I do wonder what ASC he is. He likes to write some scary stuff so Jupiter in Scorpio in the 3rd sounds quite accurate actually.

I much prefer the Kubrick version, but a literary genius cannot necessarily be a equitable genius in film, too. I think the basic story stays similar enough in a film so you get its message, but a lot is changed to make the story more appealing to film and , sadly, more marketable to mass audiences. I've enjoyed a lot of the films and movies based on his books but I am sure many feel his actual books are better. I'm not really one to talk because like I said, I love his stories but his actual writing style is not for me. I still have read a lot of his books, though.

I didn't read the book so I cannot say. I'm sure the same moments that I find touching were concieved by King.

I love looking at famous people. I don't have a feel for Hitchcock as I never really got into his films. King's ASC--that is a hard one lol

It would be interesting to see his Nessus as Nessus is the darkest asteroid, I think.

The Shining I haven't read, either, but I do know one of the things King complained about was the radical transformation of Jack Torrance. Apparently he comes off very differently in the book? You should read it next and let us know!

King seems like a gemini ascendant to me because his north node makes sense in the 12th house.....12th house Taurus and 1st house gemini is the strongest indication of a writer because they make money spending time alone...that or a monk......and when the north node is there...it puts scorpio in the 6th house...serving the public with intense/purifying stories of sex, death, and transfomration....and his jupiter there shows that his work will expand....I consider his writing hard work so I would put it more in the 6th house......his story telling ability and his attempts to teach people on youtube about his way of writting make me think he has cancer in the third or second.....because cancer is moody and emotional just like he is but in a teacher kind of way....maternal.....finally.....I'm a gemini ascendant too.

In Lonakes charts, he has a 3rd house stellium. He would have to, I think.

--Ruler of the 2nd personal resources is Sun in Virgo in the 3rd for writing generating income.
--Conj Venus for attracting money.
--Venus rules the IC, conj Sun (h2 ruler) in the 3rd, his home life is centered in writing for income.
--The Sun in Virgo in the 3rd, he has (or at least had) a habit of writing 10 pages every morning.
--MC ruler in the 12th for seclusion related to the career.
--H6 of habits ruler is Scorp Jupiter in 5th trine that Mars in 12th for habitual activity centered on creative matters in seclusion.
Those are some indicators with that chart.

--Also see the money from writing w.NN Taurus, ruled by Venus conj the H2 ruler Sun, in the 3rd.
--ASC ruler Moon in Sagittarius in the 5th.
--Scorp Jup on SN, I like this one for his writing too.
If they do eventually barcode all of us, or implant a microchip, I want to request that they include time of birth in the mix.

Mars trine Jupiter has to be one of the best aspects to have. I am convinced. It gives so much energy & enthusiasm & an ability to get others involved on your bandwagon/personal crusade. And also luck.

Venus conj the Sun. He has that beauty, even in his writing.I can feel that in a man. I know Rod and Mert have it on here. I think Sand has it, too.It is a beauty is all I can say that is optimistic, not bitter, like knowing and hoping something beautiful is going to happen. King has that too.

Hi Lonake. Up in the middle of the night, again

I LOVE THE MOVIE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION.

One of my all-time favorites.

Other than that...I just cannot handle horror. With all due respect to the King.

Thanks for posting his chart, though. Interesting!

Love that book. Man, that had such tenderness, heart and soul. Faith, "The Stand" is my favorite book of all time!

I love that picture of Stephen on this thread. He looks as gorgeous as he writes

I don't really know much about him, but he has Mercury in Virgo in the 3rd House in Sidereal/Vedic Astrology.

I know we're talking about Tropical Astrology here, but I just thought I'd share that because that's an excellent (probably one of the best) placement for a great writer. Of course his aspects Mercury makes is the turning point as to what unique style his writing possess, though.
