I don't know what they've said, but I agree with you also. I have a Sagittarius friend with moon in scorpio and I feel very comfortable around her. (She considered me a close friend for a while, until she disclosed me as an aquaintence, and kicked me out of her little circle) So I was able to validate Astrology when she replaced our friendship with one she valued more. (She pretty much blew me off for a Cancer with moon in Libra. To be her new best friend-like person. These are highschool friendships, so I know not to place too much of an importance on them.)

No, not really. But it seems that the natal resonance with my Venus is a MUST, while the resonance with my natal Mars is not necessary, not for me to feel erotically or romantically attracted at least.

It is also true that for me to be attracted to a guy, he MUST have a Venus in a Yin sign, the only exception is a Sagittarius-Venus.

And Ihave a definite preference for Venus in Capricorn, Scorpio and sometimes Pisces.
Also, nearly all guys I have ever felt even a slight attraction to, including celebrities, have a mutable ASC, with a clear preference for Sagittarius and Pisces.
Once or twice an Aries or Libra-ASC poped up as well, which was highlighting my natal IC-MC-axis.

And in friendships for some reason ASC or Moon in Cancer pops up SOO frequently, it is not funny anymore. But I`d never fall for a guy with Moon or ASC in Cancer.

Usually the books say it is THE aspect to look out for in synastry, that it almost guarantees falling love and being soulmates.
But even though that is one amazing aspect to have, I have found it to relate more to a feeling of being comfortable with each other, than really that "in love" feeling.
For that I have found the ruler of the 5th house to be much more relevant.
Which is probably a reason, why my Venus needs to be touched for me to be attracted, as Venus rules my 5th house.

Paul`s Mars is in Libra conjunct Pluto.

(I once checked three of the supernatural / vampire shows that are currently running: VAmpire Diaries, True Blood and Supernatural. And it turned out that Paul Wesley (VD), Anna Paquin (TB) and Jared Padalecki (SN) were all three born so close to each other, that they all were having a Libra-Mars conjunct Pluto. I just thought that was almost creepy, that not only they became actors and were having popular shows at roughly the same time, but that these shows also were so descriptive of that Venus/Pluto-vibe, that their Mars-positions indicate.)

green lines are quinkunxes/ inconjunct
(I did not draw all possible aspects, it is cluttered enough as it is. lol)

And since I was toying around with it, this is the synastry with a celebrity "I hate to love/ like".
I think this ambivalence is very clearly to be seen in the chart.
