I've noticed this is a big deal with air influenced people. I would expect it from Libra because they are Venusian and Venus wants things to be beautiful in both appearance and manners. But one would imagine Aquarius and Gemini would have thicker skin. Even when they joke around they are very polite about it.. unless they also have some fiery placements in their chart. What confuses me though is that sometimes they have moments when they do the exact opposite and rebel against social behaviour - to stand out.
But it's a bit strange because like 90% of the time they will be extra polite.. so people really don't expect it. If you are air-influenced - is politeness a big deal to you? And is your sense of humour more so slanted towards nice jokes.. rather than slightly 'mean' or punchy jokes? IP: Logged |

Politeness is a huge deal to me. I am turned off by disrespectful douche bags.I wouldn't say I'm all about nice jokes, though. I like crude and mean jokes. As long as they're jokes. Typically Air signs aren't emotionally invested in many things. Especially not when living life can be so fun and light. I can be very sarcastic and have a dark sense of humor however it's never offensive or impolite. I don't have energy to seethe or simmer with irritation or fury at someone while directing passive aggressive remarks or jokes in their direction. I just won't talk to them. Actually Air signs are can be really good at ignoring those that irritate them. When I don't have anything nice to say, I TRY, to not say anything. That doesn't always go over however I do my best not to get to entangled and keep conversations light and Airy because life is just so much more glorious that way. I think you have to look at Sun, Moon and ASC. As a strong Gemini, I value refinement. I try to act in a refined way but I love humor which may go outside the borders of this. A Gemini loves to laugh so if the humor gets a little nutty, you do it. However, as a cancer moon, I hate to hurt someone's feelings.I feel terrible if I do. ------------------

moon fire, asc air GEMINIIIIIiiI'm a lot of Libra energy----and we all know how Libra's love to be nice. *Rolls eyes* (I feel like I say this all the time. lol) I'm the same way. I usually don't like prejudice jokes or rude behavior... unless its funny or sexy. If you can make it work, or if I like you, I'll let you get away with it. But most times It's just like "ew, no class." I'm a naughty Libra, but you'd never know it. lol. I think a lot of terrible things, but you'll never catch me saying it. unless I'm mad, then It may come out...... People who are so concerned with how a situation is presented, living on the surface of how it comes off to any given person -- of course they're going to care whether its right or not. Pleasantries, politeness, and overall friendly demeanors are very very important to me. I am put off very quickly by individuals who lack social tact and or disregard others for their own personal self interests. I am huge on fairness and overall cordial presentations with others. Those who intentionally rock the boat will catch my scorn very fast. Well, assuming the situation permits me to cast out my scorn. Must retain those pleasantries . I also have very little tolerance for unclear or tasteless sarcasm.I blame this largely (if not entirely) on my libra rising. Almost all other libra risings that I know are very similar to me in this. ------------------

I like dirty/crude humour, lol. But I don't like humour at other people's expense. I've never thought of it in terms of politeness, though. I'm very airy but my next most-dominant element is fire.IP: Logged |
