Ladies,

From the male perspective here, I would put down even money that the gentleman is just being respectful to the lady.

Granted I don't have a Capricorn Moon, but I have lots and lots of Capricorn in me.

It isn't about not being interested in the lady. It isn't about not having interest in sex. Its all about behaving with the proper etiquette.

Not insinuating anything, but not all men are Lothar from the Cave. Some men pride themselves in being gentlemen.

And Venus in 12th House does not mean that men are unable to show affection. I have that and I say ILY to every darn woman that comes into my life and stop just short of poking my wee wee around.

I know a dude with this placement who even says he loves other guys, in addition to the girls. Indiscriminate love to all.

Who came up with the idea that it means "unable to express love" anyway? No issues here. Every woman that walks by gets attention hahahaha Sorry. Discriminate love here. No men. hahahaha

YTA, you have NN in cancer in the 5th: that says it all!

venus in the 12th can manifest in different ways depending on the chart. it can also mean being so overwhelmed with unconditional love that one is rendered frozen. it can also mean deep love of solitude. or secret love. the unconscious is a broad place!

Someone on this board, a long while back. I skimmed through the old threads here after I registered and then started posting. I learned a lot of astrology from here and try to give back.

from cafe astrology:

Venus in the 12th House

You are big on romance and you tend to live and breathe your partner once you're hooked. Not the best at defining your boundaries -- where your needs and your partner's needs separate -- you can get hurt in love rather easily. You can also feel used quite readily. You are attracted to people from all walks of life, finding a partner who has an unusual background or quirky personality most attractive. Partners who mistake your compassion for weakness can take advantage of you. Being openly affectionate and trusting often doesn't seem safe to you. You may feel your love won't be appreciated or reciprocated. You may get involved in secret love affairs or fall in love with a person who is quite unavailable to you at different points in your life. Love and sacrifice often seem to go hand in hand for you - having to give something up to be with the one you love, or having to relinquish some person or some aspect of an important love relationship. You value a certain amount of self-sacrifice and a giving attitude in a partner, as you embody these traits. You can be quite mysterious to others, even if you don't mean to be, because your romantic needs are kept hidden. Although you are quite naturally drawn to relationships that are unusual, secret, challenging, and unequal, do take the time to examine why this may be the case. Be certain that you are not, in some way, punishing yourself because you don't feel worthy of an equal and public relationship.

^ I forgot about that one.

"The Astrologer's Handbook" by Frances Sakoian and Louis S. Acker says:

quote:
Venus in the Twelfth House indicates a love of quiet and solitude. Personal and social contacts often are secretive, and there can be secret love affairs. Social shyness can lead to loneliness or romantic frustration.......

There's more to the passage, but anyone curious about its entirety would probably buy the book.

Fortunately, I live in the current day and age. Keeps me legit and good.

Otherwise, if it were a couple of generations ago in Asia, I would have taken naturally to polygamy. My maternal grandfather had four legal wives, several concubines and a whole string of "young trainees," and they lived together under the same roof!

So, that's what that North Node in 5th House is all about.... What are the implications of it being in Cancer?
