Would the Venus in scorpio person feel and act the way a venus/pluto person would with regard to relationships? If the venus in scorpio also had Mars in scorpio? How would this play into the mix?

I think of it this way:

The sign a planet is in is it's true essence. What it is at it's core and ultimately what rules it.

Aspects and house placements add an overlay to this essence. Sometimes that overlay is very thick and can strongly mask the true nature of the placement. Othertimes, it's quite minor.

So really, having an aspect or house placement does not actually change the true nature of the sign the planet it is in.

hmm i dont know ,i think house placements and aspects can drastically alter things, my sun is in the twelfth conjunct saturn and i am a whole lot shyer and more inhibited than a double aquarius should be.

Good question.

Actually I am not sure about this.
Some people think that Venus in Scorpio is not as intense as Venus/Pluto but I wouldn't know.

But Venus *and* Mars in Scorpio? Chances are they're quite Scorpionic. They'd have the typical Plutonian approach in love ie intense, jealous, possessive, focused, etc.

Mwah ha ha ha.

In all seriousness, YES, it's intense. I can't say whether or not it's like having Venus conjunct Pluto, since I have both, but I can say that is a VERY intense (and spiritual) approach to relationships. Pluto and Scorpio both offer the possibility of death and destruction, but also the possibility of rebuilding and renewal.

haha thats heavy stuff, too heavy for a gemini mars XD

I can't really infer personally, either, as i also have Venus in scorpio conjunct Pluto, and in the eighth house on top of all of that. I would think that an aspect would only modify the expression of the planet's natural placement, howver, when taking into consideration an outer planet contact to a personal planet . . . I think this is a heavier, more expressive and prominent aspect than a normal aspect would be. In that sense, I would think Venus/Pluto is more intense than a simple Venus in Scorpio (which many more people have).

So what about the people who have an air Mars and a Scorpio Venus (or Venus/Pluto)? Are they less intense then?

Still intensely emotional and attached to their S/O, just more detached externally. Their intense feelings are tempered with airy aloofness . . . they are more comfortable with space in a relationship, but probably are often conflicted by that very same sentiment. Maybe less inclined to power games/manipulation. Aspects to the Mars would of course modify what I'm saying.

I'd say maybe less intense in terms of drive/motivation, but intense emotionally. If we're talking about romantic relationships, it's not to say that they might want sex less, but that they might be less "heavy" about it, if that makes sense. They might think about it more in a detached or intellectual way than would a water Mars.

Air anything isn't super-intense, at least in my experience with airy people and airy placements.

That's not to say that airy people are cold or unfeeling, just that it's not in the same way as, say, water.

An air Mars might me motivated more by intellectual stimulation or ideas or something else cerebral, whereas a water Mars might be more motivated by emotion.

I agree Regardes, thank you for your input!

It's interesting because I have a water Mars and an air Venus but I am not too sure how that plays out for me because it's kind of confusing.

lol i like the passion of scorpio placements,i dated a girl who had mars conjunct pluto and they were both in scorpio and she had a sexdrive as high as any guy ,so that was cool lmao, and i liked her but she was so closed off and suspicious that it killed things for me.

Lol. I have a gemini mars along with venus opposite pluto in scorpio. Both pluto and venus also aspect my mars, which makes things interesting. Haha.

I had a roommate who had venus in scorpio. She was the biggest b***h that I have ever known. She loved drama and would start fights with her boyfriend just so she could have drama in her life. It almost seemed like she didn't think a relationship was real unless there was a lot of drama, game-playing, accusations and possessiveness involved. She displayed the worst qualities of this placement. I'm sure other venus in scorpios are better able to control their jealousy.

I think venus in scorpio is intensity in its purest (for lack of a better word) form. Venus/pluto is VERY intense, but is modified based on sign placement. For example, a venus in Leo sextile Pluto in Libra will behave differently than a venus in Gemini square Pluto in Capricorn. Both will have scorpionic qualities, but will be modified in some way.

"Pluto intensifies whatever it touches." That means it makes a Venus in [insert random non-Scorpio sign here] more intensely a Venus in [insert random non-Scorpio sign here]....whether it intensifies the positive or negative aspects will depend on..well, the aspect lol. But a Venus in [insert random non-Scorpio sign here] with a Pluto aspect will never be the same flavor/color/etc as a Venus in Scorpio.

This would result in a Mars-type personality, since Mars is "comfortable" in Scorpio as a co-ruler whereas Venus is in detriment. A fighter/warrior/conqueror, not much of a lover.

and to answer somebodys questions about air mars with venus/pluto scorpio

my bf has libra mars and venus conjunct pluto both in scorp and he is pretty possessive but also tends to be aloof like somebody said..i feel like he has a hard time realllly expressing how hard or how much he feels with the aloof mask but nontheless these ppl are still very loyal it'll just add a little lightness to their lovin same as if mars wuld be in fire sign it wuld add lightness and fieryness to their way of expressing love

I can relate but I have Cap Moon/Venus square Pluto instead of the conjunction + an air Mars. Not much Scorpio in my chart but aspects that would explain my intense emotional nature. It's love, hate, destruction, passions and obsessions... I feel like my inside is burning, but the outside stays cool (until I explode). My Uranus in Scorpio is stationary (R), that may also boost everything a little bit.
