I once saw a sign that said "sin is death" but if "all deaths are suicide (linda goodman)" and suicide is sin, then shouldnt "death is sin" be more appropriate?

when organic is used to describe food then you know we have come to a dark age in history

we could suffer from death of loved ones, to abuse of any kind or just loneliness

in my life, i'v nearly died when i was a baby, my grandfather died when i was about a year old, my father died when i was 11, my grandmother died at around the same time, and my best friends mother died a couple of years later

also, we are very prone to depression, and through that we can heal and help others

Yes! In my Life I have always felt alone, kind of hard to explain why I have always felt this way. I have loving friends and family in my life that love me dearly. I'm always so serious, a bit moody and intense.

Well I was born a breech birth and my mom tells me she blacked out and needed blood transfusion when giving birth to me. Doctors told my father to choose between the two of us( which one of us he wanted to live)he pleaded to please save us both... so yeah it was a bad situation but we both made it somehow

My childhood was no picnic, father was strict and was prone to violent fits of rage, ( like throwing plates and puching the stereo). He was not a happy man, Mom eventually divorced him....thankfully. Mom also not one to mess with, she's a strong woman, hot tempered as well. I experienced/saw alot of things that a child my age(9 at the time) shouldn't really being dealing with. It made me fearful of the world, made me realize the world is not a friendly place afterall. At the time I had Transit Pluto square my natal Moon (worst transit ever). I also dealt with alot of depression actually at the age of 9/10 I wanted to take my own life......cause life sucked so bad...but never went thru with it

but It def made me a stronger person as an adult. Now I am the nurturer to my friends and family. I can see when people are not ok.
I always listen and give advice.

This is very very true. The sheer breadth of emotion, and thought that I have experienced throughout my life is staggering. Stuff that is not even my own or part of who I am. I have since concluded that the reason I have experienced what I have is so I have the most complete picture of the human mind possible. That way I can help solve the mental and emotional problems of others with great ease. Largely because I have "been there" with many many things and know what it is like on the inside.

It's not always fun and a lot of the stuff I went through sucked, but it was supremely important and I wouldn't change it.

Yikes! Two of my children have their suns in the 8th house. I've got an 8th house moon and have seen my share of trouble...the strange thing is, I feel that I can relate to them better because we are all kind of tuned into the dark side.

Still, they are generally happy so far (at ages 12 and 9!).

Best wishes,
Faith

I believe your kids will be fine! Most of my troubles have been at the hands of other people. (Mother, father, etc)...I've been mostly raised by my grandmother who has Sun in the 8th house also. We are very close. I'm happy to hear your moon is in the 8th house. Like you said, you feel like you can relate to them better. I'm sure they feel the same way!

8th house souls do not have it easy, but we have the inner strength to handle such things...I believe if you embrace your "loneliness", you'll realize that you are never truly alone.

dont be frightened by the fact their suns are in the 8th...they will very naturally be attracted to the dark side

all that matters is what you teach them so they dont stray off the right path

you can expect a lot of strange things, and before you try to explain to them what this or that is NOT, do research before hand and then explain to them what it IS

when the time comes, you'll know what i mean by that

Thanks Tautomer. I agree with this, the more pluto energy you have the more you are blessed with a never retiring will power. Have you ever seen the movie Apocalypto? I love Rudy Youngbloods charactar(Jaguar Paw), he protrays pluto energy well in my eyes.I can be pushed down but once i get up and set my mind and heart to it i always get it done. I guess we are given great willpower to triumph over the many obstacles. I also feel 8th house people are also meant to see/deal/learn things that others may not have in them to handle. We are meant to take this responsibility of deeper darker things. Thanks for your insight

If you spend enough time in that place, you begin to understand that you have such deep insight into people, because that lonely place which we believe is our own, is really a big shared room that we are too busy looking out of our eyes and talking out of our mouths to notice. Sun in 8th house people can step away from the outside world and listen to what is happening on the inside of everything. I am very happy my Neptune is here, because I am capable of seeing people's inner thoughts and feelings with clarity when I have been invited to do so.

Take heart friend, you are standing at the precipice of the universal truth behind the images which flash in front of your eyes. The more you understand it, the less you feel afflicted and the more you feel like someone who knows the punchline to a joke that many other people are trying to figure out. The more you understand it, the more other people seem afflicted and you seem fortunate enough to be able to help them. =D

Xiiro i really get where you are coming from. You are right, we are all here individually but connected to a greater universal truth with our own journeys, with our own karma to guide us.

In vedic Astrology, Sun in this House is a very strong position as the Sun person gives off a regenerating energy/aura to all things it is around. I have been told my Sun positon in one of healing, I am meant to heal. You already understand this out of your soul and intuition though.

Thank you for your familiar but reassuring insight Xiiro

It's like based on placements we're on similar paths just different journeys.

I've always seen having a powerful 8th house as a blessing. It's never been an easy life, hell is an all too familiar place. Trust me I have a room in Hades that I visit every once in a while not by choice of course. But I've also got a room in a place near heaven that I visit less frequently but it's there as a reminder. Having 8th house planets isn't that bad, I've learned life is what you make it and you get what you give. I stopped feeling pity for myself a long time ago. Yes horrifying things happen to me at an alarmingly frequent rate, but gosh I know a lot about a great deal because of those experiences. I'll always views the 8th house as a gift, possibly the ultimate gift in relation to transformation and existing. Let's turn our frown's upside down 8th Housers!

Hello
Is it true that those with Scorpio Pluto in the 8th House are obsessed with sex, or does it depend on their 5th House, their Mars Sign, House Placement and Aspects?

Cancer Rising
2nd House Leo Sun
3rd House Leo Mercury
6th House Sagittarius Moon & Pluto
1st House Cancer Venus & Mars
9th House Pisces Jupiter conjunct MC.

Yeah, I hate this placement too. I want to feel like I can hide from people since it's in the house of Scorpio but I don't think people with this placement can hide though, I dunno, not usually at least. The problem is that people can easily pick up on your emotions/vibes. We might be secretive, but I feel like it's written all over our faces though too. This placement does bestow certain gifts though, I will say that much. I feel as if I can almost manifest myself into anything, yet, on the downside people will be able to see it too. Whatever the Sun touches, it illuminates. It's a strange placement to have since you as your Sun (whatever it is) is going to carry you throughout your life in that way but it's just going to be very Scorpionic or want to remain hidden or secretive, yet the Sun wants to shine in on this... I don't know, it's hard to explain. Honestly, I think if you get into the deep psychology of it, most of the time people don't even really see or understand all of this anyways unless they're really into astrology. People probably just see you as extremely emotional or moody. It also means that sometimes when you try something "secretive" that some people will be able to see it since it's illuminated after all. How can Scorpio stay hidden when the light is constantly shined on them for the world to view? Not very practical. I also do believe that this placement is more of a subconscious "feeling" type of placement. Especially when you're a mix of air and water like me. It's hard to balance logic with feeling, but if you're able to do it effectively it can be one of the most powerful things ever since the mind and our emotions go hand in hand anyways. It's just that one is more subconscious and the other isn't. I look at this placement as either a curse or a gift honestly. It's just how you use it. I feel this way with all placements honestly. They're all unique. I'd say just don't pretend like you can see everything in the "hidden" realm and I think you'll be alrite. Your gift is that you're able to effectively size the world up with everything that is illuminated, not the things that are in the dark. That can be dangerous if you don't have other aspects working well to properly "detect" what is actually going on around you. If it's in the dark, then you need to be honest with yourself and admit that to yourself. It might be a hard pill to swallow too, but it's the truth, and you'll ultimately always know what you're in the dark about too. They also wield great intuition too, but it's within a realm of things that are brought into the light though. It can be seen as a contradicting placement but it doesn't have to be all bad though. It's just that the Sun forces us to be completely honest. I suppose another good side to this is that if you're able to fully utilize this placement it will bestow gifts of complete and total intense control to the person that wields it. You also may not believe it but you also have the ability to be able to subconsciously control any situation just as long as you utilize it correctly with other people and don't get a big head. It can be good and bad, but it's all in how you use it. Use it positively instead of negatively. It's kind of a catch 22 with this placement, because I feel like if you truly utilize it to it's full potential then you can basically use it as a powerful fusion with your Sun sign, almost as if you were a Scorpio Sun, but not really. People will always be able to see this too, but if used in a positive light, then it will be so magnetic/intense that some people will not be able to handle it. Scorpio is all about control and it doesn't play games when it comes to this. It will force you to shed your skin so to speak and manifest into an individual with greater control. And then in the end, you'll actually end up becoming what you wanted to anyways, because you'll get the secretive flow that you dream about, it's just that some people won't know what to do with it since they don't understand it, and it's extremely intense. You probably cannot walk into a room without being noticed. You're just too magnetic most likely. It's almost like people with this placement have the entire world's attention or something. People can't help but be drawn to you due to your deep self-awareness of wanting to be able to control everything. The good news is... lol, is that you CAN. IF you really want to, BUT, your enemy and your downfall can be your overconfidence too. This is why Pluto is all about control, as well as deep psychology, since it wouldn't be wise for Scorpio to just run full speed down a dark alley that they know nothing about....it's foolish...and It's a balancing act... anything that touches Scorpio I don't feel like will be easy, and I think that's the point.

I have Sun in the 8th house of my birth chart. It is what it is. It certainly is not torture, even with Sun being conjunct Saturn, also in the 8th. It urges a probing determination to my basic orientation in life. So I look past the surface to what is under it.

The 8th has been termed political, economic, financial, sexual, psychic, and a wide variety of things, but 'torture' is just being melodramatic. It certainly can be trouble if you live life co-dependently since it is about investment in what is shared with others. While the 7th house relates to the start of relationships and how the 'look' outwardly, the 8th is more what's under the hood. So planets there are the energies you have to deal with in creating the outcomes of intimacy and merging with intimates.

I see it as torture on certain days... lol... ... of course I can't stand having the attention on me a lot of the time. (Scorpio rising). I'd also advise you to not try to always look too deeply into all situations though since some people will be able to easily pick up on this and it could lead to dangerous situations. Your ability to look past surface matters should be handled with utmost control, self-discipline, psychology, as well as testing. Except I wouldn't advise to do this while people are around that you don't feel comfortable with. If Sun in the 8th starts doing this and intensely, people will be able to pick up on it from a mile away. I suppose the best advice I can give is to always have a level head about you and practice having self-control as often as possible, treat everyone with the respect they deserve, since this is really where the true power lies with this placement. This is a hard placement sometimes because you can't be too guarded, yet, you also can't be too open. It's a balancing act I think. People will be absolutely mesmerized by your ability to remain infinitely calm and collected. They won't know what's up with you. Some might even take offense to this and think that you're trying to "study" them. The key I think is to not broadcast your intentions to the entire world while everyone will simultaneously pick up on your intense/emotional nature. You need to learn correct calculation and you'd do well to learn PRECAUTION AND UTILIZE THE UTMOST CARE as well as respect first. I can't stress that enough. Criminals and people up to no good will be able to sense your fantastic intuition unfortunately especially if you're using it intentionally and in a rash manner. This is extremely important with this placement and with Scorpionic energy in general. You can either become the villain that tries to manipulate everyone around you to a degree, or the person that is terrifyingly calm, positive, confident, etc...the protagonist. Take your pick, but this is just Scorpio in general too I feel. (I'm also not saying this specifically to you Kannon, I'm just trying to help others). Pisces energy will understand you very well. Usually....as well as Cancer.
