For better or for worse, the bright light of Uranus will change things. After sweeping out the old, the new takes its place. I definitely think Uranus is connected to this, as are other natal factors too (such as NN in Scorpio, as someone mentioned, and my own Chiron in Virgo). Eventually things will look up.

I have scorpio NN in 10th trine from chiron in first. Actually, I think chiron in 10th could do it professionally..

Wow! lol - Well it sounds like your on the right path!

I only have sun+venus scorpio and find that love can really consume me if I'm not careful. Its like I have to be very guarded with my heart because once I let it go I have little control over it, which with the right person can be amazing. But with the wrong person can be very painful and hard to get over.

Sorry to hear you've experienced this though. I'm like this in relationships and in life, a lot. I feel like with dynamics of this sort, the tables always turn (and perhaps turn back, again). You'd be best to focus on your own healing and growth so that when they do turn, you'll be able to stand on your own two legs and be firm within yourself. But processing the emotions and dissecting them seem to be a part of your healing and recovery, so perhaps that is good.

Me personally, I think I am 'finally' learning the lessons of my SN in Scorpio, actually (though, I always get pinned as a big ole Scorpio all the time, ). I'm sure I have a big 'test' coming soon, but
whatever.

I hate hearing stories like this, because I've experienced it before. Do what you can to continue being a great friend and the great, supportive person I feel you are. But be sure to protect yourself and not be used up in the process.

Uranus is approaching my 7th, and will actually be there for a really, really long time, I mean...it will be there for years. So that is partially why I was asking about the Uranus transit and the extent to which you think it had an impact in this scenario, because this sounds pretty tough.

All transits act as background influences, until they make an aspect with another planet or Angle ie:Asc/Des MC/IC

I have Uranus in 7th natally, which IS a divorce aspect..

Uranus in 7th House – Angular house
These people have an intrinsic sense of fair play, of justice and of equality. When these principles are ¬consistently violated in relationships, the cumulative stress can induce a psychologically traumatic state. When this occurs they must re evaluate themselves in terms of their expectations about reality in general, and relationship dynamics specifically
Shows a desire for freedom in marriage. The partner may be unusually intelligent. Your choice of mate could be unpredictable. Need certain amount of freedom within a marriage or your partner may want or need this. Can go both ways. Difficulties in marriage either one can be too independent. Boredom and routine needs breaking occasionally to keep things fresh, exciting. But with a certain amount of eccentricity married life will not be dull.
Divorce or separation, sometimes by sudden death if Uranus is afflicted. Apt to attract a partner who wants to feel free and be a law unto themselves. Suddenly find themselves being confronted by ‘open enemies’ which will come as a surprise – but at least that way it can be dealt with (much better than 12th/secret enemies)
