the-Body-326134.html

The natives of this sign are known for producing beautiful sounds from their larynx, or voice box. What horned sign is this?

Taurus. Taurus the bull is born in April and May and rule the throat and neck area. The larynx, or voice box, is an organ in the neck that adjusts pitch and volume. It also contains the vocal folds, which are important for phonation, producing the lovely singing that some Taureans are so fond of doing. Some crooners born under the sign of Taurus are Philip Bailey of the group 'Earth Wind and Fire', Joe Cocker, and the pop sensation, 'Cher'.

http://www.keen.com/documents/works/articles/astrology/body-rulership-in-astrology.asp

Taurus Rules the Throat April 20 – May 20
While the Bull himself may have horns high above his head, the sign of the Bull rules the human throat – and like the Bull's use of his horns, humans use their voices to attract mates and fend off predators with words that are syrupy sweet and harshly critical. Many people who make a living singing or in public speaking have planetary harmony with Taurus in their astrology charts. Stress from yelling may manifest for a Taurus as a sore throat. When there is tension in the heavens between some planets and Venus, the ruling planet of the Bull, look for anyone of any sign to be subject to losing their voice or saying some inappropriate comments.

People with Mercury in Taurus usually have a calm, quiet, (sometimes) melodious, sweet and somewhat quiet voice. The speech is usually slow and clear. [Megan Fox, Kanye West, Kelly Clarkson]

In general, ironically there are more singers with Mercury in Sag than singers with Mercury in Taurus even though Mercury in Taurus is supposed to give a "good singing voice".

In an old post on Rulers of the Houses in the houses, there was a line bout the Ruler of the 12th, the House related to the hidden, ethereal realm in the 3rd House of communication giving a person a "haunting singing voice".

------------------
Ask Me anything. Anything. I will contrive to bring you the answer. The whole universe will I use to do this. So be on the lookout. This book is far from My only tool. You may ask a question, then put this book down. But watch. Listen. The words to the next song you hear. The information in the next article you read. The story line of the next movie you watch. The chance utterance of the next person you meet. Or the whisper of the next river, the next ocean, the next breeze that caresses your ear—all these devices are Mine; all these avenues are open to Me. I will speak to you if you will listen. I will come to you if you will invite Me. I will show you then that I have always been there. All ways.

I think the 12th house correlation is because Venus is exalted in Pisces (12th House)

What coffee is saying is that the throat and voice are ruled by Gemini....no that would be Taurus

Moon in Taurus gives good vocal skills & and music ear. I have checked this with the people I know, and it seems to be accurate.

What i've noticed, since i've been wondering this for several years now...is that taurus is more of a celine dion type of voice...or opera tenor baritone for males...but the legends have venus conjunct mc, usually in aquarius...this gives them a stellar unique soulful voice...such as janis choplin, axle rose...dido, ricky martine, elton john...the list is endless with venus in aquarius...

that being said...I do believe also that mercury plays a role...as the line between what taurus rules and what gemini rules is blended so are the planets blending here...so a mercury in sagitarius can make someone's voice like jimi hendrix...and a conjunction with uranus and a venus in aquarius with a well aspected saturn could give someone a unique and pleasant voice too.....

I Think alot of it has to do with real life training too...someone once told me that everyone can sing...but they have to practice practice, and sing true to their own way of breathing.

Glad you doing astrology the right way by using house and not planets

You don't know for certain though, I'm guessing, as you just googled the question. That could be rubbish on there. Have you tested voice being 2nd house?
I guess if you have, then a look at some singers natal charts (which I have tested) would show Venus in good or close aspect to 6th ruler, instead of Mercury.

Coffee it's definitely the 2nd house and taurus and venus.

I know some sun conjunct venus people that have nice voices, I had two exs that had their venus in the 2nd house and both had really pleasant sounding voices.

It's nothing to do with gem lol wtf.

Coffee, you need a "basic Astrology" refresher course.
The question is what sign rules the throat and/or voice.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Medical_astrology

Medical astrology posits the association of each sign of the zodiac with parts of the body, as follows:[8]

Aries - head, face, brain, eyes
Taurus - throat, neck, thyroid gland, vocal tract
Gemini - arms, lungs, shoulders, hands, nervous system, brain
Cancer - chest, breasts, stomach, alimentary canal
Leo - heart, chest, spine, spinal column, upper back
Virgo - digestive system, intestines, spleen, nervous system
Libra - kidneys, skin, lumbar region, buttocks
Scorpio - reproductive system, sexual organs, bowels, excretory system
Sagittarius - hips, thighs, liver, sciatic nerve
Capricorn - knees, joints, skeletal system
Aquarius - ankles, calves, circulatory system
Pisces - feet, toes, lymphatic system, adipose tissue

Aries -- the head
Taurus -- the neck and throat
Gemini -- the lungs, arms, and shoulders
Cancer -- the chest, breasts, and stomach
Leo -- the heart and upper back
Virgo -- the abdomen and digestive system
Libra -- the kidneys and lumbar region
Scorpio -- the genitals
Sagittarius -- the hips and thighs
Capricorn -- the knees and bones
Aquarius -- the calves, shins, and ankles
Pisces -- the feet

My partner has Mercury in Sag, but in the 2nd house. The ruler of his 2nd is Scorpio/Pluto in the 1st.

He has a very beautiful unique voice that stops
people in their tracks when he speaks.

I did read something else that stated attractive voice in his transits but I can't remember what it was.

You say Gemini rules the lungs, yet our voice comes from the lungs. Astrologers also tell people to use the planet perspective where Moon is emotions etc - this is the wrong way to do astrology, and most follow this wrong way - so I wouldn't pay much attention to just a few bits of research on the internet.

Yes I need one. I'm much more into advanced astrology to be bothered about basic stuff. Although if I did basic astrology stuff I wouldn't need to refer ANYONE to someone else who knows the basic stuff. There are many of the basic astrology people here, yet not enough advanced ones.

You can't claim to be advanced without knowing the basics first or else your "advanced knowledge" is faulty and isnt advanced at all.

Everyone who knows anything about astrology knows Taurus rules the voice. You have to really understand Astro 101 before moving on to more complicated studies. Or else you'll be wasting your time, not to mention misinforming others, or if you have clients, giving them bad advice.

lala didnt find that info on a little internet search only. It's in every astrology book out there. I learned that when I was 12.

You give the art a bad name when you don't first learn these basic things before moving on to other areas and trying to give people advice.

And of course there are other astro aspects that can give some a great voice. There are great voices from all the signs.

But the answer to the question "Which sign rules the voice?"
is Taurus. Find it in any book on basic astrology, ancient or new.

Even when learning astrology, and I will repeat this - people learn the wrong way. So all these astrologers who have learned to do astrology the wrong way get it from the previous generations of astrologers. So don't you think that you could be wrong here, as most of the astrology out there is bull. Just plain wrong.

I've personally tested the way I have done astrology against the sports results and it seems to work. I have celebrities and VERY important people coming upto me and giving me their astrological information (asc). Do you know why they come to ME? I think it's because I'm doing something right and accurate. Who else has that?

If most of the astrologers are wrong, how can you rely on the basic stuff being right, if they even get the basics wrong? That was my point!

I do astrology from my own personal research and have put the effort in, studying thousands of charts. I don't just quote some website. I use logic too. Can you tell me why they say Gemini rules the lungs yet voice is ruled by Taurus? It's just illogical. Does not compute in this logical brain of mine.

Hope that was much clearer!

Yes, I can tell you, but I'm not going to. I'll let you figure it out, smarty. Are the lungs the only thing that make the voice work or audible? Or do a number of things work together to make it heard.

Air, muscles in the larynx, tounge, lips and more. So should we say Aries rules the voice now, because the mouth is located on the head? Give me a break.

Anyway, I don't believe you about all the other claims you are making. Sorry. Good day.

You will someday T, and you'll be sorry for not listening to the correct way to do astrology, much sooner. No, because that kind of thing doesn't happen to an astrologer who hasn't even got a book out yet!

I don't know what I've done, but it seems like I've done something right.
