Are there some trends in the charts of those found to be alcoholics? An astrologer friend of mine looked at my chart and warned me to be careful. I can not lie, I love a nice craft brew, a little too much sometimes.What are the tell tale signs of an alcoholic? 12th house Neptune and/or Jupiter? IP: Logged |

I've read that Watery Mars placements (Mars in Cancer, Scorpio, and especially Pisces- Alcohol is Liquid Fire) can indicate a liking to alcohol, so I guess Mars in the 12th house applies as well,IP: Logged |

Pisces on the ASC, or Sag moons tend to be alcoholics.... "My sister's cousin in law twice removed has a Pisces ASC, or a Sag moon and she's a health freak." Awesome. Anyways... In my experience the people whom I've known to be alcoholics have had Sag moons. 3 of them, actually. The first was a Leo with a Sag moon AND Neptune on his Capricorn ASC or aspecting it. He couldn't sleep unless he'd had a 12 pack. Every night. The other one I know came from a dysfunctional home (ditto the first one) and turned to alcohol to self medicate. She's in denial she's an alcoholic, but she is. Virgo with a Sag moon. The third one had a dysfunctional relationship with his father (actually now that I think about it all three of these people had dysfunctional relationships with their father. Pattern?) and his dad would usually be drunk when he got home. Subsequently my friend picked up heavy drinking but at this point I would only say he's borderline alcoholic. Still, the dependence is there.

Hmm, Sag Moons and emotional excesses...could be.Do check for afflictions to Neptune (addictions) and Jupiter (excesses). ------------------

I'm a sag moon with mars in water and a lot of libra. I find it easy to continously eat or drink but I als know how my self confidence pivots when I gain a few pounds so I try not to. Try jupiter or saturn aspects. In the progressed chart my jupiter still squares saturnbut saturn only tgrines my moon..I'm still over weight. The same aspect with my friend except his moon squares saturn in the progressed and he's very thin and easily depressed. lolIP: Logged |

A few different astrologers have warned me to be wary of addictive tendencies given my Neptune/Sun/Saturn t-square......and it's definitely there.
There are many things of which I don't partake because I recognize my native tendency towards addiction ------------------

Scorpio Sun, Mars, Pluto 8H
Pisces moon 12H & Pisces Asc
Neptune Capricorn septiles Sun The taste of Acohol digust me especially beer.
Not saying the water sign thing can't be true because my dad is a Pisces sun w/ scorpio moon and he likes to drink. But as a person full of water in there chart it's definitely not a guarantee to be an acoholic. IP: Logged |
