I'm interested if anyone knows of any good Astrology blogs.

Specifically ones that deal with conceptual work, compartmentalizing/networking info into key words or phrases, experimental work, backwards engineering and/or future uses.

Preferably written in layman's terms.

Not charts or signs/transits/synastry/etc... but the other stuff, the blogs from people working on the future.

Any clues where I can find that?

Those are both really good blogs, and I'll take the time to go over them if only because I like learning things, but neither are what I'm looking for.

The first one focuses on charts the second one focuses on transits... but...

I'm having difficulty putting to words what I'm looking for because I haven't found it yet. It's like... when I look at Astrology and Astrologers, I feel like I've walked into a Mathematics convention where everyone knows how to multiply but no one knows how to divide. Or, back in time before people understood the concept of zero. And trying to explain what I'm looking for is just as difficult as trying to explain to an average person what "infinity" actually means.

Although I will say, the second blog hit on conceptual work. But it only hit it a little and didn't do it on purpose.

By compartmentalizing/networking info into key words or phrases I mean, people working on websites where you type in a word or a phrase and it leads to the possible planets/houses/signs/aspects that have to do with the word. Not what those planets/houses/signs/aspects actually mean.

Experimental work, people actively working at using Astrology in experiments. This is actually easier to find. But, also cataloging their data to help... I don't know the words... find the ones and zeros.

Backwards engineering... well, that should be obvious based on my last topic I posted. Looking for people who have spent a good amount of time looking at words and phrases spoken and written by other people in order to determine their birthdate and time... along with the methods that they used to configure the information.

Future uses, people who spend most of the their time writing about the possible uses of Astrology in the future. Not things that are necessarily plausible, but just... ideas. (for example, generating an artificial astrological field in order to obtain instantaneous travel to anywhere in space).

Astrology is opposed traditional science in that aspect of the grand square (with religion and occult making up the squares). They are two sides to the same coin, working towards the same thing but doing so in a completely opposite manner. Astrology being based on words (which incorporates numbers) and traditional science (which incorporates words). Both have their own form of mathematics... but Astrology has yet to learn advanced algebra... and it's frustrating.

So, I was hoping to find people who are working to fix that.

I think I've figured out how to word it better.

There are plenty of teacher/student blogs... i.e. people teaching and/or learning via a blog/webpage/etc.

I'm looking for the scientists.

I'm a big fan of Nadia Gilchrist- http://rubyslipper.ca/blog

and Mystic Medusa, she's all super hip (in an Aussie sort of way) about it http://mysticmedusa.com

and http://www.elsaelsa.com, plus she has cheap astro reports and there are lots of discussion boards and lots of interesting postings, and it's updated several times a day. I liked Astrofix for a while, but now she charges for some of her stuff, and she doesn't update often enough for my liking.

Ooh, also http://theastrologyplace.blogspot.com She doesn't update so much anymore, but she used to. Lots of interesting posts.

Oh, aaand http://chirotic.wordpress.com/ is GREAT, but he's writing a book and he hasn't posted in a long time either, but there are lots of great previous posts.

I don't know what exactly you mean by scientific, because I don't feel like science explains Everything, and I like to leave it out astrology myself because otherwise I end up feeling like I have to prove something, which I am really no good at. I'm much better at rambling unscientifically.

Sheesh, I'm sorry, I just read your spiel, and I'm pretty sure that I should be asking you for blogs/books/references. Sounds interesting.

Wow, thank you. You posted quite a bit, I haven't looked them over yet but I will.

To me, science doesn't prove everything... but it can. It has that possibility as long as it doesn't stereotype (which it totally does for astrology). There are two categories in science: What we know and what we don't know. Both of which are apt to change at any given moment.

There's nothing wrong with rambling unscientifically. Nothing at all. Every person on the planet knows something that no one else has ever or will ever know. The more you jabber, the more you share. The more you share, the more likely someone who does like to work from the scientific angle can find what you know and use it to prove something (even if what they started out trying to prove isn't the result).

Since I'm having such a hard time finding what I'm looking for... I'm SO SO SO terrified that I'm going to have to be the one to do it. But as the nerd in me would say, "I honestly regret not taking any points in Charisma." XD Because my style of trying to get people to help is akin to beating them over the head with a stick until they comply.

So, I just keep asking in hopes that someone else has done it.

This thread is what I'm looking for, only more... MORE: http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum24/HTML/213064.html
Except, not the collecting of the data, but the compiling of the data... and MORE.
