I think it's a matter of pride.
So maybe an afflicted Sun?
Someone who doesn't like admitting they are wrong, so maybe afflicted Saturn/Capricorn?

I know a guy like this who has an Aries Mercury.
He just doesn't understand that he did anything wrong.. and when someone gets hurt - he always feels like actually the other person is over-sensitive.
So it is never him. It is always someone else.I'm friends with a girl who has a Leo Mercury. She does not like saying sorry either.. but as opposed to the Aries Merc guy - she makes up for it in other ways and acts extra nice towards the person, which still counts. Other than the two of them, I've actually met a bunch of Virgo Mercury people who will never apologise come hell or high water. IP: Logged |

And the most apologetic are... Libra/Cancer and Pisces Mercury. Doux - quote:

I really think it is a Mercury-related matter... although the Sun could be involved as well.. but Mercury rules our thought process, the things we choose to say or not to say, the way we communicate etc.
The guy I mentioned with Aries Merc -- has a Pisces Sun so he has a caring side... but whenever he opens his mouth he ends up hurting someone accidentally.. and def. does not apologise. IP: Logged |

I agree with the Virgo Mercury thing,, very much....Virgo sun as well, I have rarely heard those words from...sitting here thinking, perhaps only a few times from my mother in our lifetimes, never from my mother in law and sis in law and never from the bfriend....all Virgo suns.IP: Logged |

Oh yes, I was going to say strong Leo, too.
I agree about Virgo Mercuries.And those with strong Libra are definitely very apologetic! I know so many people with strong Libra placements and they say sorry very often. IP: Logged |

Virgos hates being wrong,making mistakes. Apologising could cement the fact that they were wrong - their world is crushing down. Not admitting to it means survival 
But,Virgos are genuine people.

Afflicted sun-mercury conjunction.  The mind is tied to the ego, so things could be taken too personally if challenged. Having to apologize for an idea or something they said (Mercury) would be a hit to their pride (Sun). IP: Logged |

I have a Virgo ASC, and I would apologize...if I were ever wrong...which is never. j/k I do not like hurting others--intentionally or unintentionally--and so I am quick to apologize. Even if I feel I am right, I can still apologize for hurting someone.IP: Logged |

all the virgos (solar) i have known seem to be this way
(in my past experience so far anyway) 2 had libra mercuries, one with scorpio moon, the other with scorpio mars. the other had virgo mercury - leo moon. I dont think its a placement thing. Its more a subjective / synastry thing in my opinion.IP: Logged |

I haven't personally noticed this in Virgo people with a Libra Mercury. I'm not sure about Leo Merc.. I don't think I know any with Leo Merc. IP: Logged |

I am usually quick to apologize, and can say that I'm sorry too often. I used to practically apologize for living. I got used to people not being able to apologize (or not being willing to), because it seemed to really hurt them to say it, but now I'm back to needing to hear it at times.I know a Cappy Sun/Merc who has admitted that she hates to apologize, and has a lot of trouble doing so. I know a Taurus with Aries Mercury who apologized once - no, twice. First time he did it, I was glad I was sitting down - but he was trying to manipulate me. Teasel it's interesting because online I've seen (and also heard of) people with Aries Merc who are not self-centered or egotistical - like you and sand for example.
