For every sign I can point out a hottie and an uggo. Depends on synastry.

I'm a Gem rising and have always been skinny. I don't think Air signs are known for being "rounded."

hahaha there is no accounting for taste!
but i tend to agree, ive always thought of air signs as tall and thin as far as ascendents go.

For some reason I feel like the Asc sign descriptions given are much more accurate for the men and not so much for the women.

I often find it easier to guess what Rising sign men have.

All true for me. I have Taurus on the midheaven, and there is absolutely nothing warlike about me - I'm very feminine. And I absolutely love my food. If "big eaters" is a polite way of saying "overweight" though, they missed the mark with me there. I'm petite, but I do have curves. Apparently Cancer rising women are often handed a generous card in the chest department - this is also true of me!

However, do you think progressed asc influences looks as well?

Very early in my life (we're talking age 1 or 2 here) my asc progressed into Leo, and have a head of blonde curls. For majority of my life, I had also never met a sparkle, miniskirt or high heel I didn't like.

This year, my asc is due to move on into Virgo. I've noticed that my style of dress is becoming more conservative. I'm not comfortable wearing the miniskirts and I was totally ok with in the past. I put it down to just maturing and getting a sense of modesty, but maybe there's more to it then that?
