By sign only tells you 1/3 of the story, the house tells another and lastly aspects.

Actually my NN ruler and its house position has been more telling. What about the moon's role in all this?? Afterall it is the moon's high point and low point.

Gosh you have me stumped. I didn't think the moon sign had anything to do with the nodes.

Thanks for the hint about looking at the NN house ruler and where it resides.

I have NN in the fourth, house ruler (Pluto) in the third:

quote:
The ruler of the fourth house in the third

Because the third sector, is a sector of movement and travel, the person may be unsettled residentially. If the fourth ruler is well dignified and fortified by aspect, then these changes will be profitable to the person, however traditional Vedic astrology implies that relationships with some relatives may not be so good, principally if this planet is badly afflicted and step-brothers or step-mother may cause trouble for them.

I did move "profitably" and do have a difficult relationship with some of my siblings, but I can't put this all together as especially pertinent to my karmic path.

I can't help thinking The Nodes in Western Astrology is like mixing apples with oranges. Or playing with a half deck of cards. In eastern astrology the Moon represents the individual and carries all the importance. This is why it would make sense to look at the Nodes because they represent significant junctures in the moon's/individual's journey.

In Western Astrology the sun is given the most significance, while the moon is said to represent our emotional side. Much in the same way Mars is said to represent our sexual side. At the same time we're asked to track the moon's nodes for Karma and life's purpose. But not the nodes of Mars, or Venus...hmmmm

What I meant was I looked at NN ruler and NN ruler's house for insight into NN issues.

NN - 12 Virgo in 12th house.

Mercury @ 0 Cancer in 10th.

I've also got...

SN - 12 Pisces in 6th house

Neptune @ 19 Sagittarius in 4th.

^^especially where the SN is concerned (because I've already had two SN returns) Neptune/Sagittarius/4th house/mother figure themes is/are/were very strong.
