What aspects would you say are a big turn-off in synastry? Not ones which you dislike but ones where you couldn't be less interested in someone else? IP: Logged |

Mercury square mercury Mercury square mars Mars square mars (or opposition) Moon square mars Moon square moon Venus square venus No brainer really. I don't like misunderstandings, petty conflict, overdramatic fights and feeling like I always have to explain myself to someone.

Couldn't Jupiter square Jupiter also have this effect due to differing value systems?

There is nothing worse than having NO aspects between personal planets and angles, especially Venus, Moon and the ruler of DESC.But if you pointed a gun to my head and asked me, I`d say squares between same planets (though some people seem to thrive on the conflict that Mars-squares bring, as they experience it as passion; well I am not one of those. lol). Even worse than tht would be a lack of resonance between the natals imo added to a lack of synastric aspects. Interestingly I like Mercury square Mars though, this one is interesting, much of verbal banter, and as long as the rest of the personal planets get along, I experience it as spice, not as real conflict. But I have Mars in Sagittarius and Mercury in Sag as well, so maybe that is why.

Yep, me neither. But would they put you off someone? Stop you being interested in them or attracted to them? IP: Logged |

I'd say this is the same for me. The worst being mercury square mercury. I can't even tolerate it in friendships. Most anything that squares my mercury actually. Largely because communication is the most important thing to me.

I actually had Mercury square Mercury w/ a friend and ironcially we got along great. If we had any disagreements they were very settle. Maybe it could of been that she hid her true thoughts since she was so shy and timid, who knows. Another bad aspect I would add to the list is venus square saturn. in my experience definitely a thumbs down x.x IP: Logged |

Yeah but I would hope my relationship is harmonious. And moon square mars just causes semi explosive arguing, which is not attractive at all. I had mars opposition mars (1 degree) before. There were definite sparks, but it felt like he was always trying to 'one up' me. Mercury square mars is also a biggy. It ****** me off! IP: Logged |

how did you feel and experience this? i was saturn and i felt totally devoted to venus, i just want to know how venus would experience it, people told me since she was venus that she felt "pressured" by me, but that cant be the case, because we were both seemingly emotionally invested, i only became pressuring when she just thought she could just walk away without an explanation, after she had made promises and commitments to me, i would have been reasonable if she would have talked to me like a mature adult. For me, I didn't feel "pressured" by the guy. He was actually a really nice person.. but for some reason his presence felt heavy, like a burden. You know how when you try on clothes and even if its something you really like it just isn't comfortable to wear. Sometimes no matter how hard you try to make a relationship work theres no use.. It's the mystery of Synastry my friend IP: Logged |

Yes, I agree with this. Personally I think I am likely to go off someone whose Saturn squares my DSC ruler. However, perhaps I wouldn't, maybe they would go off me instead. quote: venus square saturn sucks, but at the same time is very bonding
I know an unhappily married couple with this, being the Venus is hard is this combo. But it doesn't prevent attraction and attachment, quite the contrary. Saturn is odd in this way. I'm really wondering if there are aspects that make you go "Not him! No way her!" Or just aspects that are a turn-off, like Saturn conjunct ther asteroid Lust maybe? That one is just a guess.
