Okay so I found this really usefully detailed link
http://www.astrologyindepth.com/Mars_square_Neptune

Right, this part really sunk with me.

Mars/Neptune also usually makes an extremely attractive and charismatic individual with the tendency to bring all eyes in the room towards himself;(SEXIST LOL) there is a star quality that cannot be denied in all mars/neptune configurations. However with the square this can exacerbate the challenges, because this will make him all the more hypnotic when he is doing his magic; yet all the more attractive to potential predators. Mars is the planet of aggression; paired inharmoniously with Neptune, the planet of projection, it can sometimes bring about undeserved distrust, aggression or envy from others. In children it can make natural targets of bullies as "scapegoating" is one of the more typical negative Neptune problems. With the square the attention can be more negative than positive, especially when something goes wrong.

For myself I find it easy to attract haters and sexual partners. I've always felt others being very hostile towards me like this weird sense of jealously. Not everyone but people usually with strong attention loving personalities. I don't carry myself in a overly cocky manner either, or at least I don't try to.. I was bullied a lot as a child. I've had so many bullies growing up.... One day I just became really agressive bring out my aries mars and people just backed off.

I swear every time I post a topic this site decides to glitch

You also need to take into account *other aspects* to these two, espec if saturn is involved as it could help enormously.

Mars square Neptune
Mars Neptune Square Mars Neptune Opposition
Painful things either ignored ie self deception, or hypochondriac type, imaginary things (Neptune) Deceive or be deceived http://www.astrologyindepth.com/Mars_square_Neptune http://www.astrologyweekly.com/forum/showthread.php?t=13104&page=2 http://www.astrologyweekly.com/forum/showthread.php?t=11521 http://astrology.astrozoom.com/index.php?title=NEPTUNE_PARALLEL%2C_CONJUNCTION%2C_SQUARE_OR_OPPOSITION_TO_MARS

quote:

Mars square Neptune
The square between Mars and Neptune suggests that your natural tendencies to assert yourself may cause confusion and turmoil in your life. You may experience ups and downs in your feelings and ambitions. Vague or subconscious reasons prompting you to act may conflict with your sensitive feelings. This aspect stimulates interest in spiritual issues and produces a degree of psychic energy, even spiritual delusion. It's often associated with sexual anxieties, repressed sexual urges, or some degree of deception associated with sexual affairs. This aspect is one that suggests you may do best when you are alone. You should perhaps work by yourself or with as few people as possible. Preferably, you should work in a field such as medicine where you can satisfy a need to provide human service and remain detached. Develop your abilities to plan and control, and be more willing to accept responsibility when something goes wrong.

^ Such a Virgo ASC response

I've got Mars opposed Neptune so I can relate to the trouble here.

True. I'm AMAZED at how much time I've wasted in my life, worrying about problems that either disappeared or turned out manageable.

Yeah. Many of the interpretations out there are uninformative and completely off the mark.
I have a feeling that outer planet (Uranus/Neptune/Pluto) TO personal planet - aspects... are very difficult for astrologers to interpret properly (unless they have the aspect themselves).

Sometimes when you try to piece together disparate 'key words' and run with it, it does not work out so well. For instance Mars (aggression) and Neptune (illusion) is one pair... If the entire interpretation is based on this *one* set of possible key words, it is very narrow.
This is why I like this website - because she has thought of soooooo many different possible combinations: http://astrofix.net/2010/11/06/marsneptune-aspects - It always gives me ideas

There is a *huge* difference for example between:

quote:
Weak willed. Pushovers.

And...

quote:
Slipping in and out of roles. Con artists.

And...

quote:
The courage to act on behalf of a higher power. Using energy for a higher cause. Actions that serve a higher purpose

A person might relate to no.1 and not the others ... or to no.3 etc. They are many possibilities with this aspect.

I have Mars sq Neptune.. Its out of sign Mars late leo Neptune early sag... I also have the pisces asc

I know some people of thought I was naive.. I look very innocent and shy, yet plain at the same time...
I have had people get to know me and later say but I knew you I thought you were this miss goody good.. Super straight laced... But now I know you!

When I was little girls did try to pick on me, I would just walk away... Not because I was afraid but because I didnt feel they were worth my time... But if it go mad..Or they pushed the wrong button..
ALL my fire would come to the surface, and let me tell you they would back down quicker than I could imagine.

I have been approached by con artist.. Those stupid little scams.. But I have never fallen for those..
There was this one con artist, that approached me via web.. I knew something was off about him...
I felt a need to continue to talk to him...
I got him to admit he was trying to con me.. He did... Then we became friends...
We talked for some time..
He even years later emailed me that, he stopped conning people and had gotten married, and how he feels better about him self... Now Idk if its true, but it sure is a nice thought.

I dont really fit those descriptions of Mars/Neptune..
They seem way out there, at least for me..

I think the way it fits me, is wanting the unrealistic love story..

I feel like love should be a fight and a struggle and you have to over come something to be together...
One has to let the person go, to see if they come back..
You know chase you on the train tracks just as you quit your job and moving to a new town...
LOL.. I watch to many life time movies..

Or like the notebook... OMG thats the ultimate love story...
I feel like I need something like that to love....

Now if I wanted to I could be a con artist, could play any part or roll.. But thats not what I want to do.
