Some general observations that I have taken note of;Gemini heavy chart, Asc in Gemini,Sun in Gemini/Moon in Gemini/Venus in Gemini gives off very youthful looks. In my opinion, Gemini has the largest population of young looking people I have ever seen. Pisces comes second(but more on that later). Most often Gemini placements make a person pretty-even the guys have a "pretty boy" thing going on. If you look at beautiful Gemini women-Marilyn Monroe(vintage) all the way to Adrianna Lima(current). They are beautiful women but more in the "girlie" sense of the word. And the guys-Chris Evans comes across as a fraternity brother and even Johnny Depp(with his doped out look) is more boyish looking than manly. Cancer heavy chart,Asc Cancer, Sun in Cancer, Moon and Venus there gives a fleshy body. The men tend to have round faces; especially when the moon is there. Venus in Cancer, I have observed, gains weight in later years that gets evenly distributed. Cancer women and men(in contrast to what is said)are be very well-built. The men, in particular) , seem to have flesh evenly distributed throughout their body. Capricorn heavy chart,Capricorn Asc, Sun , Moon or Venus can give off a very "forbidding" look. It is almost the look of a stern headmistress.... I've also noticed that Capricorn moon, Venus gives very good bone structure. Sophie Marceau, Monicca Belucci, Kim Basinger give off that "you can look but don't touch" look very well. Denzel Washington(Sun in Capricorn) has made a career of playing the hard nosed criminal/law enforcer in movies.His stare is always restricting and "this is final". Asc in Capricorn Sophia Loren is good at playing the sultry , but unattainable, woman in movies. She has aged very well.

Oh yes, I forgot to mention.Pisces Sun, Asc or moon always seem to have an eye thing going on. There is def something in the eyes; scorchingly bright but deep and watery at the same time. Also, Pisces-together with Gemini- can have very youthful diminutive looks.Almost like everything is stuffed into a small package. But there also seems to be another distinct contradiction.The men appear very Teddy bear like, have very imposing physiques that have shoulders bent in like they are apologizing for looking so big. While typing this, I also have the adopted homeless kid in "The Blind Side" in mind. His physical demenour is very imposing but not violent. Kinda something like that.

^ with Pisces Sun, other factors in the chart such as ASC overpowers. I think Linda Goodman noted this in "Sun Signs." I know two Pisces with same Moon sign but they both look/act way more like their ASC's. You know I love bent/rounded shoulders in a man. It's like you know these men will be nurturing and accepting far before you speak, I suposse.
I always thought it was a Cancer Mars thing, though, because that makes them look caring. But I see how sweet, compassionate Neptune/Pisces could be a strong influence, too. I think the Moon sign reflects in the person's eyes. And the Venus sign has to do with the lips shape. IP: Logged |

One strong thing I have noticed is that Gemini SUN people have button noses and are generally very skinny, which is how Gemini suns are astrologically defined to be. Yes.
Another example is that Cancer sun women at least, I find to either be very skinny or on the heavy side. Also, either very small breasts or fairly large breasts. There's not much middle ground. Another example from my own chart is Jupiter. My virgo asc should suggest small, delicate features but Jupiter is all over my chart (#2 in pullen after mercury). Including declination, it aspects Sun, Moon, mars, mercury, and asc. This has caused me to not have such delicate features. I have huge hands and feet. My head is kind of big. Brilliant thread everyone! I just wanted to point out that the house planets are in also affects appearance. For example, my boyfriend is a cancer ascendant and cancer mars. Since his mars is in the first house he shares some aries mars and ascendant traits. He has the typical cancer round face, big caring deep eyes, quiet and a nurturing demeanor. However the mars in the 1st really affects him, he has a warm and ruddy complextion like an aries and is very driven with his goals. He also is prone to headaches and has facial scars (common with first house mars).Whoever commenting on the house venus is in being you best trait is usually right. My venus is in the 4th house. I have nice symmetrical breasts (4th house is rules by cancer who rules the breasts), I have a nice distribution of fat in the right places as well. Also whoever commented in the moon sign effecting eyes is right as well. Also aspects in all of this is important to take into account too. Neptune harmonious aspects to the ascendent gives one big doe dreamy eyes. An afflicted moon with many conflicting aspects can cause unique eyes with one possibly being bigger than the other. Also your chart ruler (planet and sign) can affect appearancestors as well. Mercury dominant women are youthful looking, men mercury dominant have sly trickster looks. Pluto dominant people usually have a Roman or prominent nose, Neptune dominant have a dreamy look while Saturn dominant have a serious look with strong jaws.

Appearance really is just a combination of your whole chart. The ascendent gives a broad generalization of your looks, how you see the world (or want to see the world in some cases) and how you first appear to others (also how you can strive to appear to others). As we've seen, many things in one's chart can alter those things. So look at the whole chart, the rising is just a piece of the pie.------------------
