I see posts for all different planets and aspects. But if you think of our solar system. There is only one sun, it dictates everything, and determines the characteristics of the other planets, etc. I would think our solar system is like our natal chart and the type of sun that we have is the major influence along with where that sun was(rising)IP: Logged |

because the sun isnt always the source of our personality....its only about 80% at most for some people------------------ I once saw a sign that said "sin is death" but if "all deaths are suicide (linda goodman)" and suicide is sin, then shouldnt "death is sin" be more appropriate? when organic is used to describe food then you know we have come to a dark age in history IP: Logged |

I think maybe it's because pop astrology is all about sun signs only (YOU ARE LIBRA?! WELL YOU PRETTY AND INDECISIVE. BYE.) and people are trying to take the focus away from suns a little bit. Also, I feel like personality isn't what mainly dictates a person. We are mashups of everything and also, what we call personality has been shaped by so amny other little things.IP: Logged |

Well a lot of people do not feel there sun signs. I think all planets are of equal importance. Some people understand their personally. Perhaps they are more interested in the predictive side of astrology maybe even synastry. I see people on facebook all the time getting daily sun sign horoscopes and just laughing. There is at least 5 other personal planets you need to check and also possibly the outer planets which influence you

The Sun is number 1. I'm all Libra and quite proud of it. I'm also a lot of other things but first and foremost I'm a Libra, everything else follows a few paces behind in respect to my astrological identity. Sometimes I think those who relate to other parts of their chart more are biased against their Sun signs...but that's just MY perspective. I had a Taurus friend who never wanted to admit she was a Taurus, she had her moon in Pisces. Her Midheaven was in Aries and she claimed she was an Aries, but she most definitely acted like a Taurus. I guess the only thing that matters is how you see yourself. IP: Logged |

... Because you can get that anywhere? I LOVE the response regarding Libra. HILARIOUS.Honestly, Sun placement is ONE slice of a LOT of other facets. To focus on sun signs would be overly basic and a waste of a specialty forum, if you ask me. But I'm a professional and far beyond the sun-sign focus. ------------------ Stargazing in Hollyweird, -AMP -- Karma's a b*tch. Because there are a lot of nuances to Personalitites. Not every Aqua for instance behaves the same way in every situation. I strongly identify with my Sun, yes but I also have a big Sag bent in my chart and can relate to a lot of Sags as well.IP: Logged |

My sun sign in leo does not fit me by itself. Besides the queenie appearance and egoistic pride, there is nothing that fits - I hate the limelight, dislike group activities, love freedom and knowledge.. Hmmm, I'm still struck in South Node comfort zone. Oh well, that's another topic. It just ain't logical to discuss the entire worlds' population based on 12 categories. I like to think that there are billions of combination of planets and asteroids making a person - the world will be much more interesting to live in. IP: Logged |

I'm a taurus but it's such a small player in my chart. I do have some taurus attributes. The biggest being is I am horribly stubborn and I do not want to something, it is NOT happening. I also enjoy comfort and the finer things in life and seek it quite a bit.Even then though, those things could be explained through my other placements. In natal charts, my sun is most definitely not my most important player. ------------------ It's All Elemental ----- My Chart if relevant IP: Logged |

I personally think the sun counts for only like 40-50% of your personality at most. Your moon, asc, venus and mercury affect you alot too.IP: Logged |

One hundred percent agree. I actually have never met someone who did not seem like their sunsign. I also think it just has to do with people who don't know themselves well enough or don't want to see themselves as that sun sign for some reason. Great post! IP: Logged |

strangely nobody thinks ima taurus. i get scorpio or libra. but to me i can see taurus loud and clear..some people do have the sun as the only planet in that sign. i was thinking they were the ones that didn't identify as much.. okay i'm off to do some shopping! IP: Logged |

People say I look like a libra too. Is venus your dominant planet? I think Venusians basically have a similar personality to libras sweet and charming.IP: Logged |
