You have to ask... You just have to be smooth about it

Think of ways of asking, with out saying its astrology. So it wont seem weird... LOL

Like one time. I really wanted to know this guys time.. So I brought up birthdays.. I made it into some sort of joke.. Yeah your lying.. hahahahah.... I bet you dont even know what time your born...
He ran and got his certificate to prove he KNEW his time...
Classic!

Not sure what in my chart makes me do it, but...

I just come right out and ask. I say I'm into astrology and I want to know your birth data.

Usually they give it right up or say they will ask their mother for the exact time.

They usually seem interested too. Just be honest.

After explaining to them that they are more than just their Sun Sign, and they have a whole chart with planets in different signs all aspecting each other...

...well their ego kicks in and they want to know everything about themselves! LOL

works every time. no need for arm twisting or guessing, or beating around a bush.

people usually seem to become more interested when they know there's more to it than what's in the daily paper s'copes.

as astrologers we must also be educators.

you'd be surprised at how many people are open to this.

i just ask, and if they ask why, i just say i have an OCD thing about not counting it is my birthday until the time i was born (8:40am) and i wait to say happy birthday to others at their time, i know weird.... but this approach has worked for me.

Five alarm siren. Weirdo at 12 o'clock. .

Fast way of clearing the room: "so.. say.. do you know what time you were born? So that I can micro-analyze your chart to death? Please?".

"Yeah I know your birthday, but what year were you born? Damn I thought you were younger. At least you don't look that old".

Just asking the year of birth is like Loser Alert galore. Asking a girl how old she is = girl asking "hey you, what was your Adjusted Gross Income on your Federal 1040 last year?".

No pal.

How old are you? What country do you live in?

When you are having a conversation with someone who is interested, asking their time of birth is not "loser alert galore"

******* .

And when you are a cool hot chick, guys will tell you whatever you want to know.

Maybe that's why it's always not been a problem. People - male or female, always feel comfortable enough around me to talk about it.

i agree, i havent had a problem asking people, most people just either tell me or say they dont know, alot of people dont sadly, but i mostly just sneek this question in when im talking to a girl i like, and they never seem to be weirded out by it.

To be honest I find it more creepy to construe a big complicated story for finding out such a simple thing.

I usually simply ask.
If I have the feeling it may be "weird", I don`t ask and keep up with not knowing. But those people who matter to me I can ask with no problem. They wouldnīt be close to me if I felt I couldnīt talk to them honestly about it. They may not share my view, but they better respect my interest.

Same here. I like honesty, sometimes brutal honesty. & would rather have a convo with someone slightly interested than some jerk that would blow off any talk of astrology.

Luckily that hasnt happened yet.
