I've always read Libra rising seeks people who are assertive, outgoing, go-getters, driven, and decisive. They also seek people who love the outdoors, who love doing things off the beaten path, who love sports and active naturesy things, and who are outrageously funny and stir people up wherever they go. Most of all they have to have tremendous enthusiasm for life and be extremely assertive and not being afraid to put their social skills to use in any situation.
The libra rising learns how to handle people from this person so that they themselves can be more assertive. They also learn from them how to care less about what people think and how to be rebellious and not worry about disrupting the harmony once in a while. The libra rising native in the relationship plays the role of quiet supporter who acts as an audience for the aries-like person and agrees with most of their plans as well as smooths over any fumbles the aries-like native might make. The aries-like friend or lover needs someone who will mot resist their ideas. They want someone who is somewhat passive and will agree with their ideas rather than challenge them with equally opinionated ways of their own. They also need someone who doesnt try to steal their spotlight or be the leader, because they enjoy being the leader. Libra rising, on ther hand, loves being led.I have found that to be very true for me as a libra rising. All of the people that made an impact in my life have been that way. ALL of them. And understanding the above has helped me very much in understanding why i didnt really feel i connected with a lot of people who felt they connected with me, while i did feel i connected with certain others. The difference was the people i didnt connect with wanted me to do the leading. They couldnt ever teach me themselves how to assertive because they were passive as well! So i had little to learn from them. Written from a libra rising's perspective: Forget the clubs and the nightlife. Forget about being cool and showing off our hottest outfit. Let’s go out on an adventure. Let’s go watch the stars in the everglades, or go to a concierto, or try to make a campfire in the middle of nowhere, or listen to a really loud band while our ears explode. Let’s dance funny in front of people and get off on a random bus stop. Let’s make music on a windy beach at night and get all the strangers to join in. Let’s videotape a catfight on south beach and make fun of the tanned ****** walking by. Let’s go to a bad neighborhood and befriend some chongas. I want adventure, not just clubs, not just being inside four walls. Let’s go watch the sunset or kayak away into it. Show me a good time, but always a little off the beaten path. And we’ll have fun! Real fun! But you lead the way, I’ll follow. I don’t like being the leader…

hmm.. so going to the airport without picking a destination then eenie meenie miney mo would be a libra rising adventure?i think it is healthier to have your own thing going on in general than being sucked into a person's life. IP: Logged |

I agree, in fact I have a saying for libra sun's Asc, "they used to be indecisive, now they can't make their minds up!" Hey, gemini and pisces are not much better either...

Last year i had made some friends and i was evaluating why i didn't like them even though they seemed to like me and i really got a long well with them. But it was because i had to be in charge of the fun i had to teach them things etc... I felt selfish in a way because i wanted to hang out with my other friends who are very like yu described in charge and outgoing even if we clashed a lot more than i did with my passive friends. They can take me places and i'll learn from them. I crave and need that. IP: Logged |

I'm a Libra rising and can relate to a lot of what you mentioned. When I go out with my friends who are also Libra rising, we take from 30 min to 1 hour trying to decide on a restaurant.Most of my exes had strong Aries placements. Apart from the qualities you mentioned, I think what I was drawn to was how they challenged my beliefs and values. While I am pretty diplomatic myself, I can't stand wishy-washy "let's agree to disagree" types! IP: Logged |

HELL'S YEAH!!!!! GEEK.ME.OUT!! That's an ARIES rising adventure I'm here to tell ya!! I've seriously told my friends that as soon as I have the $$$$$$ to do that, I'm GONE! I believe that libra-influenced people FANTASIZE about the adventurous life but I cannot think of even ONE I've ever come across who wasn't piggybacking on someone's adventure. Opposites are awesome, but again, 'co-signing' someone's awesome life isn't 'fair' or 'equal' and surprisingly (although I never hear it mentioned much) Aries is very particular about destinctions in relationships and people pulling their own weight. Remember Aries is the BABY of the Zodiac -they do not want to have to parent a tag-along! They wouldn't have the patience lol A good example is the holidays in 2010. That summer a Cancer friend and I met her friend's friend, a Cancer guy at a party. Cancer guy tell's us he's doing New Year's in Peru and we should come. We're sold for some reason and agree. Come late September and no one has yet bought ticket's and my Cancer friend is wishy-washying all over the place. One week I get my check, decide on the spot I'm tired of waiting and go and purchases all the flights, etc. Cancer girl backs out, cancer guy can't seem to pull it together even tho it was his idea ..so I went alone at 22 yrs old lol. Flew out Christmas Eve and stayed 'til the 14th of January. Didn't know a soul there and had never been out of the country! (People say "you didn't have any friends there?!!" And I grin and say "I do now!!!") I had been worried I wouldn't get my passport in time lol All my Libran friends freaked out and didn't think I should go, etc etc. lol When I reminded them of all the things they've claimed they wanted, they just got exasperated and did the self-debating thing. Like watching a tennis match lol
Anyways, I went alone had a BLAST, ate coca leaves, threw up coca leaves, danced, crushed, hangglided, ate, partied, just LIVED. A lone, traveling girl my age I met there was American and -you guessed it- an Aries lol. Funny enough, two friends I met there? Cancer girl and Libra girl -neither has yet visited though they say they want to LOL The Libra girl says she'll come this year -if she can come with her cousin who will be traveling LOL When I came back alive all of my Libra-heavy friends berated themselves for not going and honestly were pretty upset with themselves. So basically that was all tough love because my Aries rising loves you Libran people. You have to come along! You have to be brave and courageous! You can let me initiate or jumpstart things but bygolly stoke that fire! Keep that ball rolling! Don't be shy! Don't be concerned about 'perfect', be human because humans are dumb enough to skydive, yeah! Aries does mistakes, 'mybad!', and 'uhh.. Let's find a NEW way!' without hanging themselves in the debate club lol You want to be adventurous? YOU take an Arian-type person to the airport and dare THEM to travel spur of the moment!!! But warn the janitor first.. I gurantee that Aries-type will make a mess on the floor ;-D *Interesting things: -Peru is ruled by Aries and so are the mountains.
-I sustained a head injury at work right before this trip (minor concussion). After asking the doctor if I'd die if I flew and hearing 'no' I decided to go. (Aries rules the head) I was in severe severe migrainal pain the whole flight and on the 20-hour bus ride up to Cusco (where I hurled) Ahhh, Adventure!
-I have Sun cusp, ASC, Jupiter, and NN in Aries conjunct and I think that's why I HAD to go on this trip and why it was so Arian in nature.
-Jupiter started transitting Aries right after this. I guess I was being 'prepared'.
-I continued to have those Aries severe fever migraines stemming from the work injury the entire time Jupiter was transitting Aries. Yeah, as in all year last year! It only recently stopped. Weiiirdm huh? I didn't notice the connection until just now. That's another thread lol ------------------

I have libra rising and I relate to that quite a bit. I don't like admitting it, but yeeeeah I need someone who has at least some aries i their chart. Same goes for leo. Any fire really, seeing as I have none. I KNOW I need these things and I work towards them to better myself. The problem is finding an aries that is self aware and is aware of the things THEY need, and how to improve themselves. That's the catch with aries and me usually.------------------

Actually, ive never had any friends with aries placements other than aries sun. But i havent gone on any adventures with those (ppl with aries suns). I find aries placements energy throws me completely off balance. Also, aries placements doesnt always lead to someone being adventurous and taking te lead. I've found aries need the encouragement and ideas of air signs to have adventures. THey have a lotof energy but not that many adventurous ideas. I think they are more intellectual people who like to work hard and have party nights for sure, but it's not any out of the box experience. I for one hate parties. They are also usually loners...doing many projects throughout the day and mingling with lots of diff ppl but rarely sticking too long around just one. We are way too different. The people i have had a connection with have instead just had a very active personality without any aries in their chart. And my best friend for a while was a libra and he would go on a plane to another country in a heart beat, and i would go with him! My other best friend for a while was a pisces and he was soo adventurous but he didnt have any aries placements. He wasnt hot heated or emotionally charged or always wanting to be alone bc it was more independent which i fid are aries placement qualities. IP: Logged |

I'd be annoyed if I'd be constantly bossed around though. I do have a lot of ideas in my head that I really wish to put into real practice. It'd nice to have an Aries now and then kick me in the butt and yell: "Just do it!" or better: "Let's do it!". Most people I know have either a lot of Saturn, Libra or Water, I have never ever met an Aries in my life which I find to be a pity. But I have NN in Aries, guess I have to be my own Aries. Pandacake, lol read what I wrote in my post before. I dont like aries placements bc they are too impulsive, unrefined, and bossy. But I guess that is my fault for putting Aries qualities in the thread name lol. I wrote Aries qualities but was not referring to Aries placements really, just people with aries qualities. What an awesome, awesome post! I am a Libra Sun and Aries Ascendant. I go from one extreme to another. Sometimes I cannot make a decision even if my life depended on it! On the other hand I love it when I get angry. That's the phase I get most stuff done, I make decisions in the blink of an eye. I feel so energized, I feel that this is the way I'm supposed to be. Libra rising here.No. No, no no. Nooo. While I do like people who are fun without being cold, I certainly wouldn't want a close relationship with them, and certainly NOT do things with them that I wouldn't do alone. I much prefer people who are Cancer-like, Taurus-like, or Pisces-like... I don't dislike Aries but it's far from being what I would seek for. IP: Logged |

Come on! Ever met ms Aries with moon in Taurus,venus in Pisces and Mars in Scorpio? But if we're talking about someone with an Aries stellium for example, I will probably bail IP: Logged |

I have not, but I know too many Aries Suns and Aries Moons, and I don't have any particular interest in their Aries qualities.
Not a fan of Scorpio either. I'm Cancer Sun & Pisces Moon, and anything Scorpio cuts like a knife, purposedly or not. IP: Logged |
