It's an ASC I would have never considered before, but now that I read it here, it could make sense! She is very aloof, quirky, and can be eccentric. She cares A LOT about her reputation, though, so I always guessed a Capricorn ASC... she's also had notorious teeth/gum problems which are synonymous with Cap. Plus she's bony and has a somewhat stern appearance. Are Cap ASC and Aquarius ASC all too different in apperance? IP: Logged

Do you know your grandmother's ASC? It gets tricky when they're from different countries, as mine is. No way to obtain an original birth certificate, let alone one with an accurate birth time! She is indeed very dignified and known far and wide as a very strong woman. She's got Sun conjunct Mars in Virgo -- that's probably the Aries energy you're picking up on. She's got Venus in Cancer, a rare aspect for a Virgo Sun to have. Could that be what you're seeing? She did have breast cancer, so you might be onto something..... However, if she was an Aquarius rising, Cancer would be on the 6th House cusp, which would account for the breast cancer. IP: Logged

The more I consider it as her ASC, the more it makes sense. She is indeed very aloof on first impression and acts as though "nothing phases her." She is tall, as well, as is characteristic of Aquarius. I've uploaded a few current pictures of her. She is now 71 years old. If this is indeed her ASC, her Moon conjuncts my ASC exactly, which would make sense. My Moon would also conjunct her IC exactly. Let me know!!!! :-) IP: Logged

Breastcancer is strongt usual for women in a year 40---- and in my country all women from 40 and up must go through x-ray.. Its important to check out our breast early as a preventive measure... You cant see that she got breast cancer in her chart. In anycase I can not do that. IP: Logged

Makes sense. She married her first cousin (typical of Persians) at age 18, gave him 2 kids, and when she was pregnant with the 3rd, he left her for a 17 year-old highschooler. It was and still is very controversial and uncomfortable for my family because their children are always the reminder of what my grandfather did. It was a very "Plutonic" relationship. She can also be very spiteful. She later went on to marry a very famous poet and lived a life of lavishness and luxury, inheriting millions dollars after his untimely death. I wouldn't say it really is an aqua rising thing...that's more just mad scientist look in the eyes...while it also looks like they're not there in the moment...like they're remembering some distant memory...lol So i would say cap asc but it could also be aqua asc. Look at her the placements of her sun and moon descriptions on the astro click portrait at astro.com and see which ones makes sense for her for which of those two asc.
