Topic: Most common Rising Sign?

I often encounter Libra Risings. It's like they are everywhere.
On the other hand I only know of two Pisces Asc.
What do you think? Why do some Rising signs seem to be more prominent and could there be an explanation?IP: Logged |

I think it depends on what's in your chart why you attract what you do. If you're encountering a lot of Libra risings then maybe there's transits going on in your chart, or it's coincidence.For me I attract a lot of Scorpio rising, suns, or moons. I have Pluto in the 5th and Gemini rising though so both of those could add to why they feel "familiar" to me. IP: Logged |

I agree with Hanna, really depends on who you attract. I only know one Libra Rising but I know a lot of Virgo, Scorp and Leo Risings.The link Dysfunctionalmystic posted is interesting. Didn't know Gemini Risings were such a rare breed  IP: Logged |

I truthfully have no idea why that could be. I guess its just random..
I was in a dysfunctional relationship with a scorpio rising! He found me to be an enigma and I perplexed him. I eventually realized that I'm not at all like his 7th house sign, taurus. I'm not stable like he needed. Eventually my changeable self changed to a point he didn't like and it just drove him into insanity.
I'm friends with a pisces rising... She's actually really talkative and fun! She does have saturn and mars though in her 1st...
I see her as the perfect friend and my 11th house is pisces, so it kind of makes sense to me. her moon is taurus so that could also be why shes the perfect friend in my eyes. a lot of taurus' i know are faithful. I know a lot of leo risings. I love fire sign risings, they're so fun and passionate. IP: Logged |

Simples--- there are signs of Long Ascension and signs of short Ascension, depening on where your life of course. In UK signs of short Ascension are Aquarius (mine) Pisces and Areis. Now signs of long Ascension are Cancer, Leo and Virgo in particular... ------------------

It also feels like there's a lot of Aquarius Risings on this forum. Air signs seem to be a popular elemental ascendant placement. I don't meet too many fire rising signs or earth or water. I tend to meet Libra's a lot then again I'm a Libra with Venus in the 7th. So yeah who knows.IP: Logged |

The most common AC I've encountered is Cap. Second, mix between Cancer & Lib.------------------

Libra Asc is most common in the northern hemisphere... it rises for the longest amount of time, almost 3 hours, hence the large amount you claim to find. Travel to South America and they would be the minority.That said, I don't find any other Libra Asc, and I live in the US! I'm the only one I know of, and I've done MANY people's charts.
