I'm a pessimistic, introverted, highly serious, earth Capricorn, with a feminine sign. Therefore, I unconsciously chose the masculine, fun loving, active, extroverted, fire-based, spark plug Leo for a wife.My Mars is Capricorn and my Venus is Aquarius. Sure, I've always lusted secretly for the ultra serious, ambitious, success driven Taurus woman, but that'll be a bit much with the seriousness and the feminine lol IP: Logged |

Feminine sign men. I think the dynamic between masculine and feminine is still true even when it's the woman who's masculine, and the male that's feminine. Of course sign elements go gay a lot, too. Between a dominantly masculine person, and another dominantly masculine person, there may not be enough of a window for exercising the sensitive side; no rest from the constant machismo. Conversely, with a couple that's dominantly feminine, there may not be enough room for displaying ego or initiative. A lot of dual-feminine relationships suffer the debilitating effects of suppressing the ego for an illusion of peace as a couple while in reality both parties would enjoy being able to exercise some ego in trying to obtain their life goals. When a feminine guy and a masculine woman get together, the masculine woman allows the feminine guy to be masculine, which he appreciates because it's not the dominant quality of his personality. Conversely, the feminine man allows the masculine woman the opportunity to enjoy some soft retreat from the competition and daily battles that dominate a masculine personality. Masculine enables masculine, and feminine enables feminine. IP: Logged |

What do you mean like? Like as in get along with or like as in dating? Either way I think it has to do with the fact fiery women are simply more in tune with men's way of thinking than water or earth. Men often act on instinct - so does fire. Aries women in particular get along with their fathers a lot better than their mothers (true for me anyway, don't know about ya'll). It's the way we take things, what we joke about, our independence and our pride. A lot of those are typically masculine qualities.IP: Logged |

I second this. It's kind of annoying, kind of not but I tend to attract Pisces, Cancer, Scorpios laden guys. They're a handful when they're emotional but otherwise alright. It's a lot to handle when my best friends are already Scorpio and Cancer too but oh well. They always want me to be their rock. Everyone does. Sometimes I'd like a rock... to throw. At them. Tee-hee. No but really, sometimes I would like a rock for me to gain comfort from like they do from fire signs. They're not strong in the way I'd like them to be. IP: Logged |

I'm kind of even-keel when it comes to masculine and feminine. I have touches of both. Overall though I am on the masculine side of things. The biggest feminine attributes that I have is I have a ton of compassion for almost everything and everyone, and I never disregard someones emotions if they are hurting. It's very easy for me to get all mushy-gooshy sentimental, or feel like I am going to cry (darn you sensitivity!) I'm also gay. I'm a lot of air and a lot of water, some earth, and no fire at all.

mmm, not always. At least with me. The ultimate epitome of what I am physically attracted to doesn't really align with my venus (gemini) and mars (cancer). I will completely drool over brute men. Muscular, hairy, stocky, neanderthal like, and over all primal/primitive looking, Like this. rawr! Excuse me while I pick my jaw up off the floor . Mentally/emotionally though I can't have that. They have to at least have a high-functioning mind, and be talkative/communicative, and have a kindness to them. Buuuuut I also want them to be on the dominating side slightly. That way I have someone I can push back against . ------------------ It's All Elemental ----- My Chart if relevant IP: Logged |

^ What AG said.I'd also add that (somewhat conversely) the opposite allows the masculine or feminine native to really feel what they are. Like, I tend to be a fairly masculine/assertive (female) Pisces - there're a few other elements in my chart that heavily modify the soft, wateriness of my sun (1st House Uranus trine my 5th House Sun; Aqua Moon in the 3rd; a strong Mars in Leo)...but I'm still a feminine fish at the bottom of it. My very masculine-signed-and-planeted husband (Gemini Sun, Saggi Moon, Mars/Venus conj. in Aries) has quite a few "feminizing" elements in his chart (Taurus Asc conj his Taurean Merc, Neptune heavily aspecting, and Saturn aspecting like a mofo) - but, at heart, he's still a very masculine fellow. When I'm with him, I feel much, much more feminine than I otherwise do - and he's said the inverse is true for him. IP: Logged |

I always thought it was the traits of those types of girls that stand out. You know, confident and flirty, outgoing, energetic, happy and like you know... Not dull lol. Some introverted signs are harder to get to know, and sometimes guys don't have the patience to try. Why try so hard when they can easily get along with a girl who can open themselves up quickly? Which is a shame bc alot of reserved girls are alot cooler, once you get to know them.IP: Logged |

In a way I do. I don't nessesscarly want a protector though. I want someone tough/strong though because 1. I have A LOT of mental energy combined with being senstive. If I can tell I am putting them off with it then I feel feel that and it's highly discouraging. Further, it very easily can run people into the ground. 2. They're just mad sexy to me :-P. ------------------ It's All Elemental ----- My Chart if relevant IP: Logged |

The obvious reason; They either fit their ideal venus, or were just social enough to get to them first. Could be a load of reasons.I'm a libra venus with mars scorpio. I love the bad boy dark mysterious kind of guy. Ian Samhalder

Come on. That is saying that a short guy who has no body hair, not bulky, not a bad boy, not a brute and is a Sagittarius (feminine sign) is mushy emotional and is not a protector. Except that he's Bruce Lee. BTW, he found himself a masculine wife. IP: Logged |

Why is everyone talking about this as if it were actually true? In my universe feminine and masculine signs get the same amount of attention...I know a girl who has absolutely no masculine sign in her chart and she has every guy she meets going crazy over her. And can we stop talking about feminine signs as if they're all socially retarded? Thanks IP: Logged |

^ it seems to me like KarkaQueen (et al) has something against someone who is an earth or water sign and has been involved with an Aqua Venus guy, because s/he created a flame-baiting thread about that too. IP: Logged |

I... have basically the same type. Except with less of a neanderthal face. I'd like this. I think Mars in Cancer might have something to do with this preference for big, strong, furry guys, since I have this placement too. I do have my DC in Gemini, so I prefer guys with a brain as well.
