Topic: Do your parents signs influnce the way you yourself look?

I posted a picture of myself and alot of people said i look like an earth sign, like a virgo (im a gemini!) I said that my mom is a virgo and can i look like one because she is. Then someone else said that they have been told they look like a sign they wernt but there parents were..... SO my question, is that possible? Has anybody ever told you that you look like your parents sign? (Btw, i said that ppl were saying i look like earth, its not like my rising or moon are earth. Libra rising and cancer moon here. I have next to no earth in my chart)!!------------------

Planets in the first house or in aspect to your ascendant can influence your appearance. My mom's a Taurus and my dad's a Pisces. I have Venus in Taurus and no Pisces, but I do have Neptune in the first house, and I've been told that people can pick up on the Pisces/Neptune in my face.IP: Logged |

Yup - I was the second person!
So it does work for me. People guess Leo (my mum's sign) and Aquarius (my dad's).. and I have nothing in either sign.. only Sun/Venus/NN in the 11th.. and Pluto in the 5th. I'm not sure how it works.. It could have something to do with decanates as well. My Sun is Aries in the Leo decanate.. and I have a leonine mane. IP: Logged |

I have the same ascendant like my dad (Libra); I am an Aries and he has Mars on the ascendant... so yes, we look alike, but there are astrological reasons.IP: Logged |

Oh, and reading the original question, I realized I forgot: he is a Cap sun with Cap stellium and I have Saturn conjunct the ascendant (retro and from the 12th, karma much?  )IP: Logged |

Hmm...Could be hard to tell with me. People have told me I look like an Aries. My dad is an Aries, but I also have an Aries Moon and quite a few planets in the first house, so it's no surprise I might come off as a bit Arian. No one has told me I look like an Aquarius though, and that's what my Mom is. IP: Logged |

People always guess aquarius or gemini or pisces.
Aquarius - 10th
gemini - 1st
pisces - 11th
^ in my chart.Mom and dad are taurus & leo.

Lol hey Betty! Umm yea its so odd! Or maybe my pic looks weird.... i was smiling and when i smile my eyes get super small but actually they are rather huge. Idk if small eyes = earth signs tho lolol------------------

Yeah!! Me either so why i look like earth when i have so much air water and fire. More water then air or fire....  makes no sense------------------

Well my mother is Triple Virgo; Sun, Asc and Pluto, with a Capricorn moon. My father has a Capricorn sun. I always get told I look like my mother but I have a Taurus Asc, Cancer sun and Gemini moon.IP: Logged |

I guess it all depends on specific circumstances. In my case, my parents are signs that fill my own natal chart. Therefore if I look somewhat like them or if people guess their signs, it makes sense because I have their placements in my natal chart.Father: Aquarius Sun, Sagittarius Moon
Mother: Aries Sun, Sagittarius Moon
Me: Libra Sun, Aries Moon, Aquarius Rising Therefore if people were to guess I was an Aquarius or Aries sun sign, well my ascendant is in Aquarius and my Moon is in Aries so they would be guessing pretty accurately about those energies. For the most part people have a hard time guessing my sign placements, it's probably having a Libra Sun with Aqua Rising, all that air throws people off. This is why I consider this question circumstantial. It only applies to those who don't have placements similar to their parents I assume, but guessing isn't meant to be accurate. It's like shooting an arrow in the dark hoping it hits the target. Regardless though, you'll have a few placements, whether signs or in houses that are a reflection of your parents because you do carry their genes. But this is an interesting topic. IP: Logged |

^ I wonder if everyone has planets or placements that reflect their parents?As for sun, my Dad was Libra, my Mom was Leo; I'm a Cap singleton with Pluto Libra, Leo ASC and Saturn. I really don't know who I look like. No other earth signs in the big family so is that "double singleton"?  IP: Logged |
