mercury conj moon, can have sleep problems be good at communincating emotions but add indecisiveness being in house of libra
Mercury square uranus make for a very quick mind and speech, but not necessarily intelligence. maybe good at maths and science, but would also add argumentativeness.

for intelligence mercury easy aspect to pluto. If hard aspect it develops control, power issues and can sometimes deteriorate into verbal lacerations and acid tongue

Virgo is very intelligence, but worries and nit picks wherever it sees imperfections.

Powerful- attraction planets on MC (Sun,Moon,Venus,Mars)

High sex drive- strong Mars,Pluto,Uranus,H8.

Intelligence-Merc,Uranus,strong H3,9,connections between rulers of these houses...

^ Natally speaking.

^^^
I would agree with this. I have a lot of these placements and I attract/am attracted to powerful/intelligent men (and they usually end up having high sex drives).

To be honest, I wish I didn't attract these types, as they are not always the most empathetic of people, and I am HIGHLY empathetic (to a fault really). I've been trying to figure out what it is in me that I'm missing that keeps attracting me to these types so I can kind of 'break the cycle' so to speak, but I haven't been able to fully piece it together yet.

I think the tendency to be argumentative might depend on where the mercury actually falls? I dislike conflict, it stresses me out alot! Like I physically get affected.
I thought being argumentative was more mercury square mars?

I AM indecisive though haha. Can't help it, gotta weigh out all the options first -_-.

I have to study my natal aspects.

Education credentials are boring but I have my inordinate share, with three graduate degrees. I was captain and anchor of my college debate team and all-Ivy League team. I was also Phi Beta Kappa and a Fulbright Scholar in graduate school, as well as a Fellow at the United Nations. In business school, I made Beta Gamma Sigma. No, these are not party fratenities lol

In terms of Power, I don't know whether you are referring to career power, money power, popularity/politicsl power or power as in physical/mental dominance. I do have a strong domineering personality that I throttle back unless I'm at work and butts need to be kicked. Otherwise, I make a concerted effort not to exercise power.

Mercury conjunct Mars
Mercury and Mars in conjunction increases your mental energies and produces a very sharp mind. You are mentally aggressive and have a tendency to become more partisan and decisive in your views. You are less apt to waste time making decisions, and you are quick to act on your ideas. You love the competition of debate because it allows you to prove your intellectual superiority. Always being so sure you are right, you sometimes make premature judgments and decisions. Your sharp mind often jumps ahead in conversations and you have a tendency to interrupt others when they are speaking, and this can be annoying at times. With this placement you need to concentrate on slowing down your racing mental reactions and get all the facts before responding.

Mercury sextile Neptune
The sextile of Mercury and Neptune gives intuitive insight and a fertile imagination. You are creative in writing and you may have more than a passing interest in photography, magic or illusion. You are thoughtful and contemplative, usually having schemes planned well ahead of schedule. You know not to accept ideas at face value, and you check every matter out in fine detail. You have an insatiable curiosity.

MARS trine PLUTO
A trine between Mars and Pluto shows that the assertiveness in your nature is well aligned with your dedication to causes. You can be effective in solving problems in society because you have a deep understanding of those problems and their origins. Services are offered out of spiritual convictions. To you, romantic connections have deep meaning and interest. You display a caring nature that extends in several directions to transform those you contact, socially and emotionally.

These are all my aspects:
Sun Quincunx Moon
Sun Square Jupiter
Sun Trine Uranus
Sun Sextile Ascendant
Moon Trine Venus
Moon Sextile Jupiter
Moon Square Uranus
Moon Square Ascendant
Mercury Conjunction Mars
Mercury Sextile Neptune
Venus Sextile Jupiter
Mars Sextile Neptune
Mars Trine Pluto
Jupiter Quincunx Uranus
Saturn Square Neptune
Uranus Conjunction Pluto
Uranus Opposition Ascendant
Neptune Sextile Pluto

YoursT,
data means very little to me, I'm visually orientated and need to SEE charts pls?

aspects are only 1/3 of natal charts. Planets in signs and planets in houses tell the better/full story..

Then I need assurances from the moderators that this will not be moved into Personal Readings. That seems to be the practice immediately when a chart is posted.

Intelligence, not the whole book smart, lacking in basic eq definition. I need somebody who's always aiming to improve themselves, always curious (in the sense that they're always willing to increase their knowledge base), somebody knowledgeable about a myriad of different topics, but also has the street smarts down pat. Intelligence- fast learner, an open minded learner...Somebody that is incredibly intellectual but not 'stiff'. They need to have charisma, charm, a playful demeanor and an impressive wit.

So in other words, something like a student body president, with more brains.

I've dated smart guys, but sometimes they're pretty...boring. The reason I fell in love with one of my exes was that he had the wit and the brains, the ambition, the 'vision' and the sparkle lol.

Gotta have that sparkle!

Would you consider an entrepreneur without a formal education but with successful skills to be intelligent? How about a mob boss?

The reason is because i'm myself unimpressed with education. Telling me that a person is a physician honestly doesn't tell me a whole lot about a person's intelligence. I've also met lawyers that are xenophobic and poorly traveled, or cannot speak intelligently on global issues. I find that extremely unintelligent despite a whatever law school degree.

If one can run a criminal enterprise, I may not agree with the ethics, but I'm certainly impressed with the skill and chutzpah.

Yeah there's technical intelligence, and then there's natural intelligence, cos brains is afterall not purely defined on how high up the education ladder you choose to go.

A penniless man with a vision and hard work who becomes wealthy is certainly very attractive. Book smarts is terribly overrated. One needs IQ and EQ to be brilliant imo.

Essentially 'worldliness' is what I'm looking for. A sophisticated guy is very appealing.
That's why I can't understand how some people can place so much emphasis on looks. Sure looks matter TO AN EXTENT (gotta be well presented and not unkempt) but to overlook more important attributes in favour of something so fleeting is quite silly imo.

i have merc conj my dc too but i don't prize intelligence so much. i like artistic ability more. (also off topic but a nice singing voice lol)

i kinda can't stand stupid taste tho. i know it's funny and cute at the beginning but after awhile i feel dumb by association.

hey i was student body president LOLOL! but i think i just got the cool vote.

the mob boss i met was a lawyer. i thought he was awesome.

Interesting conversation here. YTA your educational achievements are flabbergasting, not boring at all!

I've never talked to a Fulbright scholar before.

I know this question about intelligence wasn't directed at me, but I hope no one minds if I chime in with my own ideas? Because I like thinking about this.

I think it's impossible to give an objective, all-encompassing definition of intelligence, because the mind manifests itself so many interesting ways. Right?

But for romantic purposes, I think intuitive awareness coupled with the ability to communicate intelligently would be paramount.

quote:
“All great lovers are articulate, and verbal seduction is the surest road to actual seduction” - Marya Mannes

Maybe the highest form of intelligence involves the ability to hypnotize yourself so you don't feel pain...but that's a personal attribute, not necessarily social.

Apart from impressing your date by setting your hand on fire and not flinching, that won't get you too far. I don't think so anyway.

Actually when I was single I would have gone for a guy like that in a heartbeat.

Well I can't top you with that. I did make out with a guy from Yale once- he wasn't too impressed with me because whenever I came up for air I said something like, "1580 on your SAT's?! I'm soooo in love!"

In my defense I was drunk. On tequila no less.
