I was just saying - everyone does it - and there is nothing wrong with that.
I thought your comment - "Not only is honesty a clear trait"... meant that honesty is your personality trait.. or something along those lines... like 'you are always honest'. quote:

You misunderstood me. The quest for honesty is always there. I never said that I am always honest. I am far from being perfect and fall short of all standards of perfection. Claiming perfection would be explicitly saying that I'm a Supreme Being, which I am not. Having said that, I always do strive for honesty.IP: Logged |

Ok! I understand now. I do believe in God but I'm not all for the many different rules involved in Christianity.

Uh I'm sorry.
I simply wanted to learn about the aspects a person would have that would cause them to lie. In the end they were born into it so I mean how much can we blame them for it?So let's not attack each other or offend one another. I still believe that though lying gets you so far, honesty gets you AND EVERYONE else that you love farther. You may or may not choose to believe that but it's an observation I've made in my own life. I've had people close to me lie and the small lies did snow ball into their reputation being brandished as ..."fake" "don't ever believe what he/she said, he/ she never utters the truth." And fact is no one lies constantly, but they certainly get labeled that way. Lying to strangers about personal info or for your safety makes a hell of a lot of sense to me. Other than that either one avoids the topic or tells the truth. When I don't want ot anser a question I general switch topics; I gues for me that is better than lying. And again living with integrity is important to everyone no matter who you are. Symapthy, empathy are all tied into honesty. If someone were to genuinely be upset about something quite valid, I don't think I would feel as giving of my symathy, empathy if that same person had annoyed me with their petty lies. I just wouldn't feel like giving my time to someone that acts cowardly and selfish. Yes, I think that liars tend to be cowardly because they refuse to face the truth and the consequences of their actions. It seems they want to squirm out of situations without the responsibilities of their actions. They seem selfish to me because they don't really care that they are puttingthe blinds over your eyes. They don't mind if you make decisions based on their lies. All they want is to ensure that they are in the safe zone. Again, I would like to say, I can lie like a pro if I choose to. I have even, as a prank, but sometimes I'm amazed at my ability to lie so well and pull it off. I just enjoy being honest more. I feel stronger. I guess because I can handle the consequences of my actions. If I don't wanto t go out with someone. I'll tell them that I'm just not in the mood for it or that I'm blah and just can't get myself to go. As another person I would hope that person realizes that he/she goes to these things as well. Well obviously - that happens if they do it frequently or more often than the average person & if they are not the best psychologist (hence, lying poorly). Otherwise every single person would gain a reputation as a 'liar' - which doesn't happen. quote:

I just enjoy using my discretion and doing whatever I think is BEST depending on the context.. whatever would have the best outcome - as far as I can tell. Capriquarius - quote:

Dreaming - Would you enjoy being honest in the situation I mentioned above?

Faith - I don't know about liar aspects.. but the first thing that hit me was this person lacks water - hence they may be a particularly bad liar.. since they cannot intuit other people's emotions very well. Probably not the best psychologist.
