i don't think so either. mars doesn't understand emotions its all instinct. I don't see what emotions the mars person would reciprocate to the moon person. I think its more about lust/desire as far as emotions. Instinctual emotions. I wouldn't call it romantic either. Moon to moon is more emotional attraction and understanding.

Not for me either.

:edit:
I've had this twice in my life with two different guys - one was a Sag and recently a Virgo. The aspect was exact & I was the Moon in both relationships.

The gist: Mars wants Moon. Moon is flattered. Mars acts childishly, selfishly or becomes in some way annoying. Moon tries to mother Mars. Moon gets seriously bored doing this. Moon cannot be bothered with Mars and leaves. Mars is angry that Moon has left for egotistical reasons. Mars keeps trying to get Moon back because the sexual attraction was so strong from Mars' perspective (and this is so extremely important to him). Moon could care less about the sex. Moon says "NO". Eventually Mars loses patience and moves on with his life. There are no serious 'hard feelings'.. If/When they bump into each other they can say "Hi.. How are you these days?".. but neither person is romantically interested anymore. The End.

For me it's the other way around. I am always the moon person and the mars who conjuncts me drives me crazy! Lust and desire and sooo attractive...

^ Maybe you had a more attractive synastry overall!
The only men who drive me crazy have Mars conjunct either my Venus/NN or my Pluto/SN. I have a Ven/Pluto opposition in natal.

Extremely intense, soulful, real.

I was Mars, moon pursued ME. This was HIS idea.

To make a long story short, though...I guess he did find me "aggressive" in the end. He would do things that seemed excessive, like write me long letters about one minor issue, and I thought that was sweet.

But if I did anything similar, or even half as excessive, he would turn cold.

If I backed off, I'd get another long letter from him about how I shouldn't back off.

If I came close again, it was too close for his liking.

Impossible to maintain.

synastry is a complex business and we need to SEE charts, if you do post it's probably best to put them in PR forum..

How to post your chart… http://www.linda-goodman.com/cgi-bin/ubb/ubbmisc.cgi?action=getannounce&ForumNumber=11&Start=2455736.99&End=2459389&Session=

Basic astrology forum, How to approach Synastry http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum12/private-jjLYZw161/HTML/000667.html
To enter this forum you need an extra password – astrology….

Please remember to reduce the orb ratio down to 40% (ONLY for syn bi wheel) as the max orb between planets is 3'. To enter this forum you need an extra password – astrology….Composite should be 85% orbs

when you get this chart, please also post the *pdf file*, above left of chart look for *view additional tables (PDF)* This will bring up 2pages –at a glance planet to planet. Scroll down to last page and *aspect grid* (ONLY for syn bi wheel) THIS is very important as it seems to show more aspects than is visible on the bi wheel…

problem is uploading to photobucket you have to change this from abode format into a picture. This is done by getting the relevant page/grid/bit in front of you,on screen then( if bit big press ctrl and - to reduce image). the press ‘prtsc sysrq’ - top row inbetween pause break and F12. This has copied to clipboard.

Paste into Paint or some other photo software. Crop the picture and save to hard drive, then upload to photobucket, select chart press IMG and past link into thread.... done

I truly believe that the moon turns the mars on so much like that's the source of the agression. in conjunction at least. like she brings the animal in him. do you agree?

the upper level characteristics of Mars are determination, self-reliance, an aggressive nature, bold and devotion. Some lower level characteristics of the Mars archetype include jealousy, stubbornness, violence, destructive, warlike, and cruel. Mars next to any other planet give a great deal of energy to the action of the other planet.

the Moon, a feminine archetype, represents our emotional character, our moods and subconscious thoughts. Where the moon is in the chart (the house and sign placement) shows what area of life will have fluctuations and changes and where there will be a strong drive for stability. Words often associated with the moon are: emotional, sensitive, imagination, domestic, instinctive, inspiration, visionary psychic powers, flexibility, amorousness, and creativity.

All this means to me is great sex..

In my case, yes. It's like I became a different person...never felt like that ever before or since. I'm talking about the conjunction.

My Mars is trine my hubby's moon. Much nicer because it's sustainable & doesn't turn me into a werewolf.

What can I say I'm a VISUALLY orientated person, I need to SEE charts not data. I really don't understand how anyone can answer these types of generic questions, without seeing how a planet is aspected and which house it's IN>>>

Well the trine makes it easy, I'm jealous

But regardsd to OP who started this thread. You simply cannot look at say two planets without MORE data or posting a chart, pref syn bi wheel.

so talking about generics such as a planet is a sign is ONLY taking into account 1/3 of what you should be talking about, the other 2/3 are house and aspects. Personally I would prefer to SEE a chart where planets are posited and how they are aspected for a more full picture rather than seeing just 1/3 of a picture.!!!!

SaggiMC,

Do you ALWAYS have to remind people of this? Like on every thread? I'm not trying to be mean but almost every thread you post in, you say this over and over and over.

Houses and aspects do give a more complex and layered portrait of a single planetary placement, yes. And it does help more in synastry. But, just knowing someone's Moon or Mars sign already gives you a good enough description of their emotional nature (Moon) or driving nature (Mars) to make personal observations about them. Sure, it's not the entire picture but you're definitely not left in the dark, either.

I get what you're trying to say but you don't have to be so ad nauseum about it. It can get kind of condescending at times.

Anyways, curiouswoman, I do agree with you. Moon-Mars conjunctions are powerful connections. Quite a few recent threads have been made about this aspect, so it's obviously one of the strongest out there.

Mars will feel a strong attraction to the Moon person, but it will mostly be of a raw and sexual nature. Mars is what turns us on and the Moon person naturally embodies the kind of energy the Mars individual finds sexy.

The Moon person's attraction to Mars will likely be less conscious. Mars energy is more overt and on the surface than our Moon energy. So the Mars person kind of acts out all of the Moon's darkest, deepest desires. There might be something liberating in that and it can result in a great sex life.

I believe the Moon is just as important to our sexuality as Mars. But it's more emotional and imaginative; it's our sexual fantasies and needs. Therefore, the Mars person can be a conduit for the Moon to act out their sexual fantasies, since Mars will naturally be more intrepid in that area.

It's not really a harmonious combination, though. That's the Moon-Venus conjunction. Moon-Mars is more passionate, volatile, even combative sometimes. You can expect plenty of sparks (unless there are easy Venus aspects in your synastry together). The Moon and Mars are both temperamental planets and each person will probably know how to push each other's buttons. This might be great if passion and intensity is what you get off on. But, if you like more harmony, this could be more of a hot fling than a lasting union.

so generically moon can be in one of 12 signs and so can mars, so THAT's 144 combinations. Are you that well versed to give 144 combinations of how this could play out?? and that's not including any aspects..... and yes,I will keep repeating myself until members actually get a grip and understand that you are NOT the sum total of your sun sign and asking generic questions is very niave.....
