It would take at least 3 or 4 pages in a word document to write out how I feel and all the thoughts associated with it, and there is no way I can condense it. I'm not going to derail this thread any further with it.

The simplest thing I can say is I take everything seriously. Everything. I don't have to tell myself to do so, but I can tell myself not to at times. Yet, when there are times where I genuinely do not want to, I can't stop. I know it's just a story, but I can dissociate from it. The moral unpinnings within the plot of that world just bother me so much. I want to jump in there, fix them, or just do something, anything, to wake everyone up or just stop the dark ones from doing what they are doing. It strikes too close to home.

It makes me question the validity of emotion in and of itself. Without it, everything is purely logical, simple, and nothing else matters anymore. It's actually easy and the most logical way to progress. To experience emotion complicates things drastically, but adds richness to life. At what cost though? Is it truly worth the cost it requires? For lack of emotion to work, everyone must be that way. Every single person, but it removes all meaning, and the idea of even living loses meaning. There would no longer be any point.

I can't put it to words right now, I just can't. All I need is someone to just be here with me. Just be here and be silent. Understanding, where no words are needed, and just feel, together, and let it pass. Yet, I can't allow myself to forget, there's too much here. Too many valuable lessons are at hand, and for once I wonder if I can apply one to a greater good, and not just for selfish personal internal meaning.

I'll stop here.

Y'know, that reminds me a bit of myself, when I'm alone with my thoughts and feelings, when I'm not distracted from intrapersonal growth...it's kinda deep and complex and beyond the immediate, y'know? Luckily or not luckily, I'm rather frivolous and galavanting about my city keeps me from falling in too deep...

EDIT! Reading what you said was rather sobering - I apologize if I shouldn't have asked or...whatever, aha.

Just, I am far too sensitive for my own good and this movie struck a deep cord with me in a way I do not like at all. I honestly want to cry, but I don't think I am going to be able to cross that threshold.

There's a reason I avoid watching most movies. Here's to hoping I don't just bottle this up...

Aww, Tautomer.. I'm sorry that movie made you sad. If it helps, none of its real. & being sensitive is like the best thing you can be..especially compared to the people who sat in tha theatre feeling nothing. So yeah, you win. =)

tautomer, I didn't cry as much as I thought I would at the movie itself - I was too busy comparing it to the book in my head, and thinking that they shouldn't have left anything out, that this or that was too rushed.

I burst into tears on the way home, though, and didn't want to be left in the van when we had to stop in at the store on the way home. It got under my skin.
